Description

[0001] The invention relates to the design of small arms and cannon weapons and serves to secure and provide stability to the weapon during firing when installed on the launch device of military equipment; it can be used to expand the functional capabilities of a military equipment model and to destroy both ground targets and low-flying unmanned aerial vehicles.

[0002] Modern requirements for weapon mobility and versatility necessitate the development of adaptive solutions that enable the effective use of various types of ammunition in various conditions. One such solution is an adapter for firing the Kalashnikov tank machine gun (PKT) from the launcher of Shturm-S military vehicles, providing flexibility in combat operations.

[0003] A known installation of a large-caliber gun on an armored vehicle [1] includes a fork attached to it, a cradle mounted on trunnions, and a guidance drive. However, the gun mount lacks devices designed for securing it to the launcher of military vehicles such as the Shturm-S.

[0004] An invention is known, implemented in the form of an installation [2] of a weapon on a vehicle, containing a fork fixed to it, a cradle mounted in it on trunnions, connected to a guidance drive, a bed with a weapon fixed in it, wherein the center of mass of the bed and the weapon is offset from the axis of the trunnions in the direction of firing.

[0005] The disadvantage of the design of this installation is that there is no rigid fixation of the small arms on the vehicle and, as a result, shooting errors occur, caused by the additional vertical speed of the bullet acquired by it when moving in the barrel bore, as a result of the influence of linear vertical vibrations of the moving vehicle on which the weapon is installed.

[0006] A known invention [3] comprises a fork mounted on a vehicle, a cradle, a weapon support, trunnions, elastic and damping elements, and a swing angle limiter. The cradle and support are connected to the fork by trunnions and are capable of swinging relative to each other and the fork. Vertical vibrations of the moving vehicle are transmitted to the fork, the weapon support, and the bullet moving down the barrel during firing.

[0007] The disadvantage of the known installation is the large dimensions of the installation and the complexity of the design, which requires more time when installing small arms on the installation for firing.

[0008] Various known small arms mounts include brackets and hinge mechanisms. However, such designs often lack sufficient rigidity during firing, leading to vibration and reduced accuracy. Furthermore, existing solutions can complicate the process of firing small arms. The proposed invention eliminates these drawbacks by combining a welded channel, adjustable trunnions, and bushings, ensuring the PKT's stability during firing and ease of operation. The proposed technical solution is intended for use in military vehicles such as the Shturm-S and other similar systems.

[0009] The purpose of the invention is to implement a simple and reliable design of an adapter for installing a Kalashnikov tank machine gun on a launcher mounted on military equipment, with the ability to quickly aim the barrel of a small arms at a target, as well as to expand the functional capabilities of using military equipment depending on combat conditions.

[0010] The adapter for firing the PKT from a launcher will expand the tactical capabilities of the launcher guide, allowing the PKT to be fired from standard launchers while maintaining their mobility and ergonomics.

[0011] The invention is explained by the drawings: Fig. 1 - general view of the adapter for firing the PKT from the launcher; Fig. 2 - right view of the adapter for firing the PKT on the launcher; Fig. 3 - left view of the adapter for firing the PKT on the launcher; Fig. 4 - top view of the adapter channel; Fig. 5 - right view of the adapter channel; Fig. 6 - front view of the adapter channel; Fig. 7 - front view of the adapter channel with installed trunnions; Fig. 8 - front trunnion; Fig. 9 - rear trunnion; Fig. 10 - bushing.

[0012] To achieve the purpose of the invention, it is necessary to use an adapter on the PKT, which in turn consists of: a channel 1, a bed 2, a front trunnion 3 and a rear trunnion 4, three bushings 5, two screws 9 and four nuts 6. Distinctive features of the invention consist in the use of a bed 2 which is fixed on the channel 1 by electric arc welding, while the channel 1 has a length L1 = 720 mm, a width A = 80 mm, a height H1 = 60 mm and a thickness B = 8 mm, in its lower part there are two holes 10 for the trunnions with a distance between them L2 = 660 mm and a hole 11 with a diameter D1 = 25 mm for fastening to the starting device 8 at a distance L3 = 297 mm; the front journal 3 has a length of L4 = 120 mm with diameters D2 = 22 mm and D3 = 36 mm and a thread M22 in the section L5 = 40 mm; the rear journal 4 has a length of L6 = 160 mm with diameters D4 = 22 mm and D5 = 36 mm, a longitudinal hole 12 with a depth of L7 = 43 mm and a through hole with a diameter D6 = 6 mm with a thread for fixing screws 9;bushings 5 are made with a diameter D7 = 40 mm with a variable height H2 = 20 and H3 = 17 mm at an angle P = 4° and a through hole 13 with a diameter D8 = 24 mm; in this case, trunnions 3 and 4 are installed in holes 10 of channel 1, equipped with bushings 5 and fixed with nuts 6, and in the bed 1 a through hole 14 is made for fastening the PKT 7; in channel 1 there are through holes 15 with a diameter of 6 mm for fixing screws 9.

[0013] The operating principle of the invention: an adapter is installed on the launch guide 8 (similar to the Shturm-S model) via the front trunnion 3 and rear trunnion 4 in the grooves on the launch guide from the launch container and secured with nuts 6. Bushings 5 allow the adapter to be angled as required for convenient firing. The rear trunnion 4 is additionally secured with screws 9 for its rigid fixation. Next, the PKT 7 is installed in the cradle 1 and secured using hole 15 therein. The electric trigger of the PKT 7 allows firing from a military vehicle, and the firing operator has the ability, using electric motors, to control the launch guide 8, thereby achieving aiming of the small arms at the target. The resulting technical result allows firing from military vehicles depending on the need and tactical situation. The installation of the PKT, thanks to the proposed technical solution, takes no more than 5 minutes and does not require any technical changes to the launch guide, which is another advantage of its use.

[0014] Thus, the invention—an adapter for firing a PKT machine gun from a launcher—is a simple and reliable adapter for mounting a Kalashnikov tank machine gun on a launcher mounted on a military vehicle, allowing for rapid targeting of the barrel and expanding the functionality of the military vehicle depending on combat conditions. The implemented technical solution also enables firing at low-flying UAV targets to destroy them and protect weapons and military equipment.
