Claims

1. A method for producing an amide compound from a nitrile compound in the presence of a biocatalyst having nitrile hydratase activity, the method comprising at least in the presence of air, where the liquid composition of the reaction solution is such that the concentration of the nitrile compound in the gas phase portion of the reactor containing the reaction solution is in the explosion range, carrying out the hydration reaction under conditions in which the oxygen concentration of the gas phase portion of the reactor is 10% by volume or less.

2. A method for producing an amide compound from a nitrile compound in the presence of a biocatalyst having nitrile hydratase activity, where the concentration of the nitrile compound in the reaction solution for obtaining the amide compound from the nitrile compound by the hydration reaction satisfies the following formula (1) Y≤50X-35 (% by weight) (1), where X represents the concentration (% by mass) of the nitrile compound relative to the total mass of the reaction solution, and Y represents the concentration (% by mass) of the amide compound relative to the total mass of the reaction solution.

3. A method for producing an amide compound according to claim 1 or 2, where the concentration of the nitrile compound in the reaction solution is (1) or (2) below: (1) the concentration of the nitrile compound relative to the total mass of the reaction solution is 1.7% by mass or more, or (2) the concentration of the nitrile compound relative to the total mass of the reaction solution is 0.7% by mass or more and less than 1.7% by mass, and Y≤50X-35 (% by mass) is satisfied, where X is the concentration of the nitrile compound and Y is the concentration (unit: % by mass) of the amide compound relative to the total mass of the reaction solution.

4. A method for producing an amide compound according to any one of claims 1 or 2, where, when the hydration reaction rate in the reaction solution A defined below is denoted by S1, and the hydration reaction rate in the reaction solution B defined below is denoted by S2, the biocatalyst used in the reaction is a biocatalyst for which the reaction rate ratio represented by S1 / S2 is 0.2 or more, where: reaction solution A is a reaction solution at 20°C containing 47% by mass of an amide compound, 2% by mass of a nitrile compound and water as the balance relative to the total mass of the reaction solution, and Reaction solution B is a reaction solution at 20°C containing 0% by mass of the amide compound, 2% by mass of the nitrile compound, and water as the balance, relative to the total mass of the reaction solution.

5. A method for producing an amide compound according to any one of claims 1 or 2, where the time required for the mass of the nitrile compound added to the reaction solution to be reduced to half by the hydration reaction is within 1.5 hours, or The time required to reduce the concentration of the nitrile compound contained in the reaction solution to half by the hydration reaction is within 1.5 hours.

6. A method for producing an amide compound according to any one of claims 1 or 2, wherein the nitrile compound is a compound containing a double bond and is stored in a storage vessel in which the oxygen concentration in the gas phase portion is 1-10% by volume in the presence of a quinone-based polymerization inhibitor.

7. A method for producing an amide compound according to any one of claims 1 or 2, where the nitrile compound is acrylonitrile or methacrylonitrile.

8. A method for producing an amide compound according to any one of claims 1 or 2, wherein the amide compound is acrylamide or methacrylamide.
