Claims

1. The use of a trans-amantadine derivative having a structure represented by Formula I, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, in the manufacture of a medicinal product for the prevention and / or treatment of lung injury:

The use according to paragraph 5, characterized in that the pharmaceutically acceptable salt is selected from: trans-4-[(2-amino-3,5-dibromobenzyl)amino]adamantan-1-ol hydrochloride, trans-4-[(2-amino-3,5-dibromobenzyl)amino]adamantan-1-ol hydrogen sulfate and trans-4-[(2-amino-3,5-dibromobenzyl)amino]adamantan-1-ol hydrobromide; preferably a hydrochloride having a structure represented by Formula V:
