Abstract

This utility model relates to fasteners that enable the fastening of floor skirting boards without the use of hardware. The technical objective of the utility model, which coincides with the positive results of its application, is to improve the reliability of fastening the skirting board in the space between the floor covering and the wall of a room. The spring fastener consists of a pre-hardened spring steel plate designed to fit into the C-shaped groove of an L-shaped skirting board.The supporting part of the plate is a flat central section, adapted to slide in the aforementioned C-shaped groove, at the ends of which elastic elements are formed, symmetrically located relative to the center of the plate, each of which consists of a radius part and a T-shaped section, located at an angle to the supporting part of the plate, wherein the wide parts of the T-shaped sections are adapted to interact with the end of the floor covering, and the narrow parts of the T-shaped sections ensure that its wide parts are located outside the C-shaped groove. 5 clauses, 3 figs.

Description

[0001] The utility model relates to structural parts for the final finishing of buildings, namely to borders laid at the intersections of the floor or ceiling and the wall, namely to fasteners that ensure the possibility of fastening floor plinths without the use of hardware.

[0002] A clip for fastening skirting boards is known from the prior art (RU16750U1, IPC E04F 19 / 04, published 10.02.2001). The clip is made of sheet metal and has a vertical post with an L-shaped longitudinal section and a front projection in the form of an inverted letter T, which transitions into a fastening unit consisting of two plates located along the horizontal axis, having an arcuate protrusion on two lateral sides, on the outer side of which two claw-shaped spikes are formed, holding the skirting board.

[0003] The disadvantage of the clip is the low reliability of fastening the baseboard to it, due to the fact that the arched protrusions that form the tenon that holds the baseboard have low rigidity, in addition, the clip is difficult to manufacture.

[0004] The closest technical solution to the claimed utility model and selected as the prototype is a device for fastening skirting boards (RU2539063C2, IPC E04F 15 / 00, published on June 10, 2012). The device is an elastic fixing element bent in the form of an arch and has a flat lower arm for placement under the decking or floor panel and an upper arm, wherein the free end of the upper arm is designed to be connected by snapping with the arm of the base of the profile element of the skirting board.

[0005] The disadvantage of the known technical solution is the low manufacturability of the fixing element, associated with its complex cross-sectional profile, which requires the use of complex equipment for bending the fixing plate during its manufacture.

[0006] The technical problem that the claimed utility model is aimed at solving is to ensure reliable fixation of floor skirting boards with its help.

[0007] The said problem is solved in that a spring clamp for fastening a floor skirting board consists of a pre-hardened spring steel plate, adapted to be installed in a C-shaped groove of an L-shaped skirting board. The supporting portion of the plate is a flat central section, adapted to slide in said C-shaped groove, at the ends of which elastic elements are formed, symmetrically located relative to the center of the plate, each of which consists of a radius part and a T-shaped section located at an angle to the supporting portion of the plate, wherein the wide parts of the T-shaped sections are adapted to interact with the end of the floor covering, and the narrow parts of the T-shaped sections ensure that its wide parts are located outside the C-shaped groove.

[0008] The positive technical result achieved by the above-described set of device features is an increase in the reliability of the baseboard fastening in the space between the floor covering and the wall. This positive result is achieved through the following design features:

[0009] The fastener is made of pre-hardened spring steel plate, which increases its hardness, strength and wear resistance, which generally has a positive effect on the reliability of the baseboard fastening;

[0010] The design of the supporting part of the plate in the form of a flat central section ensures reliable installation of the retainer in the L-shaped groove of the baseboard without distortions;

[0011] The radius parts of the elastic elements provide the creation of a horizontal spacer force, pressing the baseboard against the wall, and the wide parts of the T-shaped sections provide the transfer of force to the radius sections by contacting the end of the floor covering.

The supporting part of the plate 1 is a flat central section 4, made with the possibility of sliding in the mentioned C-shaped groove 2, at the ends of which elastic elements are made symmetrically located relative to the center of the plate 1, each of which consists of a radius part 5 and a T-shaped section 6, located at an angle to the supporting part of the plate 1, wherein the wide 7 parts of the T-shaped sections 6 are made with the possibility of their interaction with the end of the floor covering 8, and the narrow 9 parts of the T-shaped sections 6 provide the possibility of their wide parts 7 being located outside the C-shaped groove 2.

[0022] The design of the fastener with the above geometric parameters ensures its compactness, provides reliable fixation of skirting boards of various configurations and can be used for floor coverings of any complexity.

[0023] The retainer is made of 65G spring steel, hardened at 840°C with cooling in molten nitrate salts and tempered at a temperature of 340 to 380°C, which provides a hardness of 35 to 40 HRC, followed by a 6 µm thick zinc coating with chromate passivation.

[0024] Heat treatment with the specified parameters and zinc coating ensure high corrosion resistance of the retainer and its reliability.

[0025] The spring clamp for fixing the floor skirting board is used as follows.

[0026] When installing the baseboard, maintain a gap of 5 to 12 mm between the end of the flooring and the wall, then cut the baseboard into pieces of the required size. Then, install clips into the L-shaped grooves in the baseboard pieces every 30 to 60 cm.

[0027] To secure the baseboard, perform the following steps for each fastener: using a corner piece, press the wide 7 parts of the T-shaped sections of the 6 elastic elements apart, pressing the baseboard against the wall. Then, apply light pressure from above, securing the baseboard between the wall and the floor covering. Repeat this process for each fastener.

[0028] Thus, the fastener considered in this application is a reliable fastening element that allows for the installation of skirting boards indoors without the use of glue or hardware, which ensures the ability to quickly dismantle the skirting boards without damaging the walls.

Claims

1. A spring clamp for fastening a floor skirting board, comprising a plate configured to be installed in a C-shaped groove of an L-shaped skirting board, characterized in that the plate is made of spring steel and is pre-hardened; the supporting part of the plate is a flat central section configured to slide in said C-shaped groove, at the ends of which elastic elements are formed symmetrically located relative to the center of the plate, each of which consists of a radius part and a T-shaped section located at an angle to the supporting part of the plate, wherein the wide parts of the T-shaped sections are configured to interact with the end of the floor covering, and the narrow parts of the T-shaped sections ensure that their wide parts are located outside the C-shaped groove.

2. The retainer according to item 1, characterized in that the thickness of the plate is 6 mm.

5. The retainer according to item 1, characterized in that the T-shaped sections of the elastic elements are located at an angle of 135° to the supporting part of the plate, the narrow parts of the T-shaped sections are 14 mm long, and the wide parts are 17 mm long.

6. The retainer according to paragraph 1, characterized in that it is made of spring steel grade 65G, hardened at a temperature of 840°C with cooling in a melt of nitrate salts and tempering at a temperature from 340 to 380°C.
