Abstract

The integrative method for the comprehensive development of children "OctoSkills - 8 skills for life", related to the field of pedagogy and teaching methods, is characterized by the fact that it includes a series of structured lessons in an aquatic environment, simultaneously combining the teaching of basic swimming and diving skills, the development of emotional intelligence and social competencies, with each lesson containing three interrelated components: (1) physical exercises aimed at mastering swimming, diving and motor coordination techniques; (2) psychological exercises that help overcome fears, build self-confidence and increase emotional stability; (3) group tasks in water that develop communication skills, leadership, the ability to cooperate and distribute roles in a team, with these components being implemented in a single methodological system that ensures the synchronous physical, emotional and social development of the child in preschool and primary school education, as well as in sports and development centers.
