Abstract
Description
[0001] The utility model relates to vehicles for movement on snow cover, in particular to individual electric snow scooters.
[0002] Russian patent for invention No. 2452645 describes a snowmobile with a rigid frame, a front steerable ski and side skis, equipped with a tracked trolley with an electric motor under the seat, a headlight, parking lights and a radio communication system.
[0003] A drawback of this technical solution is its lack of reliability when operating at low temperatures. The housing design does not provide protection for electronic components from snow and moisture, nor does it include a battery protection system with thermal stabilization.
[0004] From the Russian Federation patent for utility model No. 228968, a roller wheel of an electric snow scooter is known, including two cylindrical motor wheels located on one axis of rotation, located horizontally across the direction of movement with the possibility of fastening to the supporting frame at two points, while a rubber-fabric belt with a tread is used as a working surface, fixed in the form of a cylinder coaxially on the outer surface of the tires of both motor wheels, forming a single propeller, while the motor wheels are spaced from each other and the width of the belt is selected so that the propeller uses the entire support width of the electric snow scooter.
[0005] The disadvantage of this technical solution is its lack of reliability. The tape is attached to the tires mechanically, using screws, which can create localized stress concentrators and risk tire damage. The space between the wheels is not rigidly supported, so the tape in the middle is subject to sag and elastic deflection.
[0006] Russian patent for utility model No. 181780 discloses an electric snow scooter comprising a supporting frame with a seat, to which a rotating stand equipped with a rotating ski and steering wheel is attached. A hub motor, connected to a battery and a control device, is attached to the rear of the supporting frame under the seat. The hub motor comprises an electric motor and a tire with snow lugs.
[0007] The disadvantage of this technical solution is its lack of reliability at low temperatures, since the design of the body and the motor wheel does not provide sufficient protection for the electronic components of the electric snow scooter from snow and moisture.
[0008] This solution is closest to the declared one, therefore it was chosen as a prototype.
[0009] The objective of the proposed utility model is to increase operational reliability at low temperatures due to the fact that the motor-wheel contains a cylindrical tube with end caps, inside which the axis of rotation of the motor-wheel passes, bearing units are installed on the axis of rotation, in which two electric motors are located at the same distance from the center of the axis of rotation, while the stators of the electric motors are filled with a frost-resistant compound, and a labyrinth seal is made along the perimeter of the end caps.
[0010] The technical result of the claimed utility model is an increase in operational reliability at low temperatures.
[0011] This technical result is achieved due to the fact that the known electric snow scooter contains a supporting frame with a seat, under which a motor-wheel is installed, as well as a rotating stand, in the lower part of which a rotating ski is installed, and in the upper part a control device, wherein the motor-wheel contains a tire with snow lugs on its outer surface and is connected to a battery, wherein the motor-wheel contains a cylindrical tube with end caps, inside which the axis of rotation of the motor-wheel passes, bearing assemblies are installed on the axis of rotation, in which two electric motors are located at the same distance from the center of the axis of rotation, wherein the stators of the electric motors are filled with a frost-resistant compound, and a labyrinth seal is made along the perimeter of the end caps.
[0012] It is desirable that the stators of electric motors be filled with silicone sealant or epoxy potting compound.
[0013] It is preferable that a bottom with stiffening ribs be installed at the bottom of the supporting frame.
[0014] It is advisable to install a protective cover with an elastic seal around the perimeter on top of the supporting frame.
[0015] It is desirable that the electrical equipment, including the battery, be placed in a sealed compartment formed by a protective cover with an elastic seal and the bottom of the supporting frame.
[0016] It is preferable that the seat be placed on the outer surface of the protective cover, and additional stiffening ribs be installed on the inner surface under the seat.
[0017] It is advisable that the protective cover be made of frost-resistant plastic, such as ABS plastic or PC / ABS plastic.
[0018] It is desirable that the battery be equipped with a battery management system.
[0019] It is preferable for the turning ski to contain stiffening ribs on the bottom surface.
[0020] It is advisable that the tire be made of a frost-resistant rubber compound based on rubber.
[0021] It is advisable that the bearing units of the hub motor be filled with low-temperature grease, such as lithium grease, polyalphaolefin oil-based synthetic grease, or lithium soap grease.
