Abstract

A set of oligodeoxyribonucleotide primers SEQ ID NO: 1 VT-LV-F (forward) 5'- AGGATATCTGTGGTTARGCACC -3', SEQ ID NO: 2 VT-LV-R (reverse) 5'- CTGGCAGTGGCCTTGAAAC -3' and a fluorescently labeled DNA probe SEQ ID NO: 3 VT-LV-P (Probe) 5'- (R6G) - GCTTGAGGCCAAGAACAGTTAAGC-(BHQ2) -3' to a highly conserved region of the gag gene of feline leukemia virus (FeLV) for detection of animals infected with any subtype of feline leukemia virus (FeLV) at any stage of the disease.
