Description
[0001] The utility model relates to mechanical engineering, namely to devices for increasing the survivability and controllability of floating armored vehicles when overcoming water obstacles in combat conditions.
[0002] Of the studied analogs, a device for compensating for the drift of a floating machine by the water current was adopted as a prototype (Patent for invention RU No. 225951 U1 IPC B60F 3 / 00, B63N 25 / 00, B63N 5 / 14 published on 05 / 14 / 2024), containing a tunnel installed in the bow below the waterline with impellers driven by an electric motor through an angular gearbox.
[0003] The disadvantage of the device for compensating for the drift of a floating vehicle by the water current is its limited functionality, since it is intended only for maneuvering and does not allow for pumping out water entering the vehicle’s hull through combat damage.
[0004] The technical result of the claimed proposal is to increase the survivability of an amphibious armored vehicle by using a multifunctional device that not only improves controllability, but also allows for the rapid pumping out of water that has entered the vehicle's hull through combat damage, since standard water pumping devices are not designed for this and are not effective.
[0005] The technical result is achieved by the fact that the device for emergency drainage and stabilization of the current of an amphibious armored vehicle, consisting of a tunnel rigidly attached to the hull of the amphibious vehicle in the bow section below the waterline, in which two impellers with oppositely directed blades are mounted on a shaft through an angular gearbox, an electric motor connected to the angular gearbox, a damper mounted in the tunnel, secured by a keyed connection on a shaft, which is mounted in two bearing bushings pressed into the tunnel casing, a branch pipe is welded to the tunnel in the area of the damper, and a damper drive is also connected to the damper shaft by means of gears. The damper has two positions: to ensure the flow of water through the tunnel (stabilization mode) and to redirect the flow of water from the branch pipe through the tunnel to the outside (drainage mode).
[0006] The proposal is illustrated by a drawing, where Fig. 1 depicts a schematic diagram of the emergency drainage and current stabilization device for an amphibious armored vehicle. Fig. 2 shows a view of the bow and side of the BTR-80 with the device installed.
[0007] The proposed diagram of the device for emergency drainage and stabilization of the current of a floating armored vehicle contains: an electric motor 1, an angular gearbox 2, two impellers 3, a tunnel 4, two grates 5, a damper 6, a branch pipe 7, a damper drive 8, a damper shaft 9.
[0008] The proposed device for emergency drainage and stabilization of a floating armored vehicle in the current operates as follows.
[0009] The device is located in the bow of the BTR-80 below the waterline. If the vehicle enters water and drifts, the driver activates the device in maneuvering mode (Fig. 1, position A). If water enters the hull through a breach, the crew switches the device to drainage mode (Fig. 1, position B). The impellers begin pumping water out of the hull, discharging it overboard through a tunnel.
[0010] Thus, this technical solution will improve the survivability and controllability of floating armored vehicles when crossing water obstacles.
