Description

[0001] Field of technology to which the invention relates

[0002] The invention relates to technology for eliminating the consequences of possible accidents with ammunition, namely their neutralization (disassembly for the purpose of safe separation of harmful and explosive substances).

[0003] Rendering a damaged product harmless primarily involves cutting (opening) its assembly units and body parts, followed by the extraction and separation of hazardous components. The system can also be used to cut any other products consisting of metals and non-metals.

[0004] State of the art

[0005] A method of chemical milling is known (RU patent No. 2270961, published on 02 / 27 / 2006, bulletin No. 6), which is based on etching the body elements of the product with special solutions in order to separate them.

[0006] The disadvantage of this method is low productivity, the duration of the neutralization process, the need to use gas masks and special PPE, as well as limitations on the ambient air temperature when using the method.

[0007] A known method of neutralization using a cumulative charge (RU patent No. 2496092, published on October 20, 2013, bulletin No. 29) is based on cutting the body of the product using a cumulative knife formed when an extended cumulative charge is triggered.

[0008] The disadvantage of this method is the possibility that the pressure at the “housing-explosive” interface may exceed the critical pressure for initiating detonation of the explosive, which will lead to its explosion.

[0009] A well-known waterjet cutting method (RU patent no. 2246691, published February 20, 2005) and installation (DE patent 4221661, published January 27, 1994) are based on cutting shell components using a high-pressure water jet containing abrasive materials. When cutting the munition into pieces and extracting the explosive, solid particles are introduced into the liquid jet, with the velocity of the solid particles determined by a specific ratio. This method is highly productive.

[0010] The disadvantages of this method are the difficulty of controlling the cutting depth of the damaged product and the uncontrolled impact of the jet on the critical elements of the product located inside the body being cut.

[0011] The set of features most closely related to the set of essential features of the proposed invention relates to a cluster munition orientation unit during its clearance (Patent RU2406068, published 10.12.2010, Bulletin No. 34), comprising a cradle containing a frame, vertical posts and a mechanism for fixing the munition in a given position, a mechanism for rotating the munition, a table, sensors for determining the location of the munition's structural element used for its clearance, mounted in a rotating holder pivotally attached to the cradle frame, and a lock. The unit ensures reliable orientation and fixation of the disposed cluster munitions relative to the equipment and tool at each technological operation during their clearance.

[0012] The prototype's shortcomings include the lack of a drive unit for cutting the munition with a diamond wire and a mechanism for separating the cut parts. The munition's rotation roller also lacks the ability to move transversely, allowing for the insertion of munitions of varying diameters. Furthermore, there is no provision for remote control or video monitoring, which would ensure the safety of the munitions disposal process. Furthermore, it is important that the system be disassemblable and transportable, allowing for munitions disposal in the field. Furthermore, the prototype lacks a cutting zone cooling system to reduce its temperature, which could be critical if the product contains explosives.

[0013] Disclosure of the essence of the invention

[0014] The technical result achieved by the claimed invention is the expansion of functional capabilities while increasing safety.

[0015] The specified technical result is achieved due to the fact that in the installation for orienting and cutting ammunition during the process of rendering harmless, including a bed, vertical posts, a mechanism for fixing ammunition in a given position, a mechanism for rotating ammunition, a table, sensors for determining the location of the structural element of the ammunition, what is new is that guides are installed on the table, on which two trolleys are placed with lower rollers with locks and a drive connected to one of the trolleys by means of a screw pair, with the possibility of moving the trolleys along the guides, and upper rollers that move perpendicular to the guides, supports are fixed on the trolleys, removable semi-cylindrical brackets are installed on the supports, on the inner part of which spring-loaded rollers are placed, in turn, the bed consists of two semi-cylindrical parts, each of which is detachable, inside the parts of the bed, as product locks, adjustable stops are located, the parts of the bed are located in the area formed by a trolley with upper rollers, a support and a bracket with spring-loaded rollers, a unit for cutting ammunition is fixed in the table, consisting of a system with guides, a drive and tension rollers, along which a diamond wire is placed, while the cutting line of the diamond wire passes between the trolleys perpendicular to the axis of the bed, the guide rollers are installed with the possibility of movement along the vertical posts, an electric drive is connected to the drive roller, a cooling system for the cutting zone is attached to the vertical post.

