Also, when the aerosol-generating article 1000 is placed in the housing 10, it is at least partially placed and held inside the heater 30.
[0047] Further, as shown in Fig. 2, the heater 30 is formed essentially in the form of a longitudinally elongated tube, and includes:
[0048] a tubular substrate 31, wherein the tubular substrate 31 is made of a material with good thermal conductivity, such as ceramics, glass, quartz, etc.; and in use, the substrate 31 at least partially defines a cavity intended to accommodate and hold the aerosol-generating article 1000. The substrate 31 is electrically insulating. In embodiments, the substrate 31 does not include a metal with a simple substance, or the substrate 31 does not include a tube made of a metal with a simple substance, such as an aluminum tube, a stainless steel tube, a copper tube or an alloy, etc. Also, in some embodiments, the tubular substrate 31 has a length of about 15 to 60 mm; and the tubular substrate 31 has an inner diameter of about 5.4 to 7.8 mm.In some specific embodiments, the ceramic substrate 31 may include at least one of aluminum oxide, silicon oxide, boron oxide, zirconium oxide, iron oxide, and other ceramic oxides or ceramic nitrides; and the glass, ceramic substrate 31 has a thermal conductivity of about 1 to 30 W / m.k.
[0049] In some other embodiments, the length of the aerosol generating article 1000 surrounding or enclosing the substrate 31 is greater than 30 mm.
[0050] Further, as shown in Fig. 2, the heater 30 further includes:
[0051] a heating element 32 at least partially surrounding or enclosing a substrate 31; in use, the substrate 31 heats the aerosol-generating article 1000 by receiving or transferring heat from the heating element 32.
[0052] In some embodiments, the heating element 32 includes a resistive heating element; also, the heating element 32 is capable of generating heat by releasing resistive Joule heat when a direct current flows through the heating element 32. Also, in some embodiments, the heating element 32 is made of metallic materials, metallic alloys, graphite, carbon, electrically conductive ceramics or other composite materials of ceramic and metallic materials with corresponding resistances. Here, suitable metallic materials or alloys include at least one of nickel, cobalt, zirconium, titanium, nickel alloys, cobalt alloys, zirconium alloys, titanium alloys, nickel-chromium alloys, nickel-iron alloys, iron-chromium alloys, iron-chromium-aluminum alloys, iron-manganese alloys based on aluminum or stainless steel.Or, in other embodiments, the heating element 32 may further include an electromagnetic induction heating element or an infrared heating element, etc.
[0053] In the above-mentioned embodiments, the heating element 32 and the substrate 31 have mutual thermal conductivity; also, the substrate 31 generates heat by receiving heat from the heating element 32, thereby heating the aerosol-generating article 1000 disposed inside the substrate 31. In this embodiment, the heating element 32 is capable of generating heat itself by resistive Joule heat, or inducing heat generation, etc. Or, in other embodiments, the substrate 31 can transmit infrared radiation, the heating element 32 is an electrically excitable infrared emitting coating, and the electrically excitable infrared emitting coating can penetrate the substrate 31 by emitting infrared rays when a current is supplied until it receives the aerosol-generating article 1000, thereby heating the aerosol-generating article 1000.
[0054] Also, in some embodiments, the infrared emitting coating is composed of an oxide of at least one of metal elements such as Mg, Al, Ti, Zr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Cr, Zn, etc., and the coating based on these metal oxides emits far infrared rays when it can be heated to a suitable temperature when the power is turned on; the thickness of the infrared emitting coating can preferably be controlled in the range of 30 to 50 μm; and the method of forming the infrared emitting coating on the surface of the substrate 31 can be achieved by curing the oxides of the metal elements after atmospheric plasma spraying them onto the outer surface of the tubular substrate 31.
[0055] Or, in other embodiments, the heater 30 may include only the heating element 32, wherein the cavity surrounded or defined by the heating element 32 is used to accommodate the aerosol-generating article 1000 and to transfer heat directly to the aerosol-generating article 1000.
