Description

[0001] The utility model relates to light industry, special clothing for the disabled and can be used for women after mastectomy using breast prostheses to correct the deficiencies of acquired atypical morphology.

[0002] Modern silicone breast implants accurately simulate the shape and size of breast tissue. They are placed in the inner pockets of orthopedic bra cups. To prevent the implant from shifting, orthopedic bras are made with elastic synthetic materials, ensuring a snug fit. Furthermore, the placement of the implant in the inner pocket of the bra cup creates a barrier to air exchange between the body and the environment. The area under the implant, especially in hot summer weather, can become irritated and moisture accumulates on the skin, reducing hygienic comfort and causing psychological and physical stress.

[0003] Medical bandage products for exoprosthetics in women after mastectomy [1], [2] are known. Their design includes a bra, cups made from stitched parts on a cotton lining, a wide belt, a back fastening with hooks and loops, and a cotton flap stitched to the inside of the cup. The primary purpose of these medical bandage products is to secure the woman's breast prosthesis. A disadvantage is the high risk of poor ventilation of the undergarment space in the area where the silicone prosthesis is placed due to the tight fit of the product to the body.

[0004] A corrective orthopedic bra is known [3], made in the form of a frameless multilayer bra that anthropometrically corresponds to the three-dimensional configuration of the mammary glands, structurally consisting of one upper, two lower and one side cup parts, cut-off sides, a belt, straps adjustable in length, with elastic bands along the upper and lower edges, with a front fastening with hooks and multi-row loops for adjusting the degree of compression of the product, with symmetrical convex set-in pockets located on the inside of the cups for fixing breast prostheses, with a removable three-layer cover attached between the layers of materials of the pockets of each bra cup by means of hooks and loops with pockets for the prosthesis, side and upper shape-setting two-layer pads with holes for adjusting the volume of the filler, and a two-layer weighting agent with silicone filler,Moreover, each pocket of the cover is double-layered on the outside with entry holes. A disadvantage is poor ventilation of the undergarment space in the area where silicone prostheses, additional corrective inserts, and weights are placed.

[0005] The closest analogue is a medical bandage product for exoprosthetics of women after mastectomy [4], made in the form of a close-fitting bra, anthropometrically corresponding to the three-dimensional configuration of the mammary glands and adjacent areas of the woman's body, with one central, one upper, two lower and one side cup parts, with set-in pockets that fix the exoprostheses on the inside, on the waistband, with a cut-off side, with length-adjustable straps, the product is frameless, multi-layered, made of elastic materials with a compression effect, with an elastic finishing tape along the upper and lower edges, with a fastener at the back. The disadvantage is the presence of low air permeability in the area where silicone exoprostheses are placed due to the tight fit of the product to the body.

[0006] The technical task and technical result of the claimed utility model is to improve the hygienic properties in the undergarment space of an orthopedic bra by forming a ribbed inner surface of the valves that cover the recesses of the front sections of the belt of the product, a network of channels for air ducts that ventilate the lateral area of the body next to the silicone exoprostheses.

[0007] The stated objective and technical result are achieved by the fact that the bra is made in the form of a frameless, multilayered, anthropometrically corresponding bra, which structurally consists of cup parts, convex inset pockets for breast prostheses located on the inside of the cups, a central part, cut-off sides, straps, and a belt with hook-and-eye fasteners and multi-row loops for adjusting the degree of compression of the product, wherein the belt in the front sections contains recesses, over which air exchange valves with a ribbed structure along the inner surface are symmetrically located, forming rows of channels for forming an air gap.

[0008] Fig. 1 shows a view of the bra: a - from the front side, b - from the back side.

[0009] Fig. 2 shows views of bra fragments: a - section with air exchange valve and belt recess, b - view of the inner surface of the air exchange valve, c - view of the ribbed surface of the air exchange valve formed by seams, d - processing of the edge of the belt recess with an edging seam.

[0010] Fig. 3 shows the views of the bra fragments: a - air exchange valve, view from the front side of the product, b - preparation of the belt and air exchange valve for connection, c - processing of the connection unit with the barrel of the air exchange valve and the belt.

[0011] The bra (Fig. 1 a) is made in the form of a frameless, multi-layered, orthopedic bra that anthropometrically corresponds to the three-dimensional configuration of the mammary glands.

[0012] The product structurally consists of cup parts: one upper (1), two lower (2, 3), a central part (7), cut-off sides (4), a belt (5), and adjustable straps (6). Fasteners of various shapes and sizes (8) can be used as an adjustment device.

[0013] The number of divisions and the shape of the cup parts can be changed to suit the aesthetics of the model.

[0014] Bra (Fig. 1 a, b) with hook-and-eye fastening (9) and multi-row loops (10). The arrangement of the loops in two or three rows allows you to adjust the desired degree of compression. Depending on the model, the fastening can be located in the front or back of the bra. When the fastening is located in the back, the bra band will consist of left and right sections.

[0015] On the inside of the bra cups (Fig. 1b), there are convex inset pockets for securing breast implants. To create the convexity of the pockets, their shape is determined by cuts (13) of a convex-concave shape, connecting the upper (11) and lower (12) parts.

