Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to the field of gardening equipment and can be used in devices for mowing grass.
[0002] An electric lawn mower is known, comprising a housing with wheels, a cutting working element and an electric drive motor placed in it, a handle with controls for the electric motor RU 2578479, adopted by the applicant as a prototype, as well as patents US 5910091, 5806374, JP 3776772 and many others.
[0003] A common drawback of the prototype and other well-known lawn mowers is their limited operational capabilities. Commercials showing the operation of well-known lawn mowers portray the process and the operator as a pleasant stroll. However, in real life, it's not so pleasant. It's summer, hot, sweat runs down your eyes and down your collar, and there are angry horseflies. When the temperature drops, mosquitoes swarm and bite, and even worse, these midges crawl into your mouth, eyes, and ears, biting more painfully than mosquitoes. Therefore, the operator is forced to fend off this entire bloodsucking swarm with one hand and operate the mower with the other. Operating a lawn mower with one hand is difficult and difficult because you must simultaneously hold the handle and the electric motor control handle, push the mower forward, and adjust its movement relative to the edge of the mown grass. Moreover, it is unsafe because its sharp cutting tool rotates at high speed.Spraying various chemicals offers little protection against bloodsuckers, and they don't reduce the heat. It's cool at night, but dark, and mosquitoes and gnats are more plentiful than during the day. Given all these problems, people often put off using the lawn mower until the indefinite future, when the weather changes, the heat subsides, and the wind blows away the mosquitoes and gnats. Therefore, in real life, mowing the lawn is more of an unpleasant chore than a pleasant stroll. This inevitably and significantly reduces the performance of conventional electric lawn mowers, reducing productivity.
[0004] The purpose of the proposed invention is to eliminate or mitigate the shortcomings of known technical solutions. The technical problem solved by the proposed invention is to create an artificially directed air flow that carries bloodsuckers away from a person operating an electric lawn mower and cools them, as well as to enable the use of the lawn mower during cooler, darker hours of the day.
[0005] The solution to the technical problem and the achievement of the technical result is ensured by the fact that the electric lawn mower is equipped with a fan, an electric fumigator, a fan holder, a lamp, a lamp holder and switches.
[0006] The proposed electric lawn mower differs from the prior art in a combination of distinctive features set forth in the inventive claims. Specifically, the electric lawn mower is equipped with a fan, an electric fumigator, a fan holder, a light, a light holder, and switches. The variable-speed fan is housed in a protective grille housing with a spring clamp for the electric fumigator and secured to one end of the holder. The other end of the holder is secured by a spring clamp with a handle and is flexible, allowing for adjustable fan positioning and self-locking.
[0007] The directional light fixture in front of the lawn mower is connected to a second flexible holder, the second end of which is attached to the handle by means of a spring clamp.
[0008] The picture shows an electric lawn mower.
[0009] The electric lawn mower comprises a housing 1 with wheels 2, in which a sharp cutting working element driven by an AC or DC electric motor is located, as well as a mechanism for adjusting the height of grass cutting (not shown in the figure for the sake of simplicity). A removable grass catcher 3 and a handle 4 with a mechanism 5 for adjusting the angle of inclination and a handle 6 for controlling the electric motor of the working element drive are attached to the housing 1. A fan 7 with an adjustable rotation speed is made in a lattice protective housing with a spring clamp 8 for installing an electric fumigator 9, and with a switch 10, connected to the upper end of a holder 11, and its lower end is attached to the handle 4 by means of a spring clamp 12. The holder 11 is made flexible, with the possibility of manual adjustment of the position of the fan 7 and self-fixation of the selected position.Lamp 13 with switch 14 is attached to handle 4 via flexible holder 15 with a spring clamp, configured to direct the light beam in front of the lawn mower and adjust its position. The fan and lamp are connected via their switches to the electric motor power terminal box. The lawn mower operates electric. In hot weather, the lawn mower operates with fan 7 turned on. Flexible holder 11 adjusts the fan so that the air flow it creates is directed toward the face and chest of the person operating the lawn mower. The adjustable air flow created by the fan drives bloodsuckers away from the person and simultaneously cools their face and chest, providing favorable working conditions in unfavorable external conditions. In the event of an attack by a large number of mosquitoes and midges, an electric fumigator 9 is turned on.During very hot summer periods, the proposed lawn mower can be used to mow grass even in the dark, cool hours of the day with lamp 13 turned on.
[0010] Thus, the proposed electric lawn mower, compared to the prototype, significantly expands its operational capabilities in a variety of adverse weather conditions. Productivity is increased, while harmful and unpleasant external influences on the operator are significantly reduced. Their well-being and mood are improved, transforming an unpleasant chore into a truly enjoyable stroll. The implementation of a relatively simple and inexpensive technical solution ensures a noticeable increase in the lawn mower's efficiency.
[0011] The above is confirmed by the author’s experience, who has been using the electric lawn mower he proposed and made at his dacha since the beginning of the dacha season this year.
