Claims
1. A lubricating oil composition for diesel engines intended for heavy-duty operation, comprising: base oil (A) with a %C index p , as defined in ASTM D3238, 90 or greater, and an index improver (B) containing a hydrogenated diene-styrene polymer (b) with a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of less than 580,000, wherein the high-temperature viscosity of the composition at high shear rate at 150°C (HTHS viscosity at 150°C) is 3.5 mPa⋅s or more, the low-temperature engine starting viscosity at -35°C (CCS viscosity at -35°C) is 6200 mPa⋅s or less, and the low-temperature pumping viscosity at -40°C (MRV viscosity at -40°C) is 60000 mPa⋅s or less.
2. A lubricating oil composition for heavy-duty diesel engines according to claim 1, wherein the content of the hydrogenated diene-styrene polymer (b) from the total amount of the lubricating oil composition (100 wt%) is 1.5 wt% or more.
3. A lubricating oil composition for heavy-duty diesel engines according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the molecular weight distribution (Mw / Mn) of the hydrogenated diene-styrene polymer (b) is greater than or equal to 1.0 and less than 2.
