FRANGIBLE, GELATIN-FREE CAPSULE, METHODS OF PREPARATION AND APPLICATION THEREOF.-

Abstract

In order to solve the existing problem that the insertion of seamless capsules into filter rods easily leads to an increased rejection rate, this disclosure provides a breakable, seamless, gelatin-free capsule, a method of preparation, and applications thereof. The breakable, seamless, gelatin-free capsule comprises a shell and a core liquid encapsulated by the shell, wherein the core liquid comprises a flavoring agent and a lipophilic solvent, and a coating layer is provided on the outer surface of the shell. The coating layer comprises a film-forming polymeric material and solid particles dispersed therein, and the solid particles are partially exposed on an outer surface of the coating layer and form an integrated structure with the coating layer. In this disclosure,The solid particles are partially exposed on the outer surface of the coating layer, making the capsule surface rough and increasing friction between the capsule and the filter filament assembly during production. This reduces defects such as missing capsules, displacement, and a high rejection rate when the capsule is inserted into the filament assembly, further improving performance, effectively reducing the manufacturer's cost investment, and decreasing resource waste.
