Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to the field of veterinary medicine, in particular to the treatment of non-specific bronchopneumonia in cattle.
[0002] Technology Level
[0003] A method is known for treating non-specific bronchopneumonia in calves, including an intrapleural novocaine-antibiotic blockade, characterized in that the calves are additionally administered a 10% solution of eraconda-B intramuscularly at a dose of 3.0-3.5 mg / kg of animal weight during the first 4-5 days of treatment and are given a daily infusion of coltsfoot leaves 1:10 at the rate of 90-110 ml per animal 3 times a day and given 0.5-0.6 g of ascorbic acid orally for 5-7 days (patent RU 2256460, published 20.07.2005, bulletin No. 20).
[0004] The disadvantage is that the method is a method of pathogenetic therapy of animals with pulmonary diseases; it must be supplemented by treatment with titrated antibiotics and sulfonamides.
[0005] The closest in technical essence and the achieved positive effect and accepted by the authors as a prototype, is a method for the treatment and prevention of bronchopneumonia in calves and piglets, including aerosol spraying of a drug in the air, characterized in that a 25% alcoholic tincture of propolis diluted with a 20% glucose solution in a ratio of 1:100 is used as a drug, which is processed in a dose of 3-5 ml / m3 of the chamber for 60 minutes, then after 24 hours the animals are re-treated in the same dose, and for the third time - 72 hours after the second treatment, the animals are re-treated in the same dose under the same exposure (patent RU 2353376, published 04 / 27 / 2009, bulletin No. 12).
[0006] The disadvantages of this method are: the inability to predict the course and outcome of respiratory diseases in calves, the long time from the moment of blood sampling to receiving test results, the need for special premises, laboratory equipment and highly qualified personnel.
[0007] Disclosure of invention
[0008] The objective of the proposed invention is to develop a method for treating bronchopneumonia in cattle.
[0009] The technical result that can be achieved with the help of the proposed invention is to increase the effectiveness of the method for treating non-specific bronchopneumonia in cattle.
[0010] The technical result is achieved using a method for treating bronchopneumonia in cattle, which includes the injection of a medicinal product containing the following ratio of components, wt. %, once or twice at intervals of 48 hours at a dose of 5-10 mg / kg of azithromycin into the body of cattle:
[0011] azithromycin 10 0.2% chitosan solution with 1% acetic acid with deacetylation ≥90% and a molecular weight of 50-150 kDa 85 polyethylene glycol-400 5
[0012] Brief description of drawings
[0013] Fig. 1 - Therapeutic effectiveness of the claimed method.
[0014] Implementation of the invention
[0015] Example 1
[0016] A drug used to treat bovine bronchopneumonia is prepared by dissolving chitosan with a deacetylation level of ≥90% and a molecular weight of 50-150 kDa in 1% acetic acid at 25-30°C. Azithromycin and polyethyleneglycol-400 are then added and mixed at 400-600 rpm on a magnetic stirrer. The resulting solution is placed in an ultrasonic cleaner at 20-25 kHz for 7 min to defoam. The resulting solution is then lyophilized for 3 hours. The components are mixed at the following ratio (wt.%):
[0017] azithromycin 10 0.2% chitosan solution with 1% acetic acid with deacetylation ≥90% and a molecular weight of 50-150 kDa 85 polyethylene glycol-400 5
[0018] Example 2
[0019] A trial to study the effectiveness of the proposed method for treating bronchopneumonia in cattle was conducted on mature cows (two or more calvings). The diagnosis of bronchopneumonia was established using a combination of clinical examination data, laboratory tests, and autopsy.
[0020] The animals were divided into two groups based on the principle of paired analogues, taking into account the general condition and severity of the disease.
[0021] For the treatment of cows in the first group (80 animals), the basic variant was used, using tetrachloride / 4 / intramuscularly at a dose of 10 mg / kg of body weight once a day until and for 2-3 days after the disappearance of clinical signs of the disease. For the treatment of cows in the second group (80 animals), the claimed drug was administered to cattle once or twice at a 48-hour interval at a dose of 5-10 mg / kg of azithromycin by injection.
[0022] Treatment results (Fig. 1). The treatment course for the experimental group was 4-5 days, the therapeutic efficacy of the experimental animals was 96.3%, which is 7.55% better than the control group.
[0023] Thus, the proposed method of treating bronchopneumonia contributes to the rapid relief of the pathological process and recovery of cattle.
