Claims

A method for preparing a highly active copper-zinc-aluminum catalyst for the low-temperature steam catalytic conversion of carbon monoxide, characterized in that during the catalyst preparation process, an ammonia-carbonate solution of zinc is continuously and uniformly dosed into the preparation reactor loaded with a mixture of an ammonia-carbonate solution of copper and active aluminum oxide, wherein at a temperature of 80-90°C, a stirrer rotation speed of 135-145 rpm, the rossite phase (CuZn)2(CO3)(OH)2, responsible for the increased catalytic activity, is purposefully synthesized, and the mother liquor formed during filtration of the catalyst suspension is further fortified with ammonium carbonate to a content of NH3120 g / l and CO280 g / l in the solution and is used to prepare an ammonia-carbonate solution of copper.
