Abstract
Description
[0001] Technical field
[0002] The utility model relates to rotating lures for catching pike, pike perch and large perch, containing an axial rod, a rotating petal, a weight and a hook.
[0003] Prior art and known analogues
[0004] Russian equivalent: RU2267919C1 - Rotating spoon V.L.S. A rotating spoon with a weight, a support element, an axis, a petal and a hook is known.
[0005] Additional Prior Art: US20050166444A1 - Spinner Bait Blade. This publication describes designs in which the rotating element and hook can be located on separate parts of the frame.
[0006] In a conventional spinner, the blade is mounted on a bracket directly encircling the wire axle. Friction between the bracket and the axle and supporting beads increases the speed required to initiate rotation. The reaction torque from the blade is partially transferred to the weight, hook, and line, causing roll, rotation of the hook section, and twisting of the leader. Separating the elements on the wire frame reduces torque transmission, but increases the overall size and does not create a compact, coaxial assembly.
[0007] Technical task
[0008] The technical challenge is to create a compact rotating spoon, in which the blade rotates relative to a fixed power rod through a bearing assembly, and the hook is not connected to the rotating ring.
[0009] Technical result
[0010] The technical result is to reduce starting friction, reduce the transmission of torque to the hook and line, maintain the working orientation of the hook, reduce tangles and increase stability during uniform wiring.
[0011] The essence of the design
[0012] A bearing assembly is mounted on the axial rod. The bearing assembly has an inner sleeve rigidly connected to the rod, the outer race, and the rolling elements between them. The petal holder is secured to the outer race. The hook assembly is attached to the rear of the axial rod behind the bearing assembly and is not connected to the outer race. The load core is located on the fixed part of the rod.
[0013] Expanded description of design and operation
[0014] The core of the spoon is a stainless steel spring wire hub or rigid metal axle. The front end forms a loop for attaching the fishing line, while the rear end forms a loop for the hook knot. Between the loops is a weight core, which is held rigidly on the hub and maintains the center of gravity below the blade's axis of rotation.
[0015] A compact bearing assembly is mounted in front of or at the front of the load core. The inner sleeve of the assembly is fixed to the rod. An outer race surrounds the inner sleeve, and balls or cylindrical rolling elements are located between them. The outer race has an eye or fork-type holder to which the petal is attached via a ring.
[0016] As the water moves, the petal deviates from the axis and begins to rotate the outer ring. The rolling elements reduce resistance compared to a conventional bracket sliding on a wire. The inner sleeve, axial rod, weight, and hook do not have to rotate with the petal. The reaction torque is supported by the bearing and is partially compensated by the mass and hydrodynamic shape of the fixed part.
[0017] The bearing assembly can be protected by two protective washers. Labyrinth-like gaps are created between the washers and the bearing race to prevent direct sand ingress. The internal cavity is filled with waterproof grease or a self-lubricating polymer separator is used. The protective elements do not clamp the outer race and maintain free rotation.
[0018] To support axial forces, thrust washers made of fluoroplastic, polyamide, or stainless steel are installed between the outer race and adjacent components. They limit axial movement without transmitting rotation to the load. When the flow direction changes, the outer race can briefly shift within the specified clearance, after which it returns to its operating position.
[0019] The hook knot is attached to the rear loop of the pivot rod via a split ring. A small lower ballast or flat stabilizer is installed on the fixed part in front of the hook. The ballast tends to lower and maintains the hook point in the desired orientation. Since the ballast is not connected to the outer ring, rotation of the blade does not continuously rotate it.
[0020] The fork petal holder on the outer race allows for the replacement of petals of different sizes and shapes. The holder transmits torque to the race without touching the stem. The petal can be mounted on the short axis between the fork cheeks or through the fork spring ring. The distance between the petal and the load is adjusted to prevent contact at maximum deflection.
[0021] The bearing assembly is designed as a replaceable cartridge. After unbending or opening the front loop, the cartridge is removed from the rod and replaced. This allows for easy maintenance of the lure after extended use in sandy waters and the use of cartridges of varying load capacities. The larger version uses a miniature metal bearing, while the lighter version uses polymer rolling elements.
