Claims

A method for transmitting and receiving radio signals between two geographically separated radio networks, which consists in using at least two radio signal transmitters, emitting radio signals, characterized in that in the first and second corresponding transceivers located in the geographically separated radio networks, radio signals are received in the frequency range ƒ1, ... ƒ2 from subscriber radio stations, the received radio signals are converted into optical signals with a wavelength λ1 in the first transceiver and with a wavelength λ2 in the second transceiver, the optical signals are switched into the optical fiber of an optical cable connected to the corresponding transceiver, the optical signals are transmitted between the corresponding transceivers with a wavelength λ1 and λ2,where λ1 is the transmission wavelength for the first and the reception wavelength for the second transceiver, and λ2 is the transmission wavelength for the second and the reception wavelength for the first transceiver along the same optical fiber of the optical cable, receive optical signals in each transceiver and convert them into radio signals in the frequency range ƒ1, …, ƒ2, amplify them to the required level and radiate them into space to subscriber radio stations located in each of the geographically distributed radio networks.
