Abstract
Description
[0001] Field of technology to which the utility model belongs
[0002] The utility model generally relates to improvements to the seed level adjustment cover mechanism located inside the vacuum mechanism for dosing seeds of pneumatic seeding machines used in the agricultural sector.
[0003] In particular, the utility model concerns a new seed level adjustment cover mechanism, which makes it easy and practical to adjust the seed compartment window in steps, so that the seeds can be sown one by one at appropriate intervals along the row during sowing, thereby improving the quality and yield of products, while saving time and reducing costs.
[0004] Background of the utility model
[0005] In the prior art, pneumatic seeders capable of precisely sowing seeds one at a time at the required spacing in each row were developed for row seeding in fields. With these precision pneumatic seeders, farmers can sow their crops with less time and money, achieving higher crop quality and yield. Consistent and precise seeding reduces the amount of seeds used and reduces labor costs.
[0006] In seeding machines, seeding quality and accuracy are crucial. Key factors determining seeding quality include individual seed placement at the appropriate depth and spacing along the row. During seeding, the seeds in the seeding units adhere to the holes in the seeding discs due to a vacuum effect. To ensure individual seed placement, each hole on the disc must contain one seed. When pouring seeds from the hopper into the seed metering unit, the seed compartment window must be adjusted to the seed size. This adjustment is made using the seed level cover and is essential for ensuring a uniform seed flow.
[0007] If the seed level cover is closed more than necessary, there will be insufficient seeds in the seed compartment. This causes the holes in the disc to remain empty, resulting in missing seeds during sowing.
[0008] If the seed level cover is opened more than necessary, excess seeds enter the seed hopper. This causes seed accumulation and hinders the rotation of the seed metering disc. Seed accumulation damages soft-textured seeds, while coated seeds may have their coatings destroyed. Damaged seeds either fail to germinate or grow poorly, thereby reducing plant yield. The destroyed coatings cause clogging of the seed metering disc holes, preventing seeding. Seed accumulation also damages the agitator teeth located above the seed metering disc. The seed metering disc is damaged, leading to damage to the seed metering housing. This situation reduces yield, decreases farmers' profits, and increases costs. Moreover, it hinders proper and consistent seeding. Fig. 2 shows the appearance of two different seed metering discs.
[0009] When seeding with a pneumatic seeding machine at the ends of rows, the machine's attachment is lifted behind the tractor to make a turn. Excess seeds in the seed hopper spill out of the seed metering unit during the lift, resulting in seed loss.
[0010] Finally, for accurate seeding, the seed chamber should contain neither too many nor too few seeds. Sufficient seed flow must be ensured. In their user manuals, companies specify the seed chamber openings according to seed size. However, since seeds vary, it's important for farmers to check their seeding and adjust the chamber opening accordingly.
[0011] In the prior art, our company adjusts the seed compartment window using three different seed level caps according to the size and flowability of the seeds. The seed level caps of different sizes are mounted inside the seed metering unit housing using fasteners. If the fasteners are loosely tightened, the caps may fall out; if they are too tight, the fasteners may break or be damaged. Fig. 3 shows the external appearance of the seed level caps (3, 4, 5) and fasteners (6) removed from the empty seed metering unit housing (1.1).
[0012] The seed level cover, designated by our company as C1, used to adjust the seed compartment window, has three different adjustment holes at its upper end and one fixing hole at its lower end. The C1 seed level cover is loosely mounted to the seed metering unit body via its fixing hole using a fastener. Select one of the three adjustment holes suitable for the seeds to be sown, and mount the cover on the seed metering unit body. If a different adjustment hole is required, remove the fastener and loosen the fastener in the fixing hole. Then mount the C1 seed level cover in a different adjustment hole. If the C1 seed level cover is not suitable for the seeds to be sown, remove all fasteners and mount one of the other two covers specified in the user manual using fasteners.
[0013] When adjusting the seed compartment window, it is necessary to adjust either the seed level cover itself or its position in all seeding units. To adjust each unit, the operator must empty the seed from the hopper. This wastes time for the farmer.