[0016] The pocket entrance (14) is located on the side, the rounded entrance line (Fig. 16) is convenient for placing an exoprosthesis of any shape inside the pocket.

[0017] To increase the tightness of the bra’s edges against the body, you can use elastic bands sewn along the top (15), side (16) and bottom (17) edges of the product (Fig. 1a).

[0018] To improve the hygienic properties of the product in the area where the exoprostheses are placed, the bra is equipped with symmetrically located air exchange valves (18) (Fig. 1 a), sewn into the seams of the front sections of the waistband and sides (Fig. 3). The inner surface of the material of the air exchange valves has a ribbed structure (Fig. 2). The ribs can be formed by the texture of the material (the structure of the thread weave) (19 a) (Fig. 2 b). Or, when using a material with a smooth surface, the ribs (19 6) can be formed by stitches (20) (Fig. 2 c).

[0019] The air exchange valve (18) is located on the side section of the bra. Due to the ribbed structure of its inner surface (196), an air gap is formed under the air exchange valve (18), ventilating the undergarment space next to the exoprosthesis. In addition, moist air is removed to the outside through the channels formed by the ribs - the air flow from the undergarment space is directed through the recess (21) of the front section of the band (5) of the bra (Fig. 2a, Fig. 3b), then moves outward through the channels between the ribs (19) of the inner surface of the valves.

[0020] A multilayered material package is used to create a bra, ensuring shape retention and the necessary tightness of the garment against the body. The bra package consists of the main, lining, trim, and interlining materials.

[0021] Elastic underwear knitwear is used as the main and lining materials. The raw material composition of the knitwear is either blended or synthetic. Due to the special structure and properties of the yarns, elastic underwear fabrics provide the necessary tightness to the body and maintain their spatial shape for a long time.

[0022] Cotton jersey is used as a lining material for the bra cups and for the pocket under the exoprosthesis.

[0023] The air exchange valve material may be made of materials with a ribbed structure, or multilayer composite material packages (laminates), including a layer with rows of channels of a given thickness to form an air gap in the undergarment space and remove vapors through openings, as in [5, 6], or multilayer textile material packages, including a spacer element in the form of a wavy frame, for example, in the form of a braided polyester cord or with a monofilament, which is fastened with a thread connection to the main layer, as in [7].

[0024] The air exchange valve material can also be made of smooth-surfaced materials with ribs formed by machine stitching, where the rows of ribs act as channels for removing excess moist air from the undergarment space.

[0025] Adhesive sheets can be used as interlining materials.

[0026] To enhance the decorative value of the product, finishing materials can be included in the confectionery package, for example, for making cup parts or finishing along the outer edge.

[0027] The sides, top and bottom edges of the bra can be finished with stitched elastic bands, ensuring that the product fits tightly to the body.

[0028] Elastic bands are also applicable for straps (or part of them).

[0029] The cup parts are joined together in various ways on a single-needle machine using straight or zigzag stitches, or on a coverstitch machine. The open edges of the garment are covered with stitched bias tape (binding) with closed or open edges, placed under the lining, or joined end-to-end, securing with bias tape stitched along the outer and inner edges of the garment.

[0030] The upper and lower pocket pieces for the breast implant are joined along a curved cut. The pocket opening edge is finished with an overlock machine. The pockets are inserted into the gathered cups. The cups are joined at the front to the central bra piece.

[0031] Each strap has length adjustment clamps.

[0032] Connect the lower sections of the straps to the upper edges of the cups. Sew the cut-off sides (4) to the side sections of the cups.

[0033] Along the front edge of the belt, process the notch (21) with a hem stitch or edge it (Fig. 2 g).

[0034] Finish the front edges of the air exchange flaps (18) with a hem (Fig. 2a). Place the flaps, ribbed side down, over the notches of the waistband sections (Fig. 3b) and stitch them to the side sections of the side panels with a single stitch (Fig. 3c). Finish the edges of the pieces, depending on the finishing method chosen, for example, by overcasting, or by sewing on bias tape, or by covering with a lining.

[0035] The top, side and bottom edges of the bra are processed in accordance with the chosen technology, for example, they are edged, or to increase the tightness of the bra edges to the body, elastic bands are sewn on or, in accordance with the model solution, finishing elastic bands (tape).

[0036] The straps can be processed similarly.

[0037] The fastener is processed by sewing on tapes with hooks and multi-row loops.

[0038] The proposed bra has high competitive advantages over similar products due to the use of innovative design and technological solutions and the product’s composition with materials that ensure effective ventilation of the undergarment space through a network of channels formed by the ribbed inner surface of the valve, removing moist air from the lateral zone adjacent to the area with the silicone exoprosthesis.

[0039] The air exchange valve is aesthetically pleasing, built into the design of the bra and does not overload the design of the model.

[0040] As part of the import substitution program, the production of orthopedic bras, innovative in design and technological solutions, is aimed at saturating the domestic market with rehabilitation products of high quality and design.
