Claims

A method for the differential diagnosis of pulmonary embolism of COVID and non-COVID etiology, including the analysis of data taken from the medical records of patients with a confirmed diagnosis of pulmonary embolism, characterized in that, depending on the results of PCR tests for the Covid-19 virus, as well as the presence of signs of pneumonic infiltration, two groups of patients are distinguished, namely group N. R with established health status (R) and a group of N G patients with established health status (G), for each patient from the two specified groups, namely the group of N R patients with an established health status (R) corresponding to the established diagnosis of COVID-associated pulmonary embolism (PE), as well as a group of N G patients with an established health status (G), corresponding to the established diagnosis of pulmonary embolism of non-COVID etiology, according to the set An analysis of the entropy level in a set of biochemical and biophysical homeostasis parameters of a new corresponding patient is performed using medical data, identifying features that determine the probability of his / her belonging to the group of patients with health statuses (R) or (G) and related to the two specified diseases. These features are characteristic specifically of the pathologies in question and are also determined based on the proposed algorithm through a retrospective study of the two groups of previously examined patients diagnosed with the specified diseases. A similar technique can also be used for the differential diagnosis of diseases of other etiologies. In this case, a statistical functionality is compiled, which represents different methods for processing a set of medical data, which allows for flexible adaptation to various data analysis tasks.