[0022] When the retrieve begins, the flow acts on the blade. The low resistance of the bearing allows the blade to begin rotating without a preliminary jerk. The weight and hook move progressively, oscillating only slightly. When the retrieve pauses, the blade drops but does not drag the hook around its axis. When the retrieve resumes, the outer ring quickly picks up rotation, while the stationary part remains stable.
[0023] Technical disclosure of claims 2-8
[0024] Item 2. Sealed ball bearing reduces friction and protects rolling elements.
[0025] Item 3. Labyrinth washers limit the entry of sand without making hard contact with the race.
[0026] Item 4. The fork holder transmits the rotation of the petal only to the outer race.
[0027] Item 5. The lower ballast keeps the fixed part and the hook in a predominantly vertical position.
[0028] Item 6. The stabilizing plate additionally prevents the rotation of the load core.
[0029] Item 7. Thrust washers absorb axial force and prevent contact between the cage and the load.
[0030] Item 8. The replaceable cassette allows you to replace the worn bearing unit.
[0031] Execution example
[0032] The spinner is made with an axial rod made of 1.2 mm stainless steel wire. A 10 g brass weight core is attached to the rod. A bearing cartridge with an outer diameter of 7 mm is installed in front of the core. The inner bushing is clamped between the rod's limiting shoulders, and the outer race carries a fork-type blade holder. A thrust polymer washer is placed between the cartridge and the core. The hook is connected to the rear loop of the rod via a split ring, and a flat stabilizer is attached to the bottom of the core. When retrieved, the blade, holder, and outer race rotate, while the core and hook remain stationary.
[0033] Relationship between design and technical result
[0034] Rolling elements separate the rotating outer race and the stationary inner sleeve. Therefore, the moment from the blade is not transmitted directly to the axial rod and hook. The lower ballast and stabilizer support the stationary part, and thrust washers prevent friction between the outer race and the load. The combined action of these elements reduces blade launch speed and tackle twist.
[0035] Brief description of drawings
[0036] Figure 1 shows a general view of a rotating spoon bait with a bearing decoupling of the petal and hook assembly. The design comprises a front loop 1 for attaching the fishing line, an eyelet 2 holding the petal, a petal 3, a sinker or core 4, a compact bearing assembly 5, the rear part of the axial shaft 6, a tee 7, a bearing assembly 8, and a hook assembly 9. The figure also symbolically shows that the petal assembly rotates, while the hook assembly maintains a stable orientation.
[0037] The front loop 1 is formed on the axial shaft and is designed to attach a fishing line, leader, or clasp. A petal 3 is mounted on the axial shaft at the front by a shackle 2. The petal 3 is designed to rotate freely around the axial shaft under the influence of the oncoming water flow. The rotation of the petal creates characteristic flashes of light, vibrations, and hydrodynamic disturbances that attract fish.
[0038] Behind petal 3, on the axial shaft, is core 4, which functions as a sinker and stabilizing element. Core 4 determines the weight of the lure, improves its casting characteristics, and ensures its stability in the current. At the rear, between core 4 and the hook assembly, is a compact bearing assembly 5. In the figure, the bearing assembly is also designated 8 as the functional element that ensures the rotation of the front part of the lure relative to the rear.
[0039] The rear part of the axial shaft 6 connects the bearing unit to the hook unit 9, on which the tee 7 is fixed. Due to the presence of the bearing unit 5, 8, the rotation created by the petal 3 and perceived by the front part of the bait is not fully transmitted to the hook unit 9. As a result, the hook remains stably oriented, twisting of the tackle is reduced, and the likelihood of tangles is reduced.
[0040] The figure illustrates the principle of separate kinematics: the left part of the structure, containing petal 3 and core 4, can rotate relative to the rear section, while the hook area maintains a more stable spatial position. This solution increases the stability of the spoon and improves the lure's performance during continuous, uniform casting.
[0041] Industrial applicability
[0042] The axial rod is made of flexible stainless steel wire, the weight cores are cast or turned, and the petal holders are stamped. The bearing cartridge can contain a standard miniature bearing or custom-made polymer races and rolling elements. Assembly is performed using standard spinner manufacturing procedures.
