Claims

1. A method for obtaining samples for determining the chemical composition of the wire of finished steel ropes made from high-carbon or alloy steels subjected to a heat-hardening operation with a tensile strength of up to 2350 MPa, in which the wire is collected in a bundle, placed in a special device for further sampling by milling on a lathe, consisting of a holder together with a mandrel, installed in the body of the tool holder.

2. A method for obtaining samples for determining the chemical composition of the wire of steel ropes according to paragraph 1, characterized in that the pre-obtained wire from the ropes, with a diameter d from 0.5 to 3 mm, is straightened and cut into pieces of a certain length, based on the diameter of the wire and the required mass of the metal sample and the dimensions of the mandrel, collected in a bundle in rows forming the diameter of the internal opening of the mandrel D, according to a special pattern with the formation of the centers of the circles of the sections of the wire of the first row with a diameter D1.

3. A method for obtaining samples for determining the chemical composition of the wire of steel cables according to paragraph 1, characterized in that a cylindrical burr with a diameter of 12.5 mm with a cutting part material of hard alloy is used as a cutting tool on a lathe.

4. A method for obtaining samples for determining the chemical composition of the wire of steel ropes according to paragraph 1, characterized in that the resulting shavings are similar to twisted scales 0.5-1.2 mm long, 0.1-0.5 mm wide and 0.01-0.05 mm thick without tarnish colors.

5. A method for obtaining samples for determining the chemical composition of the wire of steel ropes according to paragraph 2, characterized in that the number of rows is limited to one, with the number of wires in a row equal to seven, regardless of the wire diameter and a central core wire to increase the rigidity of the individual wire.
