Description

[0001] The invention relates to means for maneuvering or moving wagons over short distances using motorized self-propelled devices or manually moved ones.

[0002] A universal coupling device is known, mounted on a supporting surface and designed with the possibility of connecting to the traction unit of a moving car, as well as to a drive device (see US 3262399 A, published July 26, 1966).

[0003] The disadvantages of the known device include its limited versatility, which precludes its use for moving cars to depots, for example, in the absence of utility tracks specifically designed for car pushers. Furthermore, the known device does not provide for the ability to engage cars with different traction unit locations, nor does it accommodate the use of different drive types, including manual ones.

[0004] The technical problem is the creation of a universal coupling device that allows it to be used in any combination with various drive devices, with the ability to engage any permissible point of moving wagons of various types and in various conditions of production and operation of rolling stock.

[0005] The technical result is an increase in the degree of universality of the device, which makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the operation of the rolling stock.

[0006] The technical problem is solved and the technical result is achieved in that a universal coupling device installed on a supporting surface is made with the possibility of connecting with the traction unit of a moving wagon, as well as with a drive device, wherein, according to the invention, the means of connecting with the wagon is made in the form of a rod, and the coupling device is provided with at least one grip made with the possibility of placing the rod in it in such a way that its longitudinal geometric axis intersects the vertical plane of the direction of movement of the wagon, wherein the coupling device is provided with a universal mating surface made with the possibility of connecting one of the various types of drive devices to it.

[0007] The technical result is also achieved by the fact that the traction unit of the car can be made in the form of a technological opening in the side of the bogie, and the rod placed in the grip is made with the possibility of inserting its end into the said technological opening to move the car in a direction parallel to the direction of movement of the coupling device.

[0008] The technical result is also achieved by the fact that the traction unit can be made in the form of a traction coupling unit located on the end side of the car, and the rod is provided with a drawbar made with the possibility of engaging with the traction coupling unit for moving the car in a direction coinciding with the direction of movement of the coupling device.

[0009] The technical result is also achieved in that the drawbar can be equipped with an eye, into the hole of which a rod is threaded.

[0010] The technical result is also achieved by the fact that the grip can be made in the form of a rotating clamp with a handle, mounted on a rotating axis with the ability to grip the outer surface of the rod when it is placed in the grip and equipped with a locking device that prevents the clamp from turning after it grips the rod.

[0011] The technical result is also achieved by the fact that the coupling device can be equipped with an additional grip located at a distance from the supporting surface that differs from the distance of the first grip from the supporting surface.

[0012] The technical result is also achieved by the fact that the mating surface can be connected to the corresponding surface of the drive device using a permanent connection.

[0013] The technical result is also achieved by the fact that the mating surface can be connected to the corresponding surface of the drive device using a detachable connection.

[0014] The technical result is also achieved by the fact that it can be equipped with an adapter designed with the possibility of connecting one of the types of drive devices to it.

[0015] The technical result is also achieved by the fact that a shunting tractor can be used as a drive device.

[0016] The technical result is also achieved by the fact that the coupling device can be equipped with at least one support wheel designed to interact with the supporting surface.

[0017] The technical result is also achieved by the fact that the drive device can be equipped with a handle for its manual drive.

[0018] The invention is explained with the help of drawings.

[0019] Fig. 1 shows a coupling device without a drive device;

[0020] Fig. 2 shows a view of the coupling device with the drive device;

[0021] Fig. 3 shows the design of the traction unit of the car in the form of a technological hole in the side of the bogie;

[0022] Fig. 4 shows the coupling device ready to move the car;

[0023] Fig. 5 shows the design of the traction unit in the form of a traction coupling unit located on the end side of the car;

[0024] Fig. 6 shows the use of a shunting tractor as a drive device engaged with a traction coupling unit.

[0025] The described coupling device 1 is a metal structure, for example, a box-shaped one, made of sheet metal (structural steel grade, for example, 09G2S, 6 mm thick). It contains a grip 2, made, for example, in the form of a rotating clamp 3 with a handle 4, mounted on a rotating axis 5 with the ability to grasp the outer surface of the rod 6 of the means of connecting to the car (not shown in the drawing) when it is placed in the grip 2. The rod 6 can be made solid or composite. When made composite, the rod 6 is a pipe. When the traction unit of the car is made in the form of a technological opening 7 in the side of its bogie 8, a tip 9 is inserted into the hole of the hollow rod 6, which, in turn, is inserted into the specified technological opening 7 of the bogie 8 and is fixed by means of a bolted connection 10.In the hollow rod 6 at the level of the grip 2 there are openings into which pins can be installed (not shown in the drawings), which prevent movement in the horizontal plane of the rod 6 relative to the coupling device 1. The clamp 3 can be provided with a locking device that prevents the rotation of the clamp 3 after it grips the rod 6 and is made, for example, in the form of a lever 11.

