Abstract
Description
[0001] The utility model relates to temporary collapsible structures intended for use as temporary housing and for storing property.
[0002] The closest analogue of the proposed utility model is a hanging frame tent (RU patent for utility model RU 228558 U1, published on 09 / 03 / 2024, bulletin No. 25). The utility model discloses a hanging frame tent, designed to be secured to a vertical support, consisting of a rigid aluminum tubular teardrop-shaped frame, having at its base composite curved arches connected to each other at the vertices by quick-release compression units, transverse tubular rings attached to the arches by crimp connecting units, containing internal and external waterproof and windproof shells, equipped with an entrance hole, windows and ventilation holes, while the tent is equipped with a rigid floor, a compartment for storing equipment and a hatch for access to it.A drawback of this utility model is the tent's structural features, which prevent the main structure from withstanding lateral wind loads. To mitigate these, additional elements such as guy wires and pegs are required. Furthermore, when describing the method for attaching the main structure to the support, this utility model mentions "two universal joints," the nature of which is not disclosed in the patent.
[0003] The task that this utility model is aimed at solving is the creation of a collapsible suspended structure for comfortable temporary living and storage of property, devoid of the aforementioned drawback of the closest analogue.
[0004] The technical result of the proposed utility model is to increase the stability of the structure to lateral wind loads without the use of additional load-absorbing elements (stretchers with pegs).
[0005] The technical result is achieved due to the fact that the suspended collapsible structure for temporary residence and storage of property is a metal frame covered with a covering material that forms a room isolated from the external environment with openings for entry, exit and visibility, wherein the frame is designed with the possibility of fastening to a vertical support and consists of an upper fastening to the vertical support, a head, straight ribs, curved ribs, a ring, a ceiling, a lower fastening to the vertical support and a unit for fastening the curved ribs, wherein the upper fastening to the vertical support is provided with a rotating eye connected to the eye of the head to form a movable connection, the head is connected to the straight ribs, the straight ribs are connected to each other by a ring and connected to the curved ribs, the ceiling is connected to the curved ribs, the curved ribs in the lower part are connected to the unit for fastening the curved ribs, and the lower fastening to the vertical support is made in the form of two metal products, each of which is equipped with a turnbuckle, one end connected to the fixed eye of the corresponding product, and the other end to one of the curved ribs, while the upper fastening and the two metal products of the lower fastening form three points of contact of the frame with the vertical support.
[0006] All of the above elements are connected to each other through assembly operations, providing the proposed utility model with structural and functional unity. The covering material, located on a metal frame, contains openings to provide visibility from within the structure and access to its interior.
[0007] The upper vertical support mount is a metal structure consisting of three axles; rectangular plates connecting the two axles; triangular plates connecting the axles and the rectangular plates simultaneously, creating a gusset joint; and a pivot eye. The outer axles are not connected to each other by rectangular plates. The pivot eye is connected at the top of the mount to the middle axle. The upper vertical support mount serves as a load-bearing element and is one of the three points of contact between the entire frame and the vertical support.
[0008] The cap is a metal component consisting of a central circular section; identical radial ribs extending from it; and an eye. The eye is connected to the central circular section and two ribs. The opening in the cap's eye is designed to connect with the opening in the rotating eye of the upper mount to the vertical support, creating a movable connection between them, allowing the cap to deflect relative to the upper mount. The ribs are designed to connect with straight ribs.
[0009] Straight ribs are metal components designed to connect the head to the curved ribs. Straight ribs, together with the ring, provide additional reinforcement to the entire frame.
[0010] Curved ribs are elongated, curved metal components designed to create a pear-shaped main frame. The curved ribs are connected to the straight ribs at the top, connected to the curved rib fastening unit at the bottom, and connected to the lower vertical support mount in the middle. In the inner part of the frame, the curved ribs are connected to the floor. If we draw an imaginary vertical axis along the entire frame, passing through the center of the cap and the center of the curved rib fastening unit, we see that the floor is secured to the curved ribs in such a way that the floor plane is not perpendicular to this axis, but is aligned horizontally when the structure is in use.
[0011] The ceiling consists of two identical parts, each of which is a semicircular frame, and two semicircular elements made of sheet material, fixed on semicircular frames and forming the floor of the structure.
[0012] The lower vertical support mount consists of two metal components, each consisting of two parts. The first component is similar in design to the upper vertical support mount, except that it does not have a rotating eye connected to the top of the center axle. Instead, it has a fixed eye connected to the center axle at its center. The second component of the lower vertical support mount is a turnbuckle, connected at one end to the fixed eye of the first component and at the other end to one of the curved ribs. Thus, the two metal components are attached to the two curved ribs of the main frame and serve as the second and third points of contact between the frame and the vertical support.
