Abstract

FIELD: otolaryngology; otosurgery.SUBSTANCE: used during surgical interventions on the ear. A universal multifunctional otosurgeon's work table is presented, containing a panel fixed on supports, made in the form of a plastic box in the shape of an equilateral triangle with rounded corners for storing auditory ossicular prostheses with the ability to simultaneously combine the functions of the instruments necessary for the otosurgeon. On the working surface of the table panel there are plastic templates, the length of which for partial dentures ranges from 1.75 to 3.5 mm, for total dentures – 3.0 to 7.0 mm. In the working surface of the table panel, there are recesses in the form of shafts spaced apart from the plastic templates and from each other for adjusting the lengths of both total and partial variation prostheses, as well as recesses necessary for creating a cartilaginous plate for additional fixation of total prostheses on the footplate of the stapes and cartilaginous cutouts in the form of rings with sharpened edges, of which two are round with a diameter of 8.0 and 6.0 mm for creating a transplant of optimal size for closing perforations of the eardrum, and one oval with dimensions of 3.6×2.6 mm to create a cartilage graft of the minimum size required to cover the head plate of the prostheses. On the working surface of the table panel there is a ruler for precise selection of the length of the universal prosthesis. The working surface of the table panel has a recess for clamping the cartilage graft with the ability to give it the desired thickness using a blade / scalpel.
