Claims
1. An aerosol generating article containing aerosol generating substrate rod, wherein the aerosol generating article has a length of at least 60 mm, wherein the rod of the aerosol-generating substrate has a length less than or equal to 36 mm, wherein the ratio of the length of the aerosol-generating substrate rod to the total length of the aerosol-generating article is less than or equal to 0.

2. An aerosol generating article according to claim 1, wherein the rod of the aerosol generating substrate has a length of at least 20 mm.
3. The aerosol generating article according to claim 2, wherein the rod of the aerosol generating substrate has a length of at least 25 mm.
4. The aerosol generating article of claim 3, wherein the aerosol generating substrate rod has a length of at least 29 mm.
5. An aerosol generating article according to claim 4, wherein the rod of the aerosol generating substrate has a length of from 29 mm to 36 mm.
6. An aerosol-generating article according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the ratio of the length of the aerosol-generating substrate rod to the length of the aerosol-generating article is less than or equal to 0.

7. An aerosol generating article according to any of the preceding claims, having a length of at least 65 mm.
8. An aerosol generating article according to any of the preceding paragraphs, having a length that is less than or equal to 90 millimetres.
9. An aerosol generating article according to paragraph 8, having a length of from 65 mm to 90 mm.
10. An aerosol-generating article according to any of the preceding paragraphs, having a maximum outside diameter that is less than or equal to 8 mm.
11. An aerosol generating article according to claim 10, having a maximum outer diameter of 5 mm to 8 mm.
12. An aerosol-generating article according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the aerosol-generating substrate comprises shredded tobacco material.
13. An aerosol-generating article according to claim 12, wherein the shredded tobacco material has a bulk density of 100 mg / cm 3 up to 350 mg / cm 3 .
14. An aerosol-generating article according to any of the preceding claims, comprising an upstream element provided upstream of the aerosol-generating substrate rod and adjacent to the upstream end of the aerosol-generating substrate rod.

An aerosol generating system containing an aerosol generating article according to any one of paragraphs 1-14; an aerosol generating device comprising a heating chamber for containing an aerosol generating article and at least a heating element provided on or around the periphery of the heating chamber.
