AQUALIC FORMULATIONS ACCEPTABLE AS LIP BALMS

Claims

1. Solid anhydrous lip care composition containing: - from more than 40% to less than 60% of a mixture of liquid oils containing at least 70% C8-10 fatty acids; - from more than 15% to less than 25% of a mixture of waxes containing at least 20% of esters of C20-24 fatty acids with glycerol; and - from more than 20% to less than 40% of at least one type of hard butter, wherein at least one type of hard butter comprises natural hard butter which is solid at 20°C and has a melting point below 50°C, all % are expressed as % by weight.

2. The solid anhydrous lip care composition of claim 1, wherein the C8-10 fatty acids are caprylic / capric triglycerides.

3. A solid anhydrous lip care composition according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the C20-24 fatty acid esters with glycerin are glyceryl behenate.

4. A solid anhydrous lip care composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the natural solid butter which is solid at 20°C and has a melting point below 50°C is shea butter.

A solid anhydrous lip care composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein at least one kind of hard oil contains at least two kinds of hard oils, and a natural hard oil which is solid at 20°C and has a melting point below 50°C accounts for at least 50% of the total content of hard oils.

A solid anhydrous lip care composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the mixture of liquid oils further comprises a liquid oil component selected from the group consisting of: triethylhexanoin, triheptanoin, hexyldecyl laurate, hexyldecanol, isodecyl oleate, cocoglycerides, cetearyl isononanoate, ethylhexyl stearate, octyldodecyl myristate, isopropyl isostearate and mixtures thereof.

A solid anhydrous lip care composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the mixture of liquid oils further comprises from 0.05% to 5% of a liquid oil selected from the group consisting of: sweet almond oil (Primus Amygdalus Dulcis), or avocado oil (Persea Gratissima), or rose damascena flower extract, or a combination thereof; all % are expressed in wt.

8. A solid anhydrous lip care composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the mixture of liquid oils contains more than 80%, preferably more than 90%, preferably more than 95%, of caprylic / capric triglycerides, and wherein all % are expressed in wt.

9. A solid anhydrous lip care composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the wax mixture further comprises at least 40% synthetic beeswax, and wherein all % are expressed in wt.%.

10. A solid anhydrous lip care composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the wax mixture further comprises from 1% to 10%, preferably from 1% to 5%, of carnauba wax (Copernicia Cerifera), all % being expressed as wt.

A solid anhydrous lip care composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the wax mixture further comprises a wax selected from the group consisting of synthetic beeswax, tribehenin, carnauba wax (Copernicia Cerifera), glyceryl behenate, cetearyl alcohol, hydrogenated rapeseed oil, microcrystalline wax, synthetic wax and combinations thereof.

12. A solid anhydrous lip care composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the mixture of solid oils further comprises less than 50% of a combination of Olus oil and hydrogenated vegetable oil and candelilla wax, and all % are expressed in wt.

13. A solid anhydrous lip care composition according to any of the preceding claims, comprising: - from 45% to 55% of a mixture of liquid oils containing at least 90% caprylic / capric triglycerides; - from more than 15% to less than 25% of a wax mixture containing at least 20% glyceryl behenate; and at least 40% synthetic beeswax; - from 25% to 35% of at least one type of hard butter, wherein at least one type of hard butter contains at least 50% shea butter; and from 10% to less than 50% of a combination of Olus butter, and hydrogenated vegetable oil, and candelilla wax, wherein all % are expressed in wt.

14. The use of a solid anhydrous composition according to any of the preceding paragraphs for obtaining a balm in the form of a lipstick.

15. Use of a solid anhydrous composition according to any of the preceding claims for lip make-up or cosmetic care of the lips, for example for moisturising them.
