Hydrogen Generator Based on the Reaction of Sodium Hydrolysis

Abstract

A hydrogen generator based on the sodium hydrolysis reaction, characterized in that its housing contains solid or liquid sodium separated from the upper cover of the housing by a layer of mineral oil, the level of which is determined by a controlled valve with the formation of a hydrogen accumulation zone between the cover and the oil layer, a loading channel for solid sodium with its own cover, wherein the lower end of the channel is located below the layer of mineral oil, a controlled valve for the release of hydrogen from the zone of its accumulation, valves for loading liquid sodium into the housing and draining alkali from it, wherein water for the reaction with sodium is fed into the housing through its cover through feed tubes, each of which is equipped on the outside of the cover with regulating valves that form a drop structure of water, these tubes are also equipped in the hydrogen accumulation zone with shut-off valves, and at their lower ends in the sodium zone inverted glasses are attached for the reaction of each drop of water with sodium,above which, additional tubes are attached to the water supply tubes, which drain hydrogen into the accumulation zone.