[0013] The curved rib fastening unit is a metal component consisting of a central circular section and short, identical ribs extending from it, arranged radially. The short ribs of the unit are designed to connect to the lower portions of the curved ribs.
[0014] All the above elements together form the frame of the structure, fixed to the vertical support at three points of contact.
[0015] The specified technical result - increasing the stability of a structure to lateral wind loads without the use of additional load-absorbing elements (stretchers with pegs) - is ensured by a set of essential features of the utility model as follows.
[0016] The lower attachment to the vertical support is made up of two metal components, the turnbuckles of which are connected to the curved ribs of the frame. This ensures that the lower, widest, and most exposed portion of the frame is rigidly attached directly to the vertical support. Lateral loads arising from wind are supported by the curved ribs and transmitted through the turnbuckles and the first sections of the lower attachments to the vertical support. This eliminates the need to absorb these loads with additional elements, such as guy wires and pegs anchored in the ground. The turnbuckles also provide adjustable tension, allowing for play to be eliminated during installation and pre-tensioning, preventing the frame from swaying or shifting relative to the support under alternating wind loads.
[0017] The presence of three points of contact with the vertical support, spaced apart along the height of the frame and along the perimeter of the support (upper fastening and two metal products of the lower fastening), forms a spatial system of fastening the frame, ensuring the perception of overturning and torsional moments arising from the action of lateral wind loads on the structure.
[0018] The movable connection of the rotating eye of the upper fastening with the eye of the head allows for limited deviation of the head relative to the upper fastening, which compensates for the vibrations of the vertical support (for example, a tree trunk) under wind influence and eliminates the transfer of bending moments from the support to the frame and from the frame to the upper fastening unit, reducing the load on the structural elements.
[0019] Connecting straight ribs together with a ring increases the spatial rigidity of the upper part of the frame and its resistance to deformations that occur under the action of lateral wind loads.
[0020] The covering material is a sheet of synthetic, natural or mixed fabric, shaped in such a way that when covered with a structure's frame, it creates a room isolated from the external environment, while providing the ability to enter, exit and view through the appropriate openings.
[0021] For the purpose of illustrating a specific example of the implementation of the utility model, Figs. 1-7 are shown.
[0022] Fig. 1 shows a general view of the assembled frame. Position 1 in the figure indicates the upper fastening to the vertical support, 2 - the head, 3 - the straight rib, 4 - the ring, 5 - the curved rib, 6 - the overlap, 7 - the fastening unit for the curved ribs, 8 - the lower fastening to the vertical support. The turnbuckles of the lower fastening to the vertical support are shown conditionally not connected to the main frame.
[0023] Fig. 2 shows a cross-section of the middle portion of the upper mount to the vertical support (view from above). The figure clearly shows the triangular plate that creates the gusset connection between the axles and the rectangular plates.
[0024] Fig. 3 and 4 show the side and bottom views of the head, respectively.
[0025] Fig. 5 shows a top view of a semicircular frame - part of the ceiling.
[0026] Fig. 6 shows a general view of the curved rib fastening unit.
[0027] Fig. 7 shows a front view of the structure.
[0028] An example of a specific implementation is a suspended structure consisting of a steel frame mounted on a tree trunk, covered with an Oxford-type synthetic fabric. It has one closable opening for entry and exit and one rectangular opening covered with a transparent TPU film for viewing. The frame is secured to the tree at the top by an upper mount to a vertical support. The lower mount is secured to the tree trunk by a lower mount to a vertical support. The mounts themselves are secured to the tree trunk using cleats with ratchet locks.
[0029] The frame height is 4.3 m, the radius at the widest part excluding fastening points is 2.5 m. All frame ribs are made of steel pipe Du 25. The distance from the lowest point of the structure to the ground is 1 m.
[0030] Flat metal structural elements (plates, lugs, etc.) are made of grade 09G2S sheet steel.
[0031] The floor frame is made of two semicircular pieces welded together. The semicircular pieces are made of steel profile tubing. 15 mm FSF plywood is installed on the frame as the floor covering.
[0032] When using the described structure for its intended purpose, lateral wind loads acting on the frame covered with covering material are transmitted through curved ribs, turnbuckles and fastenings directly to the tree trunk, due to which the structure remains stable without the installation of guy wires and pegs.
