Abstract

This utility model relates to missile and artillery armament, specifically to devices for extracting artillery rounds with a single-piece charge from the barrel of the 100mm 2A70 gun, which is part of the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle and BMD-4 airborne combat vehicle. A tubular housing with a captive shell key and threads for screwing into the cartridge case bore houses a nut rigidly fixed to the housing with pins. A threaded stud with a cylindrical head and an internal hexagon screw mechanism screwed in along the nut's axis allows for axial movement. A stop is installed perpendicular to the discharger axis in a through-hole in the housing. The stop contains grooves, projections, and eyes. When the threaded pin of the screw mechanism rotates, the end of the pin interacts with the groove of the stop, the stop, with its projections interacting with the breech of the gun, moves the body of the discharger, and the unitary shot is pressed out of the bore of the gun.The technical result of the utility model consists in reducing the time and decreasing the labor intensity of the work performed to restore the weapon of a combat vehicle, which has worn extractors or weakened extractor springs, to a working condition, by extracting a shot having a faulty primer bushing from the barrel bore by pressing it out from the breech of the weapon or by replacing the faulty primer bushing without extracting the shot from the barrel bore and unloading the weapon with a shot.

Description

[0001] The utility model relates to missile and artillery weapons, in particular to devices for extracting a unitary loading artillery round from the barrel of a 100-mm 2A70 gun, which is part of the weapons system of the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle and the BMD-4 airborne combat vehicle, and can be included in a single set of spare parts, tools and accessories for the 2A70 gun.

[0002] In the event of a misfire due to a faulty primer bushing, single-shot rounds are extracted from the gun's bore by extractors when the breech is opened with the handle. However, if the gun's extractor hooks are worn, the extractor springs are weakened, or the chamber is heavily contaminated, the round can be extracted either from the vehicle's fighting compartment from the gun's breech using a screwdriver and hammer, or from the muzzle using a pipe of a suitable diameter. However, in combat conditions, it is unsafe for the combat vehicle crew to extract the round from the gun's muzzle while on the vehicle's hull. To extract a faulty round from the fighting compartment or from the gun's breech using a screwdriver and hammer, the combat vehicle must first be withdrawn to the rear area. Withdrawal of the weapon from combat may result in the failure of the combat mission.

[0010] The stated problem is solved due to the fact that a shot with a faulty primer bushing is extracted from the barrel bore of a gun with worn extractors or weakened extractor springs, with the help of a discharger from the side of the fighting compartment of the vehicle by pressing it out without impact, by the efforts of the gunner-operator, or by replacing the faulty primer bushing with a serviceable one without extracting the shot from the barrel bore and unloading the gun with a shot.

[0012] reducing the time it takes to bring a combat vehicle's gun into working order by replacing a faulty primer bushing with a serviceable one or extracting a shot from the barrel by pressing it out of the breech of the gun;

[0015] The discharger comprises a tubular body (1) with a cap key (2), a thread for screwing into the cartridge case (3), a screw mechanism (4) located in the body, and a stop (5). The cap key and the thread for screwing into the cartridge case are removable and are attached to the body of the device using a cylindrical pin (6) installed in through holes.

[0016] The body of the device (Fig. 2) has through holes: for the stop (7); for handy objects used when unscrewing the capsule sleeve as a lever - a screwdriver, crowbar, etc. (8); for access to the head of the screw mechanism (9).

[0017] The screw mechanism (Fig. 3) contains a nut without edges (10), rigidly connected to the arrester body with pins, a threaded stud (11) with a cylindrical head (12) and an internal hexagon is screwed along the axis of the nut.

[0018] The stop (Fig. 4) installed in the housing with the possibility of longitudinal movement in the discharger housing has grooves (13) for interaction with the threaded stud of the screw mechanism, projections (14) for interaction with the breech of the gun, eyes (15) for threading a rope or cable, for the purpose of suspending the discharger in the fighting compartment of the vehicle for quick and unimpeded access to the discharger of the gunner-operator. The grooves are made of different depths to increase (decrease) the stroke length of the stud of the screw mechanism and have a diameter equal to the diameter of the threaded stud.

[0019] The stop projections are made of different heights to create a gap between the plane of the stop and the rear wall of the gun breech when the discharger is installed, for the purpose of installing a mounting blade in the gap and using it as a lever to exert additional force when extracting the shot.

[0020] The arrester is used as follows.

[0021] Open the gun breech. Insert a screwdriver into the through-hole in the discharger housing (8). Use the cap wrench located on the end of the discharger to unscrew the faulty cap, using the screwdriver as a lever.

[0022] Screw the spark gap into the cartridge case's cap bushing using the thread located on the opposite end of the housing. Install the stop into the through hole of the spark gap housing (7). Press the stop's projections toward the gun's breech, manually rotating the head of the screw mechanism (13) through the holes in the spark gap housing (9) until the threaded stud enters the stop's small groove. Insert the Allen key from the gun's single spare parts kit into the hole in the head of the threaded stud.

[0023] Screw in the threaded stud of the screw mechanism with a hex key, the end of the stud interacts with the groove of the stop, the stop with its projections interacts with the breech of the gun, moves the discharger body in the direction opposite to the movement of the stud of the screw mechanism, and the unitary shot is pressed out of the barrel of the gun.

[0024] If, when inserting a threaded stud into a shallow groove of the stop, the round cannot be easily extracted at the end of the stud thread, unscrew the threaded stud, release the stop, position the stop so that when the threaded stud rotates, its end engages the deep groove of the stop, increasing the thread travel of the screw mechanism, and screw in the threaded stud. If the round still cannot be extracted freely, insert a mounting blade into the gap between the surface of the stop and the rear wall of the breech and extract the round.

[0025] The spent cartridge case is removed from the barrel bore in a similar manner if it is not ejected due to swelling or severe contamination of the gun’s loading chamber.

[0026] To reduce the time it takes to bring the gun to combat readiness, the defective primer bushing of a faulty round that cannot be removed from the barrel is replaced with a serviceable one using a discharger primer bushing key. To do this, unscrew the primer bushing from the round in the combat vehicle's loading mechanism conveyor, open the gun's breech, unscrew the faulty primer bushing without removing the round from the barrel, screw in a serviceable primer bushing, close the breech, and fire. The primer bushing can be replaced while the combat vehicle is moving from one firing position to another.

[0028] Thus, the discharger for extracting a shot of unitary loading from the barrel of the 2A70 gun allows:

[0030] 2. Reduce the time it takes to bring a combat vehicle into operational condition, which is especially important in combat conditions.

[0032] A discharger for extracting a unitary loading shot from the barrel of the 2A70 gun is used in the existing BMP-3 model.