[0026] The rod in clamp 3 is placed in such a way that its longitudinal geometric axis intersects the vertical plane passing through the direction of movement of the car.

[0027] The coupling device 1 is provided with a universal mating surface 12, designed with the possibility of attaching to it one of the various types of drive devices 13, for example, an electric pusher, as shown in Fig. 2.

[0028] The mating surface 12 can be connected to the corresponding surface of the drive device 13 by means of a permanent connection, for example, by means of welding.

[0029] Or the mating surface 12 is connected to the corresponding surface of the drive device by means of a detachable connection 14, as shown in Fig. 2.

[0030] The coupling device 1 can be provided with an adapter (not shown in the drawings) designed with the possibility of connecting one of the types of drive devices 13 to it.

[0031] A shunting tractor or other means can be used as a driving device.

[0032] The coupling device 1 can be provided with at least one support wheel 15, intended for interaction with the supporting surface when using the two-wheel drive device 13.

[0033] The drive device 13 can be provided with a handle 16 to ensure the possibility of its manual drive.

[0034] When using the standard traction coupling unit 17, located on the end side of the car, as a traction unit, the rod 6 is provided with a drawbar 18, made with the possibility of engaging with the traction coupling unit 17 for moving the car in a direction that coincides with the direction of movement of the coupling device 1. In this case, the drawbar 18 can be provided with an eye 19, into the hole of which the rod 6 is threaded.

[0035] The coupling device may be equipped with an additional grip 20 located at a distance from the supporting surface that differs from the distance of the first grip 3 from the supporting surface, i.e., at a different height from the supporting surface. Furthermore, the coupling device may be equipped with a sling ring 21, which is designed to conveniently move the coupling device 1 while it is not yet assembled with the drive device 13, and can also be used to conveniently connect the coupling device 1 to the drive device 13.

[0036] The described coupling device 1 is used as follows. Coupling device 1 is designed for moving both traction and non-self-propelled rolling stock, as well as any loads to which this coupling device 1 is applicable.

[0037] The coupling device 1, as well as the principle of moving wagons, can be used both with an electric pusher and with other devices capable of performing shunting operations (electric forklifts, locomotive robots, traction machines, industrial tractors, shunting traction devices, winch machines, etc.) for moving traction and non-self-propelled rolling stock located next to (at the side or at the end) with such rolling stock.

[0038] To move a car with a coupling device 1, equipped with a drive device 13, in an electric depot along the surface of the rail (in a direction parallel to the direction of movement of the coupling device), the rod 6 of the coupling device 1 is connected directly to the bogie 8 of the car. For example, a tip 9 is used, inserted with one end into a technological hole 7 of the bogie 8 and with its opposite end into the hole of the tubular rod 6 with fixation by a bolted connection 10. After installing the rod 6 in the coupling device 1, it is fixed in the closed position by means of a grip 2 (lowering the yoke 3 to the lower position). With the help of the yoke 3, the rod 6 is held in the coupling device 1 during movement both forward and backward. To disengage the coupling device 1 from the rod 6, it is necessary to raise the clamp 3 to the upper position and move away from the rod 6.To prevent unintentional disengagement for any reason, clamp 3 is secured in the lower position by lever 11. To open clamp 3, move lever 11 to the upper position. Clamp 3 is attached to coupling device 1 by axis 5, on which clamp 3 can rotate. Coupling device 1 can be rigidly attached to drive device 13, which has a sufficient number of supports, or it can have support wheel 15, which performs the support and control function of the assembled structure during forward movement. Wheel 15 can rotate around a vertical axis to maneuver coupling device 1 toward the car while it is not yet coupled to the car. Coupling device 1 is moved either manually by the operator or by drive device 13, for example, an electric pusher. Due to the connection of rod 6 with coupling device 1 and bogie 8, the car moves in a direction parallel to the movement of coupling device 1.

[0039] As a rule, all depots have two floor levels between the tracks. Therefore, when moving coupling device 1 across a floor with a different floor level, rod 6 is secured in an additional clamp 20 with a similar clamp fastening device. There can be as many additional clamps as there are floor levels in the depot or other railway facilities.

[0040] In addition to using coupling device 1 between the tracks and attaching it to the side of the car for movement, it is also possible to attach coupling device 1 to the end (front and rear) of the car being moved. With end-on attachment, the design of coupling device 1 remains unchanged, except that drawbar 18 is attached to rod 6, which connects to the car's articulated traction coupling unit 17. In this case, coupling device 1 moves along the track between the rails in the same direction as the car's movement.

[0041] Thus, the described universal coupling device allows for use in any combination with various drive units, with the ability to engage any permitted point on various types of moving cars and under various rolling stock production and operating conditions. This means that using this device increases the operational efficiency of the rolling stock fleet.