[0022] For a more detailed disclosure of the utility model, a description of a specific possible embodiment of its implementation with corresponding drawings is provided below.
[0023] Fig. 1 - general view of the electric snow scooter.
[0024] Fig. 2 - side view of the electric snow scooter.
[0025] Fig. 3 - general view of the supporting frame with the bottom.
[0026] Fig. 4 - cross-section of the motor wheel.
[0027] The electric snow scooter consists of a supporting frame 1, on which a seat 2 is installed, under which a motor-wheel 3 is installed on the supporting frame 1, a rotating stand 4 is also attached to the supporting frame 1, in the lower part of which a rotating ski 5 is installed, and in the upper part a control device 6. In this embodiment, the control device 6 includes a steering wheel, a control panel and an electronic control unit.
[0028] The motor-wheel 3 comprises a tire with snow lugs 7 on its outer surface, a cylindrical tube 8 with end caps 9, inside which the axis of rotation 10 of the motor-wheel 3 passes, bearing assemblies 11 are installed on the axis of rotation 10, while on the axis of rotation 10 in the bearing assemblies 11 at the same distance from the center of the axis of rotation 10 there are two electric motors, wherein each electric motor 12 consists of a stator with windings 13 and a rotor 14, wherein the stators 13 are filled with a frost-resistant filling compound, and along the perimeter of the end caps 9 there is a labyrinth seal 15 designed to seal the gap between the end caps 9 and the cylindrical tube 8. In the area where the end caps 9 adjoin the cylindrical tube 8, a frost-resistant adhesive sealant that ensures the bonding of the specified elements and additional sealing of the joint.
[0029] The supporting frame 1 is made of rectangular or square section elements 16, joined in a triangular shape, including by welding. A fitting 17 is secured to the front of the supporting frame 1, into which the rotating stand 4 is installed. A bottom 18, equipped with additional stiffening ribs, is attached to the lower part of the supporting frame 1, for example, by means of a threaded connection or welding. The rear of the supporting frame 1 contains the mounting units for the motor-wheel 19, which have additional stiffening ribs.
[0030] A protective cover 20 is rigidly attached to the top of the supporting frame 1. An elastic seal (not shown in the figures) is attached around the perimeter of the protective cover 20 where it meets the supporting frame 1. Protective cover 20 is made of frost-resistant plastic, such as ABS plastic grade 2020-31.
[0031] Electrical equipment, including a storage battery and lighting equipment, is placed in a sealed compartment formed by a protective cover 20 and a bottom 18.
[0032] The battery pack is comprised of low-temperature battery cells, connected in a stack using welded nickel busbars and housed in a sealed rectangular casing made of a shock-resistant, frost-resistant composite material, such as textolite boards. This casing is mounted within a stainless steel outer casing. At least one electrical connector is located on the side of the battery pack casing for connecting the battery pack to at least one electric drive controller, wherein the controller is electrically connected to the hub motor 3.
[0033] The cables from the battery to the electric motors of the motor-wheel 3 are supplied through sealed cable entries installed in the axis of rotation 10, which provide cable sealing and prevent moisture and snow from entering the cavity of the motor-wheel, while the cable passes through the hole in the axis of the motor-wheel 3 and in the end cover 9.
[0034] The battery is equipped with a battery management system. The battery management system is a printed circuit board containing components for protection against discharge below the permissible voltage threshold when the cell capacity decreases due to cooling; components for balancing the charge between cells in the stack, taking into account the internal resistance variation at low temperatures; components for protection against overcharge, overdischarge, short circuit, and overheating; and components for transmitting battery status data to the electronic control unit, which is part of control unit 6.
[0035] At the center of the turning ski 5 is a fastening 21 for connecting the turning ski 5 and the turning post 4. On both sides of the fastening are support platforms 22 for the user's feet. Stiffening ribs 23 are installed on the lower surface of the turning ski.
[0036] The tire with snow lugs 7 is made of frost-resistant rubber compound, for example brand IRP-1265 or type SP-222, SP-232.
[0037] In this case, the bearing units 11 of the motor wheel are filled with low-temperature plastic grease, for example, lithium grease of class NLGI Grade 3, synthetic plastic grease based on polyalphaolefin oil of the ROX PAO-40 brand, or grease on lithium soap of the RUSMA.EP series.