[0056] Further, as shown in Fig. 2 and 3, the heating element 32 is formed in the form of a cylinder surrounding or embracing the substrate 31. Also, the extension size of the heating element 32 in the longitudinal direction of the heater 30 is smaller than the extension size of the substrate 31; for example, in some specific embodiments, the heating element 32 has a length of more than 20-50 mm. In particular, for example, as shown in Fig. 2, the heater 30 includes a first end portion 310 and a second end portion 320, opposite in the longitudinal direction; also, in specific embodiments, the first end portion 310 and the second end portion 320 are limited by both ends of the substrate 31 in the longitudinal direction.
[0057] The heating element 32 and the first end portion 310 have a pitch 313, and the pitch size 313 is approximately 3 to 10 mm; also, the heating element 32 and the second end portion 320 have a pitch 314, and the pitch size 314 is approximately 3 to 10 mm. Also, after assembly, the heating element 32 does not completely surround or cover the outer surface of the substrate 31, so that the outer surface of the substrate 31 has a first open area located near the first end portion 310 and limited by step 313. Also, the outer surface of the substrate 31 has a second open area located near the second end portion 320 and limited by step 314. Also, during assembly, a clamping or supporting element (for example, a PEEK ring, etc.) is provided inside the aerosol generating device 100, in combination with the first open area limited by step 313 and the second open area limited by step 314, to support the heater 30.
[0058] Also, further in the embodiments shown in Fig. 2 and 3, the heating element 32 is a resistive heating layer formed on the outside of the tubular substrate 31 by sputtering, deposition, etc.; in this embodiment, the resistive heating layer is an annular shape at least partially surrounding the substrate 31. Also, in this embodiment, the resistive heating layer is closed in the circumferential direction of the heater 30. Also, in some embodiments, the heating element 32 formed by sputtering or deposition and configured as a resistive heating layer may include a nickel-chromium alloy, a nickel-iron alloy, platinum, tungsten, silver, conductive ceramics, etc. The thickness of the resistive heating layer for the heating element 32 is from about 0.05 to 0.5 mm.Also, in embodiments, it is advantageous to ensure that the resistance value of the resistive heating layer is approximately 0.5 to 3 ohms when the current is directed in the longitudinal direction of the resistive heating layer based on the annular first electrode 371 and the annular second electrode 372 by selecting the material and thickness of the resistive heating layer.
[0059] Also, further as shown in Fig. 2 and 3, the heater 30 further includes:
[0060] a first electrode 371 and a second electrode 372 for supplying power to the heating element 32; the first electrode 371 and the second electrode 372 may be an electrode ring, an electrode cap, or an electrode coating formed by spraying, deposition, etc.; also, the first electrode 371 and the second electrode 372 have a ring shape surrounding the heating element 32; wherein,
[0061] the first electrode 371 is located near the first end 321 of the heating element 32, and at least partially surrounds the heating element 32, and contacts the heating element 32 to form a conductive connection; also, the second electrode 372 is located near the second end 322 of the heating element 32, and at least partially surrounds the heating element 32, and contacts the heating element 32 to form a conductive connection; the first electrode 371 is connected to the printed circuit board 140 by soldering the conductive terminal 331, and the second electrode 372 is connected to the printed circuit board 140 by soldering the conductive terminal 332, thereby directing the current in the longitudinal direction of the heating element 32.
[0062] Also, in the embodiments, it is advantageous to ensure that the resistance value of the heating element 32 is approximately 0.5 to 3 ohms when the current is directed in the longitudinal direction of the heating element 32 based on the annular first electrode 371 and the annular second electrode 372 by selecting the material and thickness of the heating element 32.
[0063] Or, in other embodiments, the heating element 32 may further include a heating mesh wound or wrapped around the substrate 31.
[0064] Also, further as shown in Fig. 2 and 3, the heater 30 further includes:
[0065] temperature sensor 34, for example, a PT1000 thermistor temperature sensor, a thermocouple, etc., connected to the heating element 32, and designed to detect the temperature of the heating element 32 and / or the heater 30.
