Abstract
FIELD: electric motors.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for restoring local corrosion damage on the outer surface of a submersible electric motor during routine maintenance. The method involves mechanically cleaning the corrosion-damaged area on the outer surface of the motor from corrosion products until the underlying metal is exposed, and then applying a metal coating to the cleaned area. The coating is applied using the electro-arc metallization method in layers, with an arc current of 200-250 A, a surface temperature of 80-120 °C, and a wire diameter of 1.5-2.4 mm. In this case, a jet of molten particles is directed at the specified area under a pressure of 0.4-0.6 MPa of compressed air.EFFECT: ensures the formation of a stable metal coating at the site of use, which fills the corrosion pit and restores the geometry and strength of the housing.1 cl, 3 dwg, 2 ex
