Claims

1. A system for identifying at least one suckling mammal within a plurality of suckling mammals that deviate from an expected growth distribution, comprising a processing circuit configured to: obtaining information that allows for the determination of one or more behaviors of at least one suckling mammal over time; analyzing the information obtained so as to characterize one or more types of behavior exhibited by said at least one suckling mammal during said time; determining whether one or more characterized behaviors conform to a given set of rules associated with an expected growth distribution; and, if the said characterized behaviors do not correspond to the said given set of rules, identifying the said at least one suckling mammal as deviating from the said expected growth distribution.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein upon identifying said at least one suckling mammal as deviating from said expected growth distribution, said system is configured to suggest at least one action aimed at enabling said suckling mammal to return to said expected growth distribution.

3. The system of claim 2, wherein said action comprises transferring said at least one suckling mammal to individualized care, after which said suckling mammal is allowed to be within said expected growth distribution.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein each rule from said given set of rules is associated with at least one type of behavior from said one or more types of behavior.

5. The system of claim 4, wherein each rule is determined by analyzing historical information associated with said at least one type of behavior associated with said rule.

6. The system of claim 5, wherein said historical information is obtained from one or more mammal populations.

7. The system of claim 1, wherein said one or more behaviors comprise at least one of: chewing cud, sucking, grazing, feeding, walking, resting, sucking without receiving food, or panting.

8. The system of claim 1, wherein said given set of rules includes rules aimed at identifying correlations between types of behavior exhibited by said at least one suckling mammal.
