Abstract
Description
[0001] This utility model relates to furniture, specifically to clothing storage equipment, specifically floor- or wall-mounted hangers. Hangers are known to include a vertical post with hooks attached to it. The disadvantages of such designs often include difficulty in assembly, the need for additional fasteners (screws, nuts, glue) to secure the hooks, and the impossibility or difficulty of adjusting their height.
[0002] The closest technical solution to the claimed device is a standard hanger stand with rigidly attached hooks. Its disadvantages include its static design, the inability to change the configuration and number of hooks, and the relatively complex manufacturing and assembly process.
[0003] The technical problem that the claimed utility model is aimed at solving is to increase the reliability of the connection and the reliability of the entire device in working order.
[0004] The said technical result is achieved in that a hanger comprising a vertical post and at least one hook, according to the utility model, is characterized in that the vertical post is made with at least one longitudinal through hole, and the hook is made in the form of a flat metal plate with a curved working part and a fastening section provided with at least one groove, wherein the hook is installed in the longitudinal hole of the post with the possibility of fixation without the use of additional fasteners due to the elastic deformation of the material of the hook and / or post.
[0005] In particular cases of implementation of the utility model:
[0006] The hanger additionally contains a fixing plate installed on the vertical post.
[0007] The fixing plate is provided with a central hole corresponding to the cross-section of the rack, and at least one radial groove for accommodating the hook attachment section.
[0008] The hooks are installed symmetrically relative to the longitudinal axis of the vertical post.
[0009] The vertical post is made of a rectangular metal profile element.
[0010] The technical result of the declared hanger is achieved by the combined action of all the features of the formula, each of which contributes to simplifying the design, ensuring adjustment and increasing reliability.
[0011] The solution is based on a modular system, with a vertical post and hooks in the form of flat metal plates forming the core of the structure. Key to the simplicity and tool-free assembly is the post's design with a longitudinal through-hole, and the hook is equipped with a groove in the mounting area. When the hook is inserted into the longitudinal hole, the flat mounting area fits into the groove, and the elasticity of the metal plate creates friction, holding it in place. This eliminates the need for screws, rivets, or glue, dramatically simplifying the overall design and the process of quick assembly and disassembly.
[0012] The adjustable hook position is enabled by the longitudinal shape of the rack opening. The hook can be moved anywhere along this opening, changing its height, and can be easily removed if needed. This transforms the hanger from a static item into a flexible system.
[0013] Several features enhance the connection's reliability. The flat shape of the hook's metal plate provides a large contact area with the edge of the hole in the post, distributing the load and preventing play. A groove in the mounting area firmly grips the post material, preventing the hook from turning under load. An additional feature: the vertical post is made of a rectangular metal profile, directly enhancing the reliability of the entire structure. This profile is highly rigid, resisting bending under the weight of clothing, and its smooth, flat edges are ideal for forming longitudinal holes, ensuring a stable, distortion-free fit for the flat hook.
[0014] An additional feature, the hanger's inclusion of a locking plate, dramatically increases reliability and stability after final adjustment. The plate itself simplifies final assembly, serving as an integrated element rather than a separate fastener. When the locking plate is designed with a central hole for the upright and radial grooves, it functions as a locking mechanism. After the hooks are positioned in the desired positions, the plate is placed on the upright so that the hook mounting areas engage the radial grooves, after which the plate is lowered. This firmly prevents any movement of the hooks along the longitudinal hole, permanently securing the selected configuration and increasing the overall reliability of the system.
[0015] The hooks' symmetrical installation relative to the rack's axis directly improves the structure's reliability and operational stability. This symmetrical arrangement ensures even load distribution on both sides of the hanger's center of gravity, preventing the hanger from tipping over and reducing unwanted torque on the fastening elements.
[0016] Thus, the basic features create a simple and adjustable groove-and-hole fastening system, and additional features consistently strengthen it, adding rigidity, stability and final fixation, which together leads to the stated technical result.
[0017] Brief description of drawings
[0018] Fig. 1 shows a general view of the hanger. Fig. 2 shows a view of the hook. Fig. 3 shows a view of the fixing plate (from above).
[0019] The device is assembled from three main components: a vertical stand, a set of identical hooks, and, optionally, a fixing plate. All components are manufactured separately and assembled into a finished product through a simple assembly process that requires no tools or consumable fasteners.
[0020] The core of the design is a vertical post, a linear element that determines the height of the hanger. To ensure high strength and resistance to bending loads, the post is made of a metal profile, preferably with a rectangular or square hollow cross-section, such as steel or aluminum alloy. A longitudinal through-hole is rolled, milled, or otherwise formed in the profile wall along its entire length, on one or opposite edges. This hole is shaped like an elongated rectangle or a groove with smooth, parallel edges. This hole serves as a universal guide and mounting channel for all hooks. The bottom end of the post can be covered with a decorative plastic or rubber cap, which serves as a support foot and protects the flooring. The top end can also be equipped with a cap or have a through-hole for wall mounting.
[0021] The hook is a single piece, stamped or laser-cut from a sheet of spring steel, providing the necessary elasticity and load-bearing capacity. The hook has two distinct functional zones: a flat fastening section and a curved working section. The flat fastening section is roughly rectangular and equipped with at least one through-groove. This groove is located closer to the outer edge of the plate and has a width exactly corresponding to the wall thickness of the vertical post in the area of the longitudinal hole. The length of the groove exceeds its width, forming a unique "hook." The curved working section smoothly extends from the fastening section, first forming a gentle rise and then a hook-shaped bend to securely hold clothes hangers. All edges of the hook are rounded for safety and aesthetics.
[0022] Assembling a single hook to a post is intuitive. The flat part of the hook mount is placed at an angle toward the post's longitudinal opening, aligning the hook's groove with the edge of this opening. By gently pressing and then rotating it to a horizontal position, the hook is inserted into the post's groove. The hook can then be freely moved along the entire longitudinal opening, selecting the optimal height. Locking in the selected position occurs automatically due to friction between the inner surfaces of the hook's groove and the edges of the post's opening, and the elastic pressure of the flat metal plate. This design allows for the installation of any number of hooks on either side of the post where there is a longitudinal groove, creating symmetrical or asymmetrical configurations. Symmetrical installation of hooks on opposite sides of the post is recommended for even load distribution and increased overall structural stability.
[0023] To provide the structure with ultimate rigidity and prevent any possible shifting of the hooks during intensive use, an additional element—a fixing plate—is used. This plate, also made of metal, has a central mounting hole, the shape and dimensions of which precisely match the outer cross-section of the vertical post, ensuring a tight fit without significant play. Slots or grooves extend radially from the central hole, the number and location of which correspond to the maximum number and position of hooks to be installed. After all the hooks are placed in the longitudinal holes of the post and adjusted to the desired height, the fixing plate is placed on top of the free upper end of the post. The flat mounting surfaces of each hook should engage the corresponding radial grooves in the fixing plate. The plate is then lowered down the post a few centimeters. In this position, it mechanically blocks the hooks' longitudinal movement, as their flat surfaces now rest against the walls of the plate's radial grooves. For additional protection against accidental lifting, the locking plate itself can be secured to the post with a single thumb screw (no screwdriver required) or a decorative locking pin.
[0024] Thus, the claimed utility model is implemented in the form of a ready-to-use product that can be easily adapted to the specific needs of the user by simply moving the hooks, and, if necessary, just as quickly disassembled for compact storage or transportation.
