Claims

1. A product that increases plant resistance to abiotic stress, containing: a first component which is a compound represented by formula (I) below, or a tautomer thereof, or an agronomically acceptable salt thereof; and a second component which is at least one component selected from the group consisting of an amino acid, a peptide of 2 to 10 amino acids in length, betaine, an organic acid or its salt, a nucleotide base, a vitamin, and a sugar or sugar alcohol: Formula 1 , where in formula (I) each of R 1 and R 2 independently represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and each of R 3 , R 4 and R 5 independently represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms.

2. An agent that increases resistance to abiotic stress, according to claim 1, in which The compound represented by formula (I) is ergothioneine.

3. An agent that increases resistance to abiotic stress, according to claim 1 or 2, wherein The application of a resistance enhancing agent to a plant increases the resistance of the plant to an abiotic stress, which is at least one selected from the group consisting of high temperature stress, low temperature stress, frost stress, salt stress, nutrient overload stress, drought stress, water overload stress, ultraviolet radiation stress, low light stress, high light stress, over-mowing stress, trampling stress, hail stress, and strong wind stress.

4. An agent that increases resistance to abiotic stress, according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the use of a resistance enhancing agent increases the resistance of a plant to an abiotic stress, which is at least one selected from the group consisting of high temperature stress, ultraviolet radiation stress, and excess water stress.

5. An agent that increases resistance to abiotic stress, according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the second component includes an amino acid, and The amino acid is either glutamic acid or arginine.

6. A method for increasing plant resistance to abiotic stress, comprising: plant preparation; and treating the plant with an agent that increases resistance to abiotic stress, described in paragraph 1 or 2.

7. A composition for increasing plant resistance to abiotic stress, containing: a first component which is a compound represented by formula (I) below, or a tautomer thereof, or an agronomically acceptable salt thereof; a second component that is at least one component selected from the group consisting of an amino acid, a peptide of 2 to 10 amino acids in length, betaine, an organic acid or its salt, a nucleotide base, a vitamin, and a sugar or sugar alcohol; and liquid carrier or solid carrier: Formula 2 , where in formula (I) each of R 1 and R 2 independently represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and each of R 3 , R 4 and R 5 independently represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms.

8. A product for increasing plant resistance to abiotic stress, containing: a first container containing a first component which is a compound represented by formula (I) below, or a tautomer thereof, or an agronomically acceptable salt thereof; and a second container containing a second component, which is at least one component selected from the group consisting of an amino acid, a peptide of 2 to 10 amino acids in length, betaine, an organic acid or its salt, a nucleotide base, a vitamin, and a sugar or sugar alcohol: Formula 3 , where in formula (I) each of R 1 and R 2 independently represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and each of R 3 , R 4 and R 5 independently represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms.

9. A plant grown by applying an agent that increases resistance to abiotic stress according to paragraph 1 or 2.

10. An agent that increases resistance to abiotic stress, according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the second component is at least one component selected from the group consisting of methionine, histidine, proline, γ-aminobutyric acid, 5-aminolevulinic acid, glycine betaine, oxidized glutathione, uracil, carboxylic acids, water-soluble vitamins and disaccharides.

11. An agent that increases resistance to abiotic stress, according to claim 1 or 2, wherein abiotic stress is stress from excess water, the second component contains an amino acid, and the amino acid is at least one amino acid selected from arginine and glutamic acid.

12. An agent that increases resistance to abiotic stress, according to claim 5, wherein Abiotic stress is stress from exposure to high temperature.

13. An agent that increases resistance to abiotic stress, according to claim 5, wherein abiotic stress is stress from exposure to ultraviolet radiation and The amino acid is glutamine.

14. A method for increasing the resistance of a plant to abiotic stress according to claim 6, comprising creating abiotic stress.

15. A method for increasing the resistance of a plant to abiotic stress according to claim 14, wherein the treatment with an agent that increases resistance to abiotic stress is carried out before creating abiotic stress.
