Abstract
Description
[0001] FIELD OF TECHNOLOGY TO WHICH THE UTILITY MODEL BELONGS
[0002] This utility model relates to cable connections, specifically to television receivers connected via an HDMI cable.
[0003] STATE OF THE ART
[0004] The most relevant application area for the disclosed technical solution is compact television receivers that require connection to an external device via an HDMI cable (https: / / www.sven.fi / upload / iblock_ext / support / cables_and_wiring_accessories / HDMI-Mini_HDMI_manual_en.pdf, published in 2014). An example of such a television receiver is the HDMI TV-Dongle (compact TV set-top box). To ensure compactness, a Mini-HDMI connector is often used, the disadvantage of which is the low reliability of the connection: mechanical stress on the cable often causes the electrical contacts to break.
[0005] To address this issue and ensure a more reliable connection, some manufacturers solder the HDMI cable to the main board during receiver assembly (https: / / www.seirobotics.net / 4k-hdr-android-tv-dongle-p00080p1.html, accessed July 18, 2025, photo in Fig. 1). This method can provide a compact and reliable connection between the cable and the receiver; however, assembling such a connection is time-consuming and requires specialized equipment / tools.
[0006] DISCLOSURE OF UTILITY MODEL
[0007] The task facing the developers of the disclosed technical solution was to create a compact television receiver with an HDMI cable that, on the one hand, would ensure a reliable connection of the cable to the main board of the receiver, and on the other hand, would be easier to assemble during production.
[0008] The stated problem was solved by creating a receiver that includes a main board containing an HDMI interface with a physical Mini-HDMI connector; an HDMI cable that contains at one of its ends a mating Mini-HDMI connector provided with at least one cable fixation element; a receiver housing that is designed to accommodate the main board and is formed by at least two parts of the receiver housing that are connected to each other. In this case, the receiver housing comprises elements for positioning the main board, determining the position of the board relative to at least one of the parts of the receiver housing; the receiver housing comprises at least one element for fixing the receiver housing, configured to engage with the cable fixing element in the assembled state of the receiver; wherein the element for fixing the receiver housing and the element for fixing the cable, being in engagement, are configured to prevent the removal of the cable connector from the connector of the board; wherein at least one part of the receiver housing comprises elements for positioning the board with the connector of the cable connected to it, configured to position the board with the connector of the cable connected to it when they are installed in this part of the receiver housing.
[0009] The technical result achieved by the disclosed technical solution consists in simplifying the assembly of a television receiver while ensuring the reliability of the connection of the HDMI cable to the main board.
[0010] Assembly is simplified by the fact that soldering is not required. The housing shape ensures precise positioning, eliminating the need for special tools or fixtures. At the same time, precise and reliable positioning of the receiver components relative to each other is ensured, improving the reliability of the HDMI cable connection to the board.
[0011] Hereinafter, in the present description, the disclosed technical solution will be described in more detail with reference to specific embodiments and the accompanying drawing figures.

The cable retention element may be any element capable of engaging with elements of the housing 7 and, when the receiver 1 is assembled, preventing Mini-HDMI cable connector 5 from disengaging from Mini-HDMI connector 3 on the board.
[0023] The receiver 1 in accordance with the disclosed technical solution also includes a housing 7 of the receiver 1, configured to accommodate the main board 2. In this case, the housing is formed by at least two parts of the housing 7 of the receiver 1, connected to each other, which can be conditionally designated as the first part 8 of the housing 7 of the receiver 1 and the second part 9 of the housing 7 of the receiver 1.
[0024] In accordance with the disclosed technical solution, the receiver housing 7 comprises positioning elements 10 for the main board 2, which determine the position of the board relative to at least one of the parts of the housing 7 of the receiver 1. The positioning elements 10 may be shelves and / or jumpers formed inside the housing, including those formed on the stiffening ribs of the receiver housing 7. The determination of the position of the board by the positioning elements 10 of the main board 2 occurs due to the fact that the positioning elements 10 form a niche or a seat for the main board 2. The positioning elements 10 may be implemented in the form of jumpers or stiffening ribs of the parts of the housing, which, by their shape in the assembled state of the receiver, prevent the movement of the main board 2 and the housing 11 of the connector 5 of the Mini-HDMI cable 4 inside the housing 7 of the receiver 1 and relative to each other. Thus, the mentioned jumpers or stiffening ribs may contain recesses and protrusions, the shape and location of which correspond to the shape and required location of the main board 2.
