A SKIN IMPROVING COMPOSITION CONTAINING A PEPTIDE COMPLEX AS AN ACTIVE INGREDIENT

Claims

1. A composition for improving skin condition, comprising as an active ingredient a peptide complex comprising: (i) a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 1; and (ii) a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO.

The composition of claim 1, wherein the improvement in skin condition is at least one selected from the group consisting of alleviating skin inflammation, reducing skin aging, stimulating skin regeneration, improving skin elasticity, reducing skin wrinkles, improving skin barriers, and reducing skin damage.

The composition of claim 1, wherein the composition exhibits at least one activity selected from the following (a)-(e), (a) inhibition of the expression of TNF-α, IL-1β or IL-6 or inhibition of the expression of COX-2; (b) inhibition of the expression of cleaved PARP-1, cleaved caspase-3, cleaved caspase-9 or Bax or an increase in the expression of Bcl-2; (c) inhibition of MMP-1 or MMP-2 expression; (d) inhibition of receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE) expression; and (e) increased expression of glyoxalase-1.

4. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the composition is a cosmetic composition.

The composition of claim 4, wherein the cosmetic composition has any composition selected from the group consisting of a solution, a suspension, an emulsion, a paste, a gel, a cream, a lotion, a powder, a soap, a surfactant-containing cleanser, an oil, a base powder, a base emulsion, a base wax, and a spray.

A pharmaceutical composition for treating or preventing skin inflammation or a skin disease, comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a peptide complex comprising: (i) a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 1; and (ii) a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO.

The composition of claim 6, wherein the skin disease is selected from the group consisting of bacterial skin infections, skin wounds, diabetic skin wounds, diabetic dermatopathy, diabetic foot, hyperpigmentation disorders, photoinduced hyperpigmentation disorders, psoriasis and systemic lupus erythematosus.

8. A functional food composition for improving skin condition, comprising as an active ingredient a peptide complex comprising: (i) a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 1; and (ii) a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO.

The composition of claim 8, wherein the improvement in skin condition is at least one selected from the group consisting of alleviating skin inflammation, reducing skin aging, stimulating skin regeneration, improving skin elasticity, reducing skin wrinkles, improving skin barriers, and reducing skin damage.
