Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to the field of construction, in particular to seismic protection elements for increasing the seismic resistance of buildings.
[0002] The use of a seismic isolation support as part of the structural system of an isolated object ensures a reduction in dynamic impacts transmitted to the above-ground part of the building during periods of seismic activity of the earth's crust.
[0003] A seismic isolation support is known (M.Ch. Apsemetov, A.Zh. Andyshev Development of reliable and technologically advanced designs of seismic isolation supports made of elastic, plastic and antifriction materials / / journal "Bulletin of the Kyrgyz State University of Civil Engineering, Transport and Architecture named after N. Isanov". - No. 3, 2012, p. 86), which contains upper, lower and intermediate steel plates, between which fluoropolymer sheets are placed. The support operates due to the sliding of steel plates along fluoropolymer gaskets relative to each other under seismic impact.
[0004] The disadvantages of this solution include low damping efficiency, in addition, the friction coefficient of the intermediate layers depends on the condition of the contact surfaces, their wear and contamination, which can lead to changes in the operation of the support during operation and a limited possibility of restoring functionality.
[0005] A variant of a seismic isolation support (RU No. 150738, E02D 27 / 34, 20.02.2015) is known. It comprises a support element located through a friction layer and interacting with elastic and plastic structural elements. When inertial loads arise in the friction layer, dry friction occurs during reciprocating motion, which partially dissipates vibration energy and reduces stresses in the protected structure due to changes in the shape of the elastic and plastic elements.
[0006] The disadvantages of this solution include: the concentration of forces in the areas where the elastic and plastic elements are attached to the support part; increased structural complexity of manufacture and installation due to the use of bent elastic elements and friction layers with a constant friction coefficient; reduced maintainability and difficulty in servicing the support elements during operation.
[0007] The closest match to the claimed invention is a support component (SU No. 1162886, E01D 19 / 04, June 23, 1985), comprising upper and lower support plates, between which a flexible support table is placed, formed by vertically arranged rods or plates. The flexible support table is pivotally connected to the upper support plate and installed between the upper and lower parts of the structure. When the aboveground portion of the structure vibrates, horizontal inertial loads are transferred from the upper support plate through the hinged connection and the flexible support table to the lower support plate.
[0008] The disadvantages of this solution include: limited energy dissipation efficiency due to the fact that damping is based primarily on the elastic operation of the flexible support table elements. As a result, seismic vibration energy is primarily accumulated in the deformations of the elements rather than dissipated, which limits the effectiveness of reducing dynamic loads; low maintainability due to the fact that damage to the flexible support table elements requires dismantling the entire support part, without the possibility of local replacement of the damping elements.
[0009] The proposed invention is aimed at achieving a technical result consisting in increasing the effect of damping seismic vibrations.
[0010] To achieve the stated technical result, the proposed seismic isolation support comprises a support table with vertically arranged plates. A support table with vertically arranged plates, shaped like triangular gussets, is mounted between two support rings. Stiffening ribs rest on the upper surface of the support table. The interior of the support ring is filled with frictional bulk material.
[0011] The metal vertical plates of the support table are evenly distributed around the circumference.
[0012] The friction bulk material is made in the form of a sand and gravel mixture.
[0013] The stiffening ribs of the support table are arranged radially.
[0014] The support table's design, with evenly spaced vertical metal plates shaped like triangular gussets and supported by stiffening ribs on the upper surface of the support table, reduces the dynamic interaction between the foundation and the building's aboveground structure during seismic impacts, resulting in reduced horizontal inertial loads. Filling the interior of the lower support ring with frictional bulk material generates dry friction forces during the relative movements of the structural elements, ensuring effective dissipation of seismic energy.
[0015] Metal vertical plates are evenly spaced around the circumference of the support table. Their number is selected based on the design operational load and seismic design parameters.
[0016] The stiffening ribs are connected to the top surface of the support table and are arranged radially. The upper portion of the stiffening ribs is enclosed in a support ring, which is rigidly connected to the support plate to support the loads from the above-ground part of the building.
[0017] A sand and gravel mixture is used as a friction bulk material filling the internal space of the lower support ring, which is located in a closed volume, preventing the mixture from being washed out or redistributed during operation.
[0018] The arrangement of metal vertical plates around the circumference of the support table ensures a more uniform distribution of forces and reduces the uneven deformation of the support part.
[0019] Using sand and gravel mixture as a friction bulk material helps to improve the efficiency of friction damping by increasing the contact area of the mixture particles and the set of metal plates.
[0020] The structural elements of the proposed seismic isolator support are made of stainless steel, or when made of corrosion-resistant construction steels, they are coated with an anti-corrosion compound that provides protection against corrosion when used in conditions of high humidity and low temperatures.

[0029] The presented 3D models of the seismic isolation support include an assembly of structural parts and elements.
[0030] The seismic isolation support (Fig. 1) comprises an upper support ring 1 attached to a support plate 2 connected to the building load-bearing structures of the above-ground part 3. The upper support ring 1 rests on stiffening ribs 4 oriented vertically and arranged along a circle, resting with their lower edges on the lower support ring 5 and the upper surface of the support table 6. The stiffening ribs 4 are intended to perceive vertical loads and to participate in the operation of the supporting part under horizontal seismic impact. A support table 6 is located along the outer contour of the lower support ring 5, intended to increase the contact area and to perceive the movements of the stiffening ribs 4. The support table 6 is provided with metal vertical plates made in the form of triangular gussets 7, providing increased rigidity and stability of the support table 6 under dynamic impact.
[0031] The interior space of the seismic isolation support, bounded by the upper support ring 1, stiffeners 4, and lower support ring 5, is filled with frictional bulk material 8, such as a sand and gravel mixture. The lower edge of the support ring 5 is rigidly fixed to the support plate 2, which is installed on the supporting structure 9, such as a foundation or base plate.
[0032] The proposed seismic isolation support is used as part of the foundation of a building and is installed between the structures of the above-ground part 3 and the building load-bearing structure 9, which belongs to the foundation of the building (Fig. 1).
[0033] During normal operation, vertical loads from the weight of the above-ground structure 3 are transferred through support plate 2 and upper support ring 1 to stiffeners 4, then to lower support ring 5 with support plate 2 and to the supporting structures 9, which constitute the foundation. In this case, the support structure operates primarily in vertical load transfer mode without significant relative displacement of the elements, while minor displacements from horizontal wind loads are permitted.
[0034] When a seismic impact occurs, horizontal vibrations of the foundation 9 are excited, resulting in relative horizontal displacements between the above-ground portion 3 and the foundation 9. Under these conditions, the upper support ring 1, together with the structures of the above-ground portion 3, shifts relative to the lower support ring 5 and the supporting structure 9, which is the foundation or support slab.
[0035] During this displacement, stiffeners 4 interact with support table 6, located along the outer contour of lower support ring 5. Metal vertical plates 7 and support table 6 provide spatial rigidity and stability in the perception of horizontal forces of lower support ring 5, limiting its amplitude of displacement and preventing the loss of stability of structural elements. Simultaneously, in the internal space of lower support ring 5, filled with frictional bulk material 8, relative displacements occur between the bulk material particles and the contacting surfaces of stiffeners 4 and support rings 1 and 5. As a result, dry friction forces are realized, ensuring the dissipation of seismic vibration energy and reducing inertial loads transmitted to the superstructure.
[0036] The claimed invention is easy to manufacture and can be used in various climatic regions, including regions with harsh climates and complex engineering and geological conditions, for example, in areas where permafrost soils are widespread.
