Claims
1. A capsule with wings for delivering a substance to an animal, wherein the capsule with wings contains a capsule forming a central axis and an internal space adapted to contain a substance, and the capsule contains an opening adapted to deliver the substance to the animal; a capsule retainer comprising a central portion of wings connected to the capsule and wings connected to the central portion of the wings and extending laterally from it, wherein at least the first wing of the wings comprises: first lateral marginal rib; the second lateral marginal rib; and an intermediate longitudinal rib located between the first lateral marginal rib and the second lateral marginal rib, wherein the intermediate longitudinal rib extends further laterally from the central axis than the first lateral marginal rib and the second lateral marginal rib.
2. A capsule with wings according to claim 1, wherein the thickness of the first wing changes from the central part of the wings to the first end of the first wing.
3. A capsule with wings according to claim 2, wherein the first wing continuously tapers in the thickness direction.
4. A capsule with wings according to claim 2, wherein the first lateral marginal rib ends at a first end of the rib, wherein the first wing further includes a distal end having a distal marginal rib, wherein the distal marginal rib ends at a second end of the rib, and the thickness of the first wing varies from the first end of the rib to the second end of the rib.
5. A capsule with wings according to claim 1, wherein the first wing includes a distal end having a distal width, and an intermediate section between the distal end and the central part of the wings, and the intermediate section has a width tapering from a width adjacent to the central part of the wings to the distal width.
6. A capsule with wings according to claim 5, wherein the intermediate longitudinal rib ends at the first end of the rib, and the first end of the rib is located between the intermediate section and the distal end.
7. A capsule with wings according to claim 6, wherein the second lateral marginal rib ends at the second end of the rib, and the second end of the rib is located between the intermediate section and the distal end.
8. A capsule with wings according to claim 1, wherein the intermediate longitudinal rib ends at the first end of the rib, and the first end of the rib is located away from the central axis at a lateral distance of 60 mm to 80 mm.
9. A capsule with wings according to claim 1, wherein the first lateral marginal rib ends at the first end of the rib, the second lateral marginal rib ends at the second end of the rib, and the first end of the rib and the second end of the rib are located away from the central axis at a lateral distance of 55 mm to 70 mm.
10. A capsule with wings according to claim 1, wherein the first wing further includes a distal end having a distal marginal rib, wherein the distal marginal rib has a lateral dimension from 5 mm to 20 mm.
11. A capsule with wings for delivering a substance to an animal, wherein the capsule with wings contains a capsule defining a central axis and an internal space adapted to contain a substance, and the capsule contains an opening adapted to deliver the substance to the animal; a capsule retainer comprising a central portion of wings connected to the capsule and wings connected to the central portion of the wings and extending laterally from it, wherein at least the first wing of the wings comprises: the first lateral marginal rib, continuing from the central part of the wings and ending at the first end of the rib; a distal end having a distal marginal rib, the distal marginal rib ending at the second end of the rib; where the thickness of the first wing continuously changes from the first end of the rib to the second end of the rib.
12. A capsule with wings according to claim 11, wherein the first wing additionally comprises: the second lateral marginal rib, continuing from the central part of the wings; and an intermediate longitudinal rib extending from the central part of the wings and located between the first lateral marginal rib and the second lateral marginal rib.
13. A capsule with wings according to claim 11, wherein the first end of the rib can be located away from the central axis at a lateral distance of 55 mm to 70 mm.
14. A capsule with wings for delivering a substance to an animal, wherein the capsule with wings contains: a capsule defining a central axis and an internal space adapted to contain the substance, and the capsule comprises an opening adapted to deliver the substance to the animal; and a capsule retainer comprising a central portion of wings connected to the capsule and wings connected to the central portion of the wings and extending laterally from it to the distal end, wherein at least the first wing of the wings comprises a lateral marginal rib extending continuously from the central portion of the wings to the distal end.
15. A capsule with wings according to claim 14, wherein the lateral marginal rib has a uniform thickness between the central part of the wings and the distal end.
16. A capsule with wings according to claim 14, wherein the lateral marginal rib continues continuously from the central part of the wings to the distal end and back to the central part of the wings.
17. A capsule with wings according to claim 14, wherein the distal end has a distal width, and the first wing further includes an intermediate section between the distal end and the central portion of the wings, wherein the intermediate section has a width tapering from a width adjacent to the central portion of the wings to the distal width.
18. A capsule with wings according to claim 17, wherein the lateral marginal rib continues continuously from the central part of the wings along the intermediate section to the distal end, back along the intermediate section and back to the central part of the wings.
19. A capsule with wings according to claim 18, wherein the first wing additionally includes an intermediate longitudinal rib located between opposite sides of the lateral marginal rib.