[0066] Also, in this embodiment, the connection location of the temperature sensor 34 and the heating element 32, or its temperature measuring location, is substantially in a position located in the longitudinal center of the heating element 32; or, the distance between the connection location of the temperature sensor 34 and the heating element 32 and the first end 321 of the heating element 32 is approximately 1 / 3 to 1 / 3 of the length of the heating element 32. In some specific embodiments, the connection location of the temperature sensor 34 and the heating element 32 is substantially near or in the longitudinal center of the heating element 32, so that the temperature sensor 34 is almost located in the region of the highest temperature of the heating element 32. For example, Fig. 4 shows a diagram of the temperature field distribution during the operation of the heating element 32 sprayed with a resistive heating layer from Fig.4 it can be seen that the region of the highest temperature of the heating element 32 is located substantially near or in the longitudinal center, and the temperature in the central region is significantly higher than the temperature in the regions close to both ends.
[0067] Also, in some other embodiments, the heater 30 further includes:
[0068] a surface insulating layer formed on the outside of the heating element 32 and / or the first electrode 371 and / or the second electrode 372 by spraying, or deposition, or coating, etc., thereby providing their insulation on the outer surface of the heater 30. In some embodiments, the surface insulating layer is a glaze layer, etc., formed by spraying or deposition, etc.
[0069] Or, Fig. 5 shows a diagram of a heater 30 according to another embodiment, in which the heater 30 includes:
[0070] an electrically insulating substrate 31a, formed in the form of a tube surrounding or limiting a cavity; also, the substrate 31a has a third end portion 310a and a fourth end portion 320a, opposite in the longitudinal direction;
[0071] a resistive heating track 32a adhered to the outer surface of the substrate 31a by screen printing, spraying or deposition, etc.; the resistive heating track 32a extends reciprocally or bends at the first end 321a and the second end 322a; also, the two ends of the resistive heating track 32a are connected to the printed circuit board 140 by soldering the terminal, etc., thereby generating heat by resistive Joule heat when a direct current flows.
[0072] Also, the resistive heating track 32a is a tortuous track; and the substrate 31a has a blank region 311a, limited by the resistive heating track 32a on the outer surface of the substrate 31a, for installing a temperature sensor, etc.
[0073] Also, further in the embodiments, the substrate 31 / 31a made of ceramic, glass and quartz has a tube wall thickness of 0.1 to 0.2 mm, and is more sensitive to the control of increasing or decreasing the temperature in the process of heating the substrate 31 / 32a.
[0074] Also, in some embodiments, the substrate 31 / 31a having the above-mentioned specific wall thickness cannot be manufactured by the currently commonly used molding, mechanical punching, etc. methods. Next, Fig. 6 is a diagram showing the manufacturing of an ultra-thin substrate 31 / 31a having a tube wall thickness of 0.1 to 0.2 mm according to one embodiment; in the embodiment shown in Fig. 6, the substrate 31 / 31a obtained by injection molding a ceramic raw material into a mold is ground from the outer circle surface by centerless cylindrical external grinding to reduce the wall thickness, thereby achieving a wall thickness of 0.1 to 0.2 mm.Here, the above-mentioned "centerless external cylindrical grinding" is a mechanical processing term, and in the field of mechanical processing, it is a grinding method in which, on a centerless external cylindrical grinding machine, a workpiece is placed directly between a grinding wheel and a guide wheel, and supported by a support plate and / or a guide wheel, and then the ground surface of the outer circle of the workpiece itself is used as a reference positioning plane for the external cylindrical grinding of the workpiece. For example, in the embodiment shown in Fig. 6, the substrate 31 / 31a is ground from the outer circle surface of the substrate 31 / 31a by the grinding wheel 1 and the grinding wheel 2 of the centerless external cylindrical grinding machine; also, the substrate 31 / 31a is supported and guided for rotation by the support plate and / or the guide wheel 4 of the centerless external cylindrical grinding machine.