[0014] Furthermore, in pneumatic seeders, an inspection cover on the seed metering unit allows for monitoring the interior of the seed metering unit. This allows for monitoring the seed metering process by the disc, the amount of seeds in the metering unit, and the seed flow. In the event of clogging or any malfunctions, the inspection cover helps detect these problems without emptying the seed hopper. Inspection covers should be both functional and easy to use, facilitating necessary adjustments and inspections.
[0015] In the prior art, inspection covers from our company and others are mounted on the seed metering unit body through an opening at the bottom using fasteners and a spring. A pin is located at the top to lock the cover. The cover opens downward to allow viewing of the inside of the seed metering unit body.
[0016] However, the current design does not provide full clearance when opening the inspection cover due to the previous design. This limits visibility and prevents adjustment of the new seed level adjustment cover mechanism. This problem necessitated the design of a new inspection cover. To facilitate adjustments, a sliding inspection cover was designed that opens completely by sliding sideways. Figure 8 shows an open view of the previous inspection cover (29) for inspection.
[0017] As a result, the existing system makes it difficult to easily adjust the seed level. This situation results in the operator spending more time and effort. The existence of these problems and the inadequacy of existing solutions necessitated the development of improvements in this area.
[0018] Purposes of the utility model
[0019] The utility model relates to a seed level adjustment cover mechanism that meets the above requirements, eliminates the disadvantages and provides additional advantages.
[0020] The main purpose of the utility model is to adjust the seed compartment window without rearranging the seed level covers over the holes on the seed dispenser body and without removing or replacing the cover.
[0021] Another purpose of the utility model is to provide the ability to easily and practically adjust the seed compartment window using the seed level adjustment cover mechanism.
[0022] Another purpose of the utility model is to save time and labor costs due to the ability to easily adjust the specified seed compartment window for each unit on top of the seed dispenser body.
[0023] Another purpose of the utility model is to improve the quality and yield of products by providing the ability to accurately seed rows using the seed level adjustment cover mechanism.
[0024] Another goal of the utility model is to design a new inspection cover, as the existing one prevents adjustment of the new seed level adjustment cover mechanism. To ensure adjustment, a sliding inspection cover was designed that opens completely by sliding sideways.
[0025] The structural and characteristic features as well as all the advantages of the utility model will be more clearly understood from the detailed description given below with reference to the accompanying figures, and therefore the evaluation should be made in view of these figures and the detailed description.

[0095] Detailed description of the utility model
[0096] In this detailed description, preferred embodiments of the seed level adjustment cover mechanism located on the seed dispenser body according to the utility model are explained solely to facilitate a better understanding of the subject matter of the utility model and without creating any limiting effect.
[0097] Fig. 12 shows an exploded view of the seed level adjustment cover mechanism according to the utility model. Accordingly, the elements forming the seed level adjustment cover mechanism are shown below:
[0098] - scale (18) for adjusting the seed level with holes on it;
[0099] - fixing element (19) for attaching this scale to the body (2) of the seed dispenser;
[0100] - adjustment head (10), which moves along the scale (18) for adjusting the seed level and, after setting it to the required position, is fixed in the holes (28) of the scale;
[0101] - spring (12) for reciprocating movement of the specified head;
[0102] - washer (13) for fastening the spring;
[0103] - pin (15) for engaging the head in the holes (28);
[0104] - connecting pin (11) connecting the pin and the head;
[0105] - centering element (14) for centering the pin (15) on the movable cover (8) and for ensuring smooth movement;
[0106] - movable cover (8) of seed level, used to adjust the window (27) of the seed compartment;
[0107] - pins (9) on the movable cover (8) of the seed level, which move inside the channels on the body (2) of the seed dispenser for stable operation;
[0108] - fixing cover (16), mounted inside the housing (2) of the seed dispenser;
[0109] - fasteners (17) for fixing the locking cover;
[0110] - inspection cover (20) located on the body (2) of the seed dispenser;
[0111] - handle (25) for moving the inspection cover;
[0112] - locking device (24) with teeth;
[0113] - spring (23), located between the inspection cover and the locking device;
[0114] - washer (22) for moving the spring; and
[0115] - retaining ring (21) for fastening the spring.
