Claims

A friction stir welding tool consisting of a shank that transitions on one side into a chamfer for centering the tool in a chuck and on the other side into a flange with a pin extending from it, characterized in that the pin has the shape of a truncated triconvex tetrahedron, and a chamfer is made on the shank for clamping the tool with a screw.