[0075] After grinding the outer circle surface of the substrate 31 / 31a on a centerless external cylindrical grinding machine, the tubular substrate 31 / 31a having a wall thickness of more than 0.6 mm, obtained after injection molding of ceramic raw materials and sintering, is ground to a wall thickness of 0.1 to 0.2 mm.
[0076] Or, in some embodiments, for example, in Fig. 7, a diagram of grinding processing is shown, which can also be performed on a centerless internal cylindrical grinding machine, by inserting or pulling out at least one grinding wheel into the substrate 31 / 31a; grinding is performed by inserting the grinding wheel 1a into the substrate 31 / 31a and fixing it to the surface of the inner circle of the substrate 31 / 31a, and by fixing the grinding wheel 2a to the surface of the outer circle of the substrate 31 / 31a. Also, when processing on a centerless internal cylindrical grinding machine, the substrate 31 / 31a is supported and guided to rotate by the guide wheel 4a and the guide wheel 5a. A tubular substrate 31 / 31a having a wall thickness of more than 0.6 mm, obtained after injection molding of ceramic raw materials and sintering, is ground to a wall thickness of 0.1 to 0.2 mm on a centerless internal cylindrical grinding machine.
[0077] Next, in the embodiments, in accordance with the three-point bending strength test standard (GBT6569-2006), a strength test of the alumina ceramic substrate 31 / 31a having a tube wall thickness of 0.18 mm and the alumina ceramic substrate 31 / 31a having a tube wall thickness of 0.6 mm is carried out using a three-point bending strength testing apparatus; among the three-point bending strength test results, the strength inspection results at the upper end point, the midpoint, and the lower end point are shown in the following table: Results of three-point bending strength test Substrate 31 / 31a made of alumina ceramics with a tube wall thickness of 0.6 mm Substrate 31 / 31a made of alumina ceramics with a tube wall thickness of 0.18 mm Number of tests Upper end point Midpoint Lower end point Number of tests Upper end point Midpoint Lower end point 1 228,1 386,1 155 1 59,8 133,7 54,1 2 237 404,5 179,1 2 52,2 101,1 68,2 3 224,4 332 241,8 3 52,8 133,8 45,7 4 253,8 380 170,3 4 67,1 136,8 51,6 5 254,7 314,1 154,8 5 61,3 136,3 62,1 Average / N 239,6 363,3 180,2 Average / N 58,64 128,34 56,34
[0078] In the above-mentioned three-point bending strength tests, a significant decrease in the strength of the substrate 31 / 31a using a 0.6mm-thick ceramic tube produced by direct injection molding and sintering of raw materials was observed after the substrate 31 / 31a using the ceramic tube was thinned to a tube wall thickness of 0.18mm by circular grinding. Moreover, for the heating element 32 deposited or sprayed with a resistive heating layer or track, it is also possible to maintain the compressive strength at all test points of the thinned substrate 31 / 31a at a level of more than 40 N.
[0079] Also, Fig. 8 is a temperature rise curve showing the heating process of the heater 30 using the alumina ceramic substrate 31 / 31a having a tube wall thickness of 0.18 mm and the alumina ceramic substrate 31 / 31a having a tube wall thickness of 0.6 mm according to one embodiment; in comparison with Fig. 8, the substrate 31 / 31a has an inner diameter of 5.7 mm, a length of 49 mm, and a power of 30 W supplied to the heater 30. From the comparison results shown in Fig. 8, it can be seen that the temperature rise time of the alumina ceramic substrate 31 / 31a having a tube wall thickness of 0.18 mm from room temperature to a target temperature of 320°C is about 29 seconds; the time it takes to increase the temperature of the 31 / 31a alumina ceramic substrate with a tube wall thickness of 0.6 mm from room temperature to the target temperature of 320°C is about 48 sec.Furthermore, heater 40 using alumina ceramic substrate 31 / 31a with a tube wall thickness of 0.18 mm exhibits higher temperature sensitivity. The temperature rise time of alumina ceramic substrate 31 / 31a with a tube wall thickness of 0.18 mm from room temperature to the target temperature of 320°C is less than 30 seconds.
