Abstract
Description
[0001] This utility model pertains to electrochemical energy, specifically to power devices for hybrid vehicles. These devices include electrochemical capacitor banks (ECBs), which ensure the operation of vehicle power systems in peak operating conditions.
[0002] The EHC module is known [Patent RU No. 202967U1, published 03 / 17.2021, IPC H01G 9 / 04], comprising a housing with current terminals, electrochemical capacitors placed in the housing and electrically connected by jumpers to each other and to the current terminals, a device for pressing the electrochemical capacitors, made in the form of a spring, the electrochemical capacitors and the spring are placed in a common clamp, which is a metal tape and a module housing, characterized in that the housing is made of aluminum, has the shape of a right parallelepiped with cut ribs in the upper part, consisting of two halves pulled together with bolts, has grooves on the side faces of the housing and is provided with lugs made by an integral connection with the housing in the form of disk segments located in the lower part of the housing on the lower and side faces, the current terminals are made in the form of buses and wires connected to them, introduced into one of the end walls of the housing using bolts with holes provided with end sealing gaskets.
[0003] The disadvantage of the prototype is the lack of additional dielectric protection for the EHC housing and the use of a metal tape for the clamp, in order to compress the EHC in the module, which leads to the following consequences:
[0004] - When expanding and contracting due to temperature changes, the EHC body rubs against the metal band of the clamp, which leads to areas of elastic stress in the material and damage to the integrity of the EHC body.
[0005] - during operation of the EHC module, due to the influence of alkaline electrolyte environments on the housing, there is a decrease in electrical strength and an increase in dielectric constant, leading to the spread of corrosion of the metal parts of the EHC module structure.
[0006] The design problem of the EHC module is to provide dielectric protection for the EHC housing to prevent corrosion of the metal parts of the module, as well as to ensure the integrity of the EHC housing when the temperature changes during operation.
[0007] The above problem is solved by the proposed design of an electrochemical capacitor.
[0008] The technical result is an increase in the strength and integrity during expansion and contraction of the EHC housing with temperature changes, as well as a decrease in the dielectric constant and an increase in the electrical strength of the EHC housing, eliminating the occurrence of corrosion of the metal parts of the module.
[0009] The technical result is achieved by the electrochemical capacitor module comprising a housing with a lid and terminals. Inside the housing, electrochemical capacitors are installed, electrically connected to each other and to the terminals via jumpers. The electrochemical capacitors are covered with a heat-shrinkable elastic layer and pressed together with reinforced adhesive tape. A stop bar is installed between the lid and the electrochemical capacitors, and the electrochemical capacitors are pressed together with reinforced adhesive tape, a sidewall, and a spring.
[0010] The figure shows the design of the EHC module.
[0011] The EHC module consists of a side panel 1, a base 2 and a support plate 3, fastened together with rivets 5; a cover 4, terminals 6, a thrust bar 7, a side panel 8, a spring 9, reinforced adhesive tape 10, electrochemical capacitors 11, heat-shrinkable elastic layers 12.
[0012] Using reinforced adhesive tape 10 instead of a metal clamp solves the problem of damage to the EHC 11 housing on sharp edges during clamping. This tape 10 is made of a fiberglass mesh fabric, which provides the necessary strength without mechanically damaging the surface it covers.
[0013] The use of heat-shrinkable elastic layer 12 provides the necessary additional dielectric protection against stray currents, both during operation and during storage of the EHC module.
[0014] The assembly of the EHC module is carried out as follows.
[0015] The required number of EHC 11, on which the heat-shrinkable elastic layer 12 is seated, are pulled together with a reinforced tape 10 with a sidewall 8 and a spring 9. The EHC 11, connected to each other, are electrically connected to the terminals of the module 6. The housing is assembled from the support plate 3, the base 2 and the sidewalls 1, fastened with rivets 5. The assembled capacitors 11 are placed in the housing and closed from above with a cover 4 in such a way that the terminals of the module 6 pass through the corresponding holes of the cover 4 with a support on the thrust bar 7. Then the cover 4 is secured with rivets 5. The module is installed in the mounting place and connected to the consumption circuit.
[0016] Let's look at an example of using the module.
[0017] The module is installed in the mounting location and connected to the power supply. During operation, the housing expands as the ambient temperature changes from 2°C to 15°C. The elasticity and strength of the reinforced adhesive tape 10 ensures a secure hold without causing mechanical stress to the surface of the EHC 11.
[0018] Further, during operation, the housing is compressed when the ambient temperature changes from 20°C to 5°C, while due to the elasticity and strength of the reinforced adhesive tape 10, it provides a reliable tightening, without mechanical impact on the surface of the EHC.
[0019] At the same time, during the operation of the module, the dielectric properties of the EHC housing, namely the dielectric constant and electrical strength, are constantly violated, and the heat-shrinkable elastic layer 12 complements the dielectric properties of the EHC, providing protection against corrosion of the metal parts of the module, short circuits and failure.
[0020] Thus, the proposed design of the module ensures a reduction in the dielectric constant and an increase in the electrical strength of the EHC housing, thereby eliminating corrosion of the metal parts of the module, and also ensures the integrity of the EHC housing during temperature changes during operation and its expansion and contraction.