[0116] Seeds, entering the seed metering unit body (1, 2) from the seed hopper via the vacuum created by the seed drill fan, are individually captured by the holes on the seed disc (37, 38) and dropped into the planting holes opened in specific rows and at specific depths in the field. For individual seed placement, each hole on the seed discs (37, 38) must contain one seed. Consequently, the window (27) of the seed compartment is adjusted according to the seed.
[0117] To change the window (27) of the seed compartment, the adjustment is carried out using the seed level adjustment cover (7). To do this, the mechanism (26) of the inspection cover on the body (2) of the seed metering unit must first be opened. To move the mechanism (26) of the inspection cover, pull the handle (25). When pulling the handle (25), it is released, and the mechanism (26) of the inspection cover can move laterally. When opening the mechanism (26) of the inspection cover, the seeding disc (37, 38) becomes visible, which allows you to observe whether the seeds are metered, the level of seeds in the compartment and how the seeds pass through it; and also perform the adjustment of the seed level cover.
[0118] On the body (2) of the seed metering device, there is a seed level adjustment scale (18) with level holes (28), fixed in place. On this scale (18), an adjustment knob (10) is located, which can engage with the level holes (28). The adjustment knob (10) moves between the level holes (28). To move the adjustment knob (10), it is pulled outward to release it. When the adjustment knob (10) is released, it slides up and down along the seed level adjustment scale (18).
[0119] The movable seed level cover (8), mounted on the adjustment head (10), moves up and down inside the seed metering body (2) together with the adjustment head (10). To expand the seed compartment, the cover is moved upward; to narrow it, it is moved downward. The adjustment head (10) is installed in the corresponding level hole (28) on the scale (18) for the required position and engaged. Through this process, the adjustment is completed, and the seed level adjustment cover operates according to the specified operating principle.
[0120] As stated in Item 1, the seed level adjustment scale (18) can be made in different shapes, with different fasteners and with different numbers of fasteners.
[0121] As stated in point 3, the number of holes on the seed level adjustment scale (15) can be increased or decreased.
[0122] As stated in Item 6, the movable cover (8) of the seed level can be made in different shapes, with different fasteners and with different numbers of fasteners.
[0123] As indicated in paragraph 7, the guide member (9) moving inside the channel in the body (2) of the seed dispenser for stable operation of the movable cover (8) of the seed level may have a pin, square or rectangular shape.
[0124] As indicated in Item 8, the fixing cover (16) can be made in different shapes, with different fasteners and with different numbers of fasteners.
[0125] As stated in Item 9, the inspection cover (20) can be made in different shapes, with different fasteners and with different numbers of fasteners.
[0126] As stated in Item 10, the inspection cover locking device with teeth can be provided in different shapes, with different fasteners, and with different numbers of fasteners.
[0127] Furthermore, alternative configurations may be used in the seed level adjustment cover mechanism (A) according to the utility model to allow the adjustment head (8) to transition between levels on the seed level adjustment scale (15). For example:
[0128] - instead of the adjustment head (8), a design with a tooth can be used, the movement of which is provided by a spring mechanism to adjust the level;
[0129] - the movement of the adjustment head (8) can be achieved by means of a threaded system;
[0130] - Adjustment can be made using a system in which the adjustment head is locked in the level holes.
[0131] The newly designed inspection cover provides greater inspection clearance, a better field of view, and easier seed level adjustment. Furthermore, without removing and replacing three different seed level covers or emptying the hopper, the seed compartment window can be easily and conveniently adjusted using a single sliding seed level cover. This facilitates precise seeding in rows, simplifies farmers' work, improves crop quality and yield, and saves labor, time, and money.
[0132] The scope of legal protection of this application is defined in the claims of the utility model and cannot be limited to the examples described above for illustrative purposes only. It is clear that a person skilled in the art can implement similar configurations using the innovation disclosed in the utility model and / or apply this configuration to other areas with similar objectives in the relevant technical field. Therefore, it is also obvious that such configurations will lack novelty and, in particular, will lack an inventive step compared to the prior art.