[0080] Next, Fig. 9 is a diagram showing a heating curve diagram of the aerosol-generating article 1000 for a predetermined heating time in one embodiment. Here, as shown in Fig. 9, the predetermined time is set based on the amount of aerosol generated by the aerosol-generating article 1000 and the inhalation duration (for example, 4 minutes) adopted by the user; and the heating curve having the predetermined time includes:
[0081] Time S1 (time interval 0-t1, such as about 10 sec): preheating from room temperature to the first target temperature T1; the first target temperature is, for example, 350°C;
[0082] Time S2 (time interval t1-t2, for example, about 5 sec): decrease the temperature from the first target temperature T1 to the second target temperature T2; the second target temperature is, for example, 320°C;
[0083] Time S3 (time interval t2-t3, for example, about 230 seconds): the aerosol generating article 1000 is stably heated at the second target temperature T2 to generate an inhalable aerosol; after inhalation is completed, the power supply to the heater 30 is stopped to allow it to cool naturally.
[0084] Also, in still some embodiments of the present application, the heater 30 using the alumina ceramic substrate 31 / 31a having a tube wall thickness of 0.6 mm and the heater 30 using the alumina ceramic substrate 31 / 31a thinned to a tube wall thickness of 0.18 mm by circular grinding heat the same aerosol-generating article 1000 according to the heating curve with a given time shown in Fig. 9, and the results of the comparison of energy consumption are shown in the following table. Comparison of energy consumption when heating an aerosol-generating product 1000 Substrate 31 / 31a made of alumina ceramics with a tube wall thickness of 0.6 mm Substrate 31 / 31a made of alumina ceramics with a tube wall thickness of 0.18 mm Number of tests Output power, mWh Energy consumption, J Number of tests Output power, mWh Energy consumption, J 1 185,32 667,15 1 181,94 589,5 2 184,68 664,85 2 182,44 591,1 3 184,05 662,58 3 182,70 591,95 4 184,41 663,88 4 182,15 590,17 5 183,12 658,98 5 183,12 593,31 Avg. 184,32 663,49 Avg. 182,47 591,2
[0085] As can be seen from the above comparison of power consumption, when heating the aerosol generating article 1000 according to a predetermined temperature curve with a heating and inhalation duration of about 240 seconds, the power consumption of the heater 30 using the alumina ceramic substrate 31 / 31a having a tube wall thickness of 0.18 mm has a lower power consumption, approximately 60-70 J less than the power consumption of the heater 30 using the alumina ceramic substrate 31 / 31a having a tube wall thickness of 0.6 mm; the heater 30 using the thinned substrate 31 / 31a having a tube wall thickness of less than 0.2 mm contributes to reducing the power consumption.
[0086] Or, Fig. 10 shows a diagram of manufacturing a heater 30 using a substrate 31 / 31a having a tube wall thickness of less than 0.2 mm according to another embodiment; the manufacturing method of the heater 30 shown in Fig. 10 includes:
[0087] obtaining raw materials such as ceramic powder, glass powder, quartz powder, etc. used to form the substrate 31 / 31a, and mixing the raw materials with a liquid auxiliary additive required for the film casting technology to form a flowable slurry;
[0088] film casting of suspension by means of film casting equipment to form a thin film 31b with a thickness of less than 0.2mm;
[0089] printing or depositing or spraying a resistive heating layer or a trajectory heating element 32 on a thin film 31b formed by film casting;
[0090] winding a thin film 31b in the form of a tube on the outside of a tubular article, and sintering it to form a substrate 31 / 31a having a tube wall thickness of less than 0.2 mm.
[0091] It should be noted that the description and drawings of this application show the best embodiments of the invention, but are not limited to the embodiments described in the description; further, specialists in this field can make various modifications and changes to this application, but all such modifications and changes must be within the scope of protection of this application.
