Description

[0001] The utility model relates to the field of railway transport, in particular to the design of a cast side frame of a three-element bogie of freight cars.

[0002] A known side frame for a railway car bogie, adopted as a prototype, comprises an upper chord and a lower chord, interconnected by columns forming a spring opening with a support platform equipped with limiters for holding the lower ends of the springs of the spring suspension. To increase the strength of the side frame, the projections of the limiters are made with a thickness "E", maintained in the range of 8 mm to 12 mm. The walls may have grooves formed by a radius "R", maintained from 10 mm to 30 mm. (RU 211443 U1, published 06.06.2022).

[0003] The disadvantage of the side frame, which is taken as a prototype, is the insufficient strength of the product in the area of the supporting surface of the spring suspension, as well as the increased likelihood of casting defects in the limiters for holding the lower ends of the springs of the spring suspension.

[0004] The objective of the proposed technical solution is to increase the strength and fatigue resistance of the cast side frame in the area of the support surface of the spring suspension and to reduce the likelihood of casting defects in the spring limiters of the spring suspension.

[0005] The technical result is achieved by the side frame design, which is made in the form of a steel casting, comprising upper and lower chords connected by columns forming a spring opening with a support platform on which stops for the spring suspension springs are installed, made in the form of protrusions in the shape of a truncated cone. The height of the cone H ranges from 15 to 45 mm, the diameter of the upper base of the cone D1 ranges from 10 to 50 mm. The generatrix wall of the cone is located at an angle α to the supporting surface, where the angle α ranges from 30° to 75°. At an angle α less than 30°, the diameter of the lower base D2 of the truncated cone increases significantly, at which point the placement of the stops on the supporting surface will be difficult. At an angle α greater than 75°, stresses in the area where the stops join with the supporting surface increase sharply.

[0006] The spring limiter for the leaf spring suspension, viewed from above, is shaped like a cross. Its ends, on four mutually perpendicular sides, are provided with oblong projections that smoothly transition from the bearing surface of the leaf spring suspension into a truncated cone. The elongated projections' radial walls are aligned with radius R. These projections serve as additional limiters, allowing for the required range of spring movement tolerances within the leaf spring suspension. These projections also serve to reduce stress at the junctions of the truncated cone and the bearing surface of the leaf spring suspension at their terminations.

[0007] A through or blind hole with a diameter of D3 can be made in the center of the spring limiter of the spring kit, which serves to reduce the weight of the part.

[0008] The claimed technical solution is explained by drawings, which schematically show: Fig. 1 - the main view of the side frame; Fig. 2 - a view of the supporting surface of the spring opening; Fig. 3 - a top view of the spring limiters of the spring suspension; Fig. 4 - a section along line A-A, shown in Fig. 3.

[0009] As shown in Fig. 1, in the middle part of the claimed design there is an opening 1 for the central spring set, and at the ends there are openings 2 for the axle boxes of the wheel pairs. The opening 1 for the central spring set is formed by the upper belt 3 with consoles forming the external jaws 4, the lower belt 5 of closed section with a support platform 6 for the spring set and vertical walls 7 with a platform 8 for fastening the friction bar, connecting the upper 3 and lower belts 5, support surfaces 9 of the upper belt, as well as internal jaws 10, connecting with the inclined belts 11. On the support platform 6 of the lower belt 5 there are four spring limiters 12, made in the form of projections in the form of a truncated cone, on four mutually perpendicular sides of which elongated projections 13 are made, smoothly passing from the support surface 6 of the spring suspension into the truncated cone.

[0010] In the center of the spring limiter 12 of the spring set, a through or blind hole 14 can be made, which serves to lighten the weight of the part and reduce the thermal unit of the cast part.

[0011] The technical effect of the proposed solution is to increase the strength and fatigue resistance of the cast side frame, as well as the quality of its manufacture in the area of the support platform for the spring set, while the shape of the spring limiters allows you to set tolerances for the movement of the springs in the spring suspension in the required range.