[0016] The installation can be equipped with a video surveillance system and a control panel.

[0017] The cooling system may consist of a flexible nozzle, a pipeline, a tap, a pump, a coolant tank, and a tray for collecting used coolant.

[0018] 1. The table is fitted with guides supporting two trolleys with lower rollers fitted with locking devices and a drive connected to one of the trolleys via a screw pair. The trolleys can be moved along the guides, allowing for the separation of cut parts of the munition, including remotely, and the trolleys to be locked in position, thereby increasing the efficiency and safety of the work.

[0019] 2. The placement of upper rollers on the trolley, which move perpendicular to the guides, allows for the installation of ammunition of different diameters, increasing the range of products that can be cut.

[0020] 3. The trolleys are equipped with supports, and removable semi-cylindrical brackets are mounted on the supports. Spring-loaded rollers are located on the inside of the brackets, which secure the ammunition tray and prevent it from tipping over, thereby increasing the safety of the defuse process.

[0021] 4. The design of the cradle consists of two semi-cylindrical parts, each detachable, allowing the ammunition to be mounted on one of the semi-cylindrical parts on the mounting table, and then secured with the second semi-cylindrical cradle, thereby increasing the ease of securing the cradle.

[0022] 5. Adjustable axes are located inside the housing sections as product clamps, allowing for the clamping of products with deviations from cylindrical shape (for example, ammunition with a deformed outer casing), thereby increasing the range of ammunition that can be cut and the technological efficiency of the operation.

[0023] 6. The table is equipped with a cutting unit for ammunition, consisting of a system with guides, a drive roller, and a tension roller, along which a diamond wire is placed. This allows for cutting metals and non-metals, including explosives, without ignition or explosion, thereby increasing the safety and range of ammunition being cut.

[0024] 7. The diamond wire cutting line runs between the trolleys perpendicular to the axis of the bed, allowing the munition to be divided into two parts, which are secured in the trolleys, thereby increasing the safety and efficiency of cutting.

[0025] 8. Guide rollers are mounted with the ability to move along the vertical posts, which allows for adjustment of the cutting depth, thereby increasing the precision and technological effectiveness of cutting.

[0026] 9. Attaching an electric drive to the drive roller allows for remote control, thereby increasing the efficiency and safety of cutting.

[0027] 10. Attaching the cooling system to a vertical post near the cutting area to supply coolant to the cutting area to reduce temperature increases cutting safety if the product contains explosives.

[0028] These features taken together ensure the achievement of the claimed technical result.

[0036] Implementation of the invention

[0037] An example of a specific implementation is the design of a diamond cutting system developed for rendering a damaged product harmless by cutting its load-bearing casing using a wire with diamond bits, followed by the extraction and separation of hazardous components and parts, as well as for any other products consisting of metals and non-metals. The system is equipped with a video surveillance system, cooling, and a remote control system that allows for the operation of all system components.

