Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to mechanical engineering, and specifically to piston internal combustion engines.
[0002] An internal combustion engine is known, see USSR author's certificate SU No. 1670156 A1, F01B 3 / 02 dated 15.08.1991, comprising a housing with an internal volume, an output shaft, a ball with a disk interacting with it, connecting rods, piston groups installed in a circle in the housing, wherein the disk is pivotally connected by lugs to the connecting rods of the piston groups.
[0003] The disadvantage of the above technical solutions is the complexity of the design and low efficiency.
[0004] The objective of the invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned disadvantages.
[0005] The specified problem is solved due to the fact that the internal volume of the housing is made spherical and consists of two opposite spherical belts with inserts installed on them, between which a ball is placed, with the possibility of rotation, with a disk fixed on its perimeter, on the planes of which toothed and support circular tracks are installed on both sides, and the mating tracks for contact are made on the upper and lower parts of the inner surface of the housing, while perpendicular to the plane of the disk, a semi-axle is fixed on the top of the ball, connected by a journal to the crank of the flywheel of the output shaft, passing through a bearing installed in the cover of the housing.
[0006] The proposed internal combustion engine design improves efficiency and fuel economy while reducing metal consumption. The increased piston stroke in this engine, compared to conventional piston engines, will positively impact many of its technical characteristics.
[0007] The essence of the invention is explained by the drawing, where Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section of the proposed engine / without a valve-distribution mechanism / .
[0008] Fig. 2 - section A-A of Fig. 1;
[0009] in Fig. 3 - section B-B of Fig. 2;
[0010] in Fig. 4 - section B-B of Fig. 3;
[0011] in Fig. 5 - section G-G of Fig. 1;
[0012] in Fig. 6 - view D of Fig. 1
[0013] The proposed internal combustion engine (Fig. 1) contains a housing 1 with an internal spherical volume and consists of two opposite spherical belts with liners 2 and 3 installed on them and a ball 4 placed between them, with the possibility of rotation, with a disk 5 fixed to its perimeter, on the planes of which toothed 6 and support 7 circular tracks are installed on both sides, and the mating tracks for contact are made on the upper 8 and 9 and lower parts 10 and 11 of the inner surface of the housing, wherein the disk 5 is pivotally connected by lugs to the connecting rods 12, piston 13, sleeve 14, and on the top of the ball 4 a semi-axle 15 with a journal 16 is fixed, connected to the crank of the flywheel 17, the output shaft 18, which passes through the bearing 19 installed in the cover 20.
[0014] The proposed internal combustion engine works as follows.
[0015] By rotating the output shaft 18 in any direction, the journal 16, fixed in the flywheel crank 17, will rotate in a circle, describing together with the semi-axis 15 a generatrix of a cone, the apex of which is in the spherical center of the ball 4, while the ball, driven by the semi-axis 15, will perform an inclined circular rotation around its center together with the disk 5 / precessional rotation / , containing on its planes toothed 6 and support 7 circular tracks, contacting in a circle with the mating upper 8 and 9 and lower 10 and 11 circular tracks of the housing, not allowing the disk 5 with the spherical ball and journal to rotate around its axis, and the support tracks maintain a given depth of contact of the gear engagement, while the disk 5 with its lugs along the perimeter is pivotally connected to the connecting rods 12 piston groups, causing pistons 13 to perform reciprocating movements.
