Abstract

The utility model relates to closures for tubes, vials, and other containers, in particular for storing and dispensing contact adhesives, sealants, eye drops, and other substances sensitive to moisture, air, and evaporation. The technical result consists of ensuring a hermetic seal for the tube, easy screwing and unscrewing of the cap, and preventing the drying of residual substance in the opening. This technical result is achieved in that, in the hermetic sealing unit of the tube, comprising a spout with a dispensing opening and a cap with a thread for screwing onto said spout, according to the claimed technical solution, a metal needle, sharpened in the shape of a cone, is fixed in the cap, and a mating conical recess is formed in the spout of the tube for interaction with said needle. 2 c.p. cl., 1 fig.

Description

[0001] The utility model relates to closures for tubes, bottles and other containers, in particular for storing and dispensing contact adhesives, sealants, eye drops and other substances sensitive to moisture, air and evaporation.

[0002] Various designs of tube caps with sealing elements are known from the prior art.

[0003] A container for dispensing a flowable material (EU patent EP1262416) is known. It comprises a spout with a dispensing opening and a screw-on cap. The container is intended for adhesives and other viscous substances. The design provides a threaded connection between the cap and the spout. However, the dispensing opening in this known solution is sealed primarily by the end or cylindrical surfaces of the plastic components. This does not ensure a sufficient seal during long-term storage and repeated use, as the plastic is prone to deformation, and residue on the spout and opening can lead to a poor seal.

[0004] A spout and cap assembly for tubes, containers, and packaging is known (Russian patent RU2519901). The spout has matching recesses that align with the concave surfaces of the cap. The spout and cap assembly is suitable as a closure for containers containing a hardening product, such as glue.

[0005] The closest analogue (prototype) is a cap with a needle pin for adhesive (Japanese application JP2000007003), in which a metal pin is integrated into the cap for sealing the outlet.

[0006] Disadvantages include insufficient sealing due to deformation of the plastic or linear contact of the cylindrical pin, accumulation of dried residues of the substance in the hole without a self-cleaning effect, limited dosing accuracy due to the inability to make a sufficiently thin hole, and increased force when screwing and unscrewing the cap.

[0007] The objective of the claimed utility model is to eliminate the shortcomings of known technical solutions.

[0008] The technical result is to ensure a hermetic seal of the tube, ease of screwing and unscrewing the cap, and prevent the drying of residual substance in the hole.

[0009] The technical result is achieved by the fact that in the hermetic sealing unit of the tube, containing a spout with a dosing hole and a cap with a thread for screwing onto said spout, according to the claimed technical solution, a metal needle, sharpened in the shape of a cone, is fixed in the cap, and in the spout of the tube a mating conical recess is made for interaction with said needle.

[0010] In this particular version, the needle is made of a metal that is harder than the cap material. The conical shape of the needle and its recess ensures a smooth fit when screwing the cap in and out. The tip and cap are made of plastic.

[0011] The claimed utility model is illustrated by the drawing: Fig. 1 - general view in section.

[0012] The unit consists of: 1 - spout, 2 - cap, 3 - needle, 4 - recess.

[0013] The hermetic sealing unit for a tube comprises a spout 1 with a dosing hole made therein and an internal conical recess 4; a cap 2 with a threaded connection for screwing onto the spout 1; a metal needle 3 fixed in the cap, pointed in the shape of a cone, with the ability to enter the conical recess of the spout when screwing on the cap 2.

[0014] The cone of the needle 3 and the conical recess of the nozzle 4 are designed to be matched in shape. This conical connection ensures both a seal and the release of residual substance from the dispensing opening.

[0015] The node works as follows.

[0016] Cap 2, typically made of plastic, screws onto spout 1 of the tube (usually also plastic). A metal needle 3, firmly secured in the cap (e.g., soldered or pressed in), engages with its conical tip in a mating conical recess 4 of spout 1. The precise conical fit and smooth metal surface of the needle ensure a tight seal of the dispensing opening. When the cap is unscrewed, the needle easily exits the recess, clearing the opening of any remaining substance, which is prevented from drying by the hermetic connection between the needle and recess.

[0017] The design is industrially applicable, can be made of known materials (plastic for the cap body and spout, stainless steel or other metal for the needle) using standard injection molding equipment and subsequent assembly.

[0018] The metal needle is stronger, thinner and longer than the plastic one, which ensures easy sliding when unscrewing / screwing, smaller hole diameter for better sealing.

[0019] Three important parameters are provided.

[0020] - thinner hole for better sealing due to the metal needle in the lid;

[0021] - tighter fit due to conical connection;

[0022] - easier and more reliable screwing / unscrewing due to the smooth and thin sealing needle and the release of the dosing hole when screwing.

Claims

1. A hermetic sealing unit for a tube, comprising a spout with a dosing opening and a cap with a thread for screwing onto said spout, characterized in that a metal needle, pointed in the shape of a cone, is fixed in the cap, and a mating conical recess is made in the spout for interaction with said needle.

2. The unit according to paragraph 1, characterized in that the needle is made of a metal that is harder than the material of the cap.

3. The unit according to paragraph 1, characterized in that the spout and cap are made of plastic.
