The invention aims to eliminate the difficulty of implementing a transformer mounting method when the overall thickness of the assembled circuit board is limited. Rigidly mounting the transformer without metal components is also particularly important when noise emissions are required and the transformer windings operate at frequencies in the audio range of 16-20,000 Hz.

[0012] The fastening unit (Fig. 1) of the cylindrical transformer 1 includes a fastening element, which can be made in the form of a ring of dielectric material 3 to prevent short-circuiting of the transformer terminals. The ring material can be selected so that it is sufficiently easy to process or stamped. The inner diameter of the ring is selected with a minimum gap for gluing, based on the diameter of the transformer housing, and the outer diameter is increased by 20-30%, which is quite sufficient for reliable gluing, for example, with BF-2 glue. If necessary, part of the ring can be cut off if the transformer is located close to the edge of the board 2. The thickness of the ring is determined by the portion of the transformer height that should be located on one side of the board. The remaining portion of the transformer height, minus the thickness of the board, will be located on the opposite side of the board.Before directly attaching the transformer to the board, the ring is glued to the transformer so that one of the ring's faces is aligned with one of the transformer's faces. After gluing the ring to the transformer and allowing the glue to dry, the resulting structure is glued to the board so that the transformer fits into a pre-drilled hole in the board, the diameter of which is suitable for the transformer.