[0038] The electric snow scooter works as follows.
[0039] The user sits on the seat 2 on the supporting frame 1 and places his feet on the support platforms 22 on both sides of the mount 21 on the turning ski 5. He controls the movement of the snow scooter through the control device 6 with a steering wheel and a remote control installed in the upper part of the turning post 4.
[0040] When the remote control is turned on, power is supplied to the battery management system from the battery located in the compartment between the protective cover 20 and the bottom 18. This system sets the required voltage and current and supplies them to the stator windings 13 of the electric motors 12 on the axle 10 inside the cylindrical tube 8.
[0041] Stators 13 generate a rotating electromagnetic field, which induces torque on rotors 14. This causes rotors 14 to rotate around axis 10, transmitting the rotation to cylindrical tube 8 and tire with snow lugs 7. The snow lugs press into the snow, creating traction that propels the electric snow scooter forward. Bearing assemblies 11, filled with low-temperature plastic grease, allow the hub motor 3 to rotate easily and operate reliably in cold weather.
[0042] By turning the steering wheel, the user rotates the turning post 4 relative to the fitting 17 at the top of the supporting frame 1. The turning post 4, through the fastening 21, turns the turning ski 5, changing the direction of movement of the snow scooter, and the stiffening ribs 23 on the lower surface of the turning ski 5 increase its strength and stability when moving and maneuvering on the snow.
[0043] The design of the hub motor 3 with a cylindrical tube 8 with end caps 9, containing a rotation axis 10 with bearing assemblies 11 and two electric motors, the stators 13 of which are filled with a frost-resistant compound, provides protection for the stator windings 13 from moisture, condensation, and snow, as well as mechanical fastening and vibration damping of the windings and a support function for the hub motor components. This design eliminates kinks and deformations of the hub motor while moving on uneven snowy surfaces, reduces the risk of insulation breakdown, corrosion, and vibration damage to the windings at subzero temperatures, thereby increasing the operational reliability of the electric motors at low ambient temperatures.
[0044] A labyrinth seal 15 around the perimeter of the end caps 9 prevents snow, moisture, and abrasive particles from penetrating the hub motor 3 and bearing assemblies 11, while the seal 15 does not create significant additional friction. This design reduces wear on the bearing assemblies 11 and reduces the likelihood of hub motor 3 jamming when operating on snowy and dirty surfaces, which also improves the operational reliability of the electric snow scooter at low temperatures.
[0045] The placement of bearing assemblies 11 on the rotation axis 10 within the cylindrical tube 8 and the filling of the bearings with low-temperature plastic grease ensures the necessary lubricating properties are maintained at sub-zero temperatures, reducing rotational resistance and bearing wear. This ensures stable rotation of the motor-wheel 3 and reduces the risk of bearing assembly 11 failure at low temperatures, thereby increasing the overall operational reliability of the snow scooter.
[0046] The placement of the electrical equipment, including the battery, in the compartment formed by the protective cover 20 and the bottom 18 of the supporting frame 1, as well as the construction of the protective cover 20 from frost-resistant plastic and the installation of an elastic seal around its perimeter, ensures protection of the equipment from snow, moisture, and direct exposure to low temperatures. This reduces the likelihood of failures due to moisture, icing, and mechanical impacts, and also helps maintain the operability of the battery and control system components, resulting in increased operational reliability of the electric snow scooter at low temperatures.
[0047] The battery management system, which is part of the battery, prevents overcharging of battery cells, reduces the risk of damage to them when cooling and ensures that power is supplied to the electric motors of the 3-wheel motor in a range that is safe for the battery, which helps to increase the operational reliability of the electric snow scooter at low temperatures.
[0048] Thus, the combination of the above features is structurally combined into an electric snow scooter and provides a single technical result - increased operational reliability at low temperatures, due to the comprehensive protection of electric motors, bearing assemblies and electrical equipment from the effects of low temperatures, snow and moisture.
[0049] As is obvious to those skilled in the art, this utility model can be implemented in other specific forms without going beyond the scope of this utility model.
[0050] In this case, the present embodiment should be considered merely illustrative and not limiting, and the scope of the utility model is represented by its formula, and it is assumed that all possible changes and the area of equivalence to the claims of the formula of this utility model are included in it.
