Description

[0001] This utility model relates to laboratory instruments used for conducting physical and chemical research for various scientific and other applied purposes, particularly in veterinary and sanitary inspections of raw materials and food products.

[0002] Known are crucible tongs, including jaws (IZ No. 308773), connected via a toothed engagement with a rod connected to a release spring and a lever, characterized in that, in order to improve the grip, the rod is equipped with a compressible spring and a support sleeve with a reversible bar interacting with an adjusting screw.

[0003] Laboratory crucible tongs for removing glassware from a water bath are known, consisting of jaws with curved ends that form a rounded gripping area for the glassware, and the jaws are equipped with handles and a hinge connecting them.

[0005] A disadvantage is the risk of thermal injury associated with using a water bath. Hot steam generated during work can cause scalding of the skin of the hands, and removing laboratory glassware without proper tools can cause burns of varying severity.

[0006] The technical result of the utility model is to ensure the possibility of removing laboratory glassware from a boiling water bath.

[0007] The technical result is achieved in that laboratory crucible tongs for removing glassware from a water bath consist of jaws with curved ends with silicone inserts, forming a rounded gripping zone for the glassware (e.g., a heat-resistant flask, Fig. 2). The jaws are equipped with handles and a hinge connecting them, and the curved ends of the jaws are angled at 45° relative to the horizontal plane. The angle of curvature of the clamp from the tongs lock to the working part is 45°.

[0008] The essence of the utility model is presented in the drawings, where Fig. 1 shows a general view of laboratory crucible tongs, and Fig. 2 shows a side view.

[0009] Laboratory crucible tongs for removing glassware from a water bath. They consist of jaws (1) with curved ends with silicone inserts (2) that form a rounded gripping area (3) for the glassware (e.g., a heat-resistant flask). The jaws are equipped with handles (4) and a hinge (5) connecting them. The curved ends of the jaws (1) are angled at 45° relative to the horizontal plane. The angle of curvature of the fastening from the clamp of the tongs to the working part is 45°.

[0010] Laboratory crucible tongs can be used in various types of laboratories (educational, biochemical, pharmaceutical, analytical) as follows: when removing heat-resistant flasks and racks with test tubes from a water bath, by immersing the working part of the tongs into the container of the device.

[0011] Laboratory crucible tongs are a specialized tool for holding and safely handling heated objects in a laboratory setting. They reduce the risk of injury when handling hot objects and improve ease of handling, ensuring the safety of the analyzed sample when placed in a water bath thanks to the 45° handle bend and silicone pads on the working part of the tongs. This configuration reduces the number of manipulations required when inserting and removing samples when working with heating equipment, which is unachievable with conventional crucible tongs.