[0038] This installation consists of a table 1 made of collapsible Hilti profiles, which is its base, guides 2 are placed on the table, which are used as channels, trolleys 3,4 are placed on the guides, which are equipped with lower rollers with locks 5 for moving along the guides, both trolleys 3,4 are equipped with upper rollers 6, which move perpendicular to the guides 2, on which are placed lodgements 7, 8, consisting of two semi-cylindrical parts, inside the parts of lodgements 7, 8, as product locks, adjustable stops 9 are located. An electric drive 10 is installed to one of the upper rollers 6 of trolley 3 for rotating the lodgement 7 around its axis. An electric drive 11 is fixed to trolley 3 for expanding the cut product due to a screw pair.Supports 12 are fixed on trolleys 3, 4, removable semi-cylindrical brackets 13, 14 are mounted on the supports, on the inner part of which spring-loaded rollers 15 are placed, which fix the trays 7, 8 with ammunition and prevent it from tipping over. In table 1, an ammunition cutting unit is fixed, consisting of a system with guide rollers 16, a drive wheel 17 and a tension roller 18, along which a diamond wire 19 is placed, while the cutting line of the diamond wire passes between trolleys 3, 4 perpendicular to the axis of the trays 7, 8, the guide rollers 16 are mounted with the possibility of movement along the vertical posts, an electric drive 20 is connected to the drive wheel 18, a cooling system for the cutting zone is attached to the vertical post.

[0039] Operating principle of the unit:

[0040] - product 23 is installed on the stops 9 of the semi-cylindrical parts of the supports 3, 4, previously placed on the upper rollers of the bogies 6 (Fig. 2, a). Then the second part of the semi-cylindrical supports is installed and secured with screws.

[0041] - The position of the upper rollers 6, which are part of the bogies 3, 4, is adjusted by turning the screws 21 of the bogies 3, 4 using the handle 22. Screw 21 has a right-hand thread at one end and a left-hand thread at the other. This ensures that the position of the upper rollers 6 is adjusted in pairs.

[0042] - Semi-cylindrical brackets 13,14 are installed on bogies 3,4 using bolted connections. Spring-loaded rollers 15 are inserted into the upper portion of brackets 13,14, which additionally secure the product 23 and do not impede its rotation (Fig. 2,b).

[0043] - carry out the necessary adjustment of rollers 6 and a control check of the rotation of the product around its axis (Fig. 2, b).

[0044] - thread the diamond wire 19 through the guide rollers 16, the drive wheel 17 and the tension roller 18. By moving the guide rollers 16 along the vertical posts 28 made from Hilti profiles, the cutting depth of the product is adjusted (Fig. 3).

[0045] - Using a pump and hose, water is supplied through nozzles 24, which are directed at the cutting area. The water supply can be turned on as needed (Fig. 3).

[0046] - the movement of the diamond wire occurs due to the drive 20, which through the cardan shaft 25 sets in motion the drive wheel 17 (Figure 4).

[0047] - One of the trolleys houses a drive 10 for rotating the workpiece being cut. It is connected via a gear transmission to one of the upper rollers of the trolley 6, allowing the workpiece to rotate around its longitudinal axis. Thus, simultaneously with the movement of the diamond wire 19, the workpiece can rotate around its longitudinal axis, ensuring a uniform cut across the entire diameter of the workpiece (Figure 4).

[0048] - The extension drive 11 is used to separate the cut parts of the product. The extension drive 11, using the lead screw 26 and the stop 27, ensures the movement of the trolley along the guides 2 (Figure 4).

[0049] Thus, the diamond cutting machine is a means for using the method of cutting ammunition using a diamond-coated rope, as well as any other metal and non-metal products.

[0050] Based on the results of a series of tests, the method's safety and effectiveness in cutting full-scale explosives, even in damaged conditions, were established. Stress-strain state calculations of the bandages and bogies were performed, and they were also tested under load.

[0051] Reliability assessments of the installation's design have been completed, according to which the lower confidence limit of the reliability indicator with a confidence level of 0.8 is 0.99002. These assessments have shown that the equipment set maintains its strength and functionality, ensuring the safety of operations.

[0052] The diamond cutting unit is disassemblable and includes a universal kit of trolleys, tires, brackets, fasteners, and a table with vertical supports made of Hilti 28 profiles. This kit allows for secure and safe attachment of the damaged product and remote separation of cut parts. The unit is disassemblable, repairable, and does not require separate production facilities, making it suitable for field use.

[0053] This installation is safe when cutting an emergency product, provided that the optimal cutting modes, rope speed, rope pressing force and water consumption for irrigating the cutting area are observed.
