Claims
1. Equipment containing: - the first part of the body, including: - processor, - memory functionally connected to the processor. - at least one light-emitting diode operatively connected to the processor, and - at least one optical sensor configured to detect, during operation, a reflected portion of light emitted from at least one light-emitting diode; - a second part of the housing, including a sealing ring; and - a connecting portion located between the first portion of the housing and the second portion of the housing, wherein the memory stores instructions for instructing the processor: - cause light to be emitted from at least one light-emitting diode when the equipment is positioned on the wearer's ear and during operation of the equipment, and - calculate the owner's blood oxygen saturation level based on the reflected portion of light.
2. The equipment according to claim 1, wherein the second part of the housing additionally includes a flexible earphone.
3. The equipment of claim 1, wherein the first portion of the housing includes a flexible earphone.
4. The equipment of claim 1, further comprising a vibration motor operatively coupled to the processor, wherein the memory further stores instructions for controlling the vibration motor in response to detecting an event.
5. The equipment of claim 4, wherein the event includes at least one of the following: - detection of the alarm signal issuing state; - detection of a low battery condition; or - detection of successful positioning of the equipment on the owner's ear.
6. The equipment of claim 1, wherein the connecting element comprises nylon.
7. The equipment of claim 1, wherein the first portion of the housing includes a flexible earphone and at least one optical sensor is positioned within a cavity defined in the flexible earphone.
8. The equipment of claim 7, wherein at least one optical sensor is secured in the cavity using epoxy.
9. The equipment of claim 1, wherein the processor and memory are positioned on a circuit board and at least one optical sensor is electrically connected to the circuit board via a flexible conductor.
10. The equipment of claim 9, wherein the flexible conductor is substantially S-shaped.
11. The equipment of claim 1, further comprising at least one of a microphone or a speaker operatively connected to the processor, wherein the memory further stores instructions for causing the processor to activate at least one of the microphone or the speaker in response to detecting an alarm condition.
12. The equipment of claim 1, further comprising a wireless transceiver operatively connected to the processor and configured to exchange data with the mobile software application, wherein the memory further stores instructions for instructing the processor to send signals representing measurement data to the mobile software application via the wireless transceiver.
13. The equipment of claim 1, wherein the memory further stores instructions for instructing the processor to send signals, according to a predetermined schedule, to the mobile software application, wherein the signals represent measurement data.
14. The equipment of claim 1, further comprising at least one sensor operatively connected to the processor, wherein the at least one sensor includes at least one of the following: a body temperature sensor, an air quality sensor, a humidity sensor, an altimeter, or a barometric pressure sensor, wherein the memory further stores instructions for instructing the processor to store, in the memory, data collected by the at least one sensor.
15. The equipment of claim 1, further comprising at least one sensor operatively connected to the processor, wherein the at least one sensor includes at least one of the following: a body temperature sensor, an air quality sensor, a humidity sensor, an altimeter, or a barometric pressure sensor, wherein the memory further stores instructions for causing the processor to send signals, according to a predetermined schedule, to the mobile software application, wherein the signals represent data collected by the at least one sensor.
16. The equipment of claim 1, wherein the reflected portion of light is a first reflected portion of light, and the instructions for instructing the processor to calculate the owner's blood oxygen saturation level include instructions for instructing the processor to calculate the owner's blood oxygen saturation level based on the first reflected portion of light and the second reflected portion of light.
17. The equipment of claim 1, further comprising an alert mechanism operatively coupled to the processor, wherein the memory further stores instructions for instructing the processor to generate and send a signal representing an alert in response to detecting user interaction with the alert mechanism.
18. The equipment according to paragraph 1, wherein the equipment is waterproof.
19. The equipment of claim 1, wherein the second portion of the housing does not include electronic components.
20. A set containing: - equipment configured to be positioned on the ear of the owner, wherein the equipment includes a first housing part, a second housing part and a connecting element mechanically connected to each of the first housing part and the second housing part, wherein the first housing part has a processor, a memory operatively connected to the processor, at least one light-emitting diode and at least one optical sensor configured to detect, during operation, a reflected portion of light emitted from at least one light-emitting diode, wherein the reflected portion of the light is reflected from the surface of the ear of the owner, wherein the memory stores instructions for causing the processor to calculate the level of blood oxygen saturation of the owner based on the reflected portion of the light; - a charging case configured to store and supply power to the equipment; and - a plurality of flexible earphones, wherein each flexible earphone of the plurality of flexible earphones is configured to be mechanically connected to the second part of the housing.
