[0031] Fig. 1 schematically shows an application scenario according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0032] As shown in Fig. 1, embodiments of the present invention can be applied to a scenario in which a terminal interacts with a network device, but they are not limited to this scenario. Any structural units may be connected or not connected, and their connection may be carried out in any way, and may be direct or indirect, wired or wireless.
[0033] In one embodiment of the present invention, the network device may configure a specific sub-band for the terminal; for example, it may configure an uplink sub-band in a first slot and a downlink sub-band in a second slot for the terminal.
[0034] The first slot includes at least one of the following slots: a downlink slot and a flexible slot. The second slot includes at least one of the following slots: an uplink slot and a flexible slot.
[0035] The network device can perform full-duplex communication in the first slot and the second slot. Therefore, the first slot and the second slot can also be referred to as SBFD (sub-band full-duplex) slots, where the first slot is an SBFD slot configured with an uplink sub-band, and the second slot is an SBFD slot configured with a downlink sub-band. The terminal may be a terminal device capable of performing half-duplex communication in the SBFD slot. For example, in the SBFD slot, the terminal can perform uplink transmission but cannot simultaneously receive downlink transmission, or can receive downlink transmission but cannot simultaneously perform uplink transmission. The terminal may be a terminal device supporting the SBFD function and may also be referred to as an SBFD-compatible terminal.
[0036] Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram illustrating uplink resources and downlink resources according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0037] As shown in Fig. 2, the activated BWP (bandwidth portion) corresponding to a downlink time domain unit includes an uplink sub-band, a guard frequency interval, and a downlink sub-band, wherein the network device configures the uplink sub-band and the guard frequency interval for the terminal in the downlink time domain unit. Among the frequency domain resources corresponding to the downlink time domain unit, the frequency domain resources other than the uplink sub-band and the guard frequency interval may be referred to as a downlink sub-band.The frequency domain resources in the uplink sub-band may serve as uplink resources, the frequency domain resources in the downlink sub-band may serve as downlink resources, and the guard frequency interval may not be used for transmitting information, including data and / or signals, thereby ensuring, to a certain extent, frequency domain localization and preventing mutual interference during uplink and downlink communications. Alternatively, if a network device plans to transmit only on the uplink or only on the downlink, then the guard frequency interval is not required for frequency domain localization between the uplink and downlink, and the guard frequency interval may be used for data transmission.
[0038] In one embodiment of the present invention, a time domain unit includes at least one of the following elements: a frame, a subframe, a slot, and a symbol, where the symbol may be an OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) symbol.
[0039] It should be noted that the embodiments of the present invention can be applied to a situation where a guard frequency interval is provided between an uplink sub-band and a downlink sub-band, as well as to a situation where a guard frequency interval is not provided between an uplink sub-band and a downlink sub-band.
[0040] In one embodiment of the present invention, a network device may configure a CSI-RS resource for a terminal, and the terminal may receive a CSI-RS on the CSI-RS resource configured by the network device.
[0041] Since the prior art does not consider the use of SBFD slots, and there are no uplink sub-bands and / or downlink sub-bands in the BWP, the minimum value of the configurable frequency domain resources for the CSI-RS resource is determined based on the BWP. However, if the network device configures an uplink sub-band and / or a downlink sub-band in the BWP for the terminal, SBFD slots must be provided; that is, not all the frequency domain resources in the BWP are used for downlink or uplink communication.
[0042] Taking a downlink slot as an example, an uplink sub-band can be configured in the BWP corresponding to the downlink slot. Then, the resources actually available for CSI-RS transmission must be frequency domain resources in the BWP different from the uplink sub-band. For example, if the frequency guard interval is not taken into account, the resource used for CSI-RS transmission is the downlink sub-band. If the minimum value of the configurable frequency domain resources for the CSI-RS resource is still determined based on the BWP, in some cases the minimum value of the configurable frequency domain resources for the CSI-RS resource may be determined as equal to the BWP, but the terminal cannot actually receive the CSI-RS on the uplink sub-band in the BWP; that is, the frequency domain resources on which the terminal actually receives the CSI-RS will be less than the BWP.Consequently, this may result in inconsistent perception of the CSI-RS resource between the network device and the terminal.
[0043] In one embodiment of the present invention, the configurable frequency domain resources in the CSI-RS resource may be characterized by a certain number of frequency domain resource units. For example, a frequency domain resource unit includes at least one of the following elements: a resource block (RB) and a resource element (RE).
[0044] In one embodiment of the present invention, the terminal may be, among other things, a mobile phone, a tablet, a wearable device, a sensor, an Internet of Things device, and other communication devices. The terminal can interact with a network device, and the network device includes, among other things, network devices used in communication systems such as 4G (fourth generation communication system), 5G, and 6G, such as a base station, a backbone network, etc.
[0045] Fig. 3 is a flowchart illustrating a resource determination method according to one embodiment of the present invention. The resource determination method according to this embodiment of the present invention can be implemented by a terminal.
[0046] As shown in Fig. 3, the method for determining the resource may include performing the step described below:
[0047] Stage S301: acquiring a CSI-RS (channel state information reference signal) based on a channel state information reference signal resource, wherein the number of configurable frequency domain resource units in the channel state information reference signal resource is greater than or equal to a minimum value of a first quantity and a second quantity, and the second quantity is the number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving downlink transmission.
[0048] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that when configuring a CSI-RS resource for a terminal, a network device may first determine a first frequency domain resource available for receiving a downlink transmission by the terminal and determine a second number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the first frequency domain resource. Then, based on the minimum value of the first number and the second number, a minimum value of the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal is determined. After this, the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource configured by the network device for the terminal will not be less than the minimum value of the first number and the second number.
[0049] Accordingly, the terminal may determine a first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission and determine the number of resource units in the frequency domain occupied by the first frequency domain resource, which is, for example, referred to as the second quantity. The terminal may then receive the CSI-RS and determine that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain for the CSI-RS is greater than or equal to the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity, which can also be described as calculating that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain within the CSI-RS resource will not be less than the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity. Accordingly, this will achieve the positive effect of ensuring consistent perception of the CSI-RS resource by the network device and the terminal, thereby guaranteeing high quality of subsequent data transmission between the network device and the terminal.
[0050] Alternatively, the terminal determines the CSI-RS resource according to the protocol agreement or according to the configuration information of the network device, and receives the CSI-RS based on the CSI-RS resource, wherein the relationship between the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain in the CSI-RS resource and the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity is agreed upon by the protocol or determined by the network device, and does not necessarily require the participation of the terminal; for example, the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain in the CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity. In this case, the terminal does not need to perform one or more of the following operations: determining a first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission; determining a number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the first frequency domain resource; establishing that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS is greater than or equal to the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity; generating an estimate that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units for the CSI-RS will be no less than the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity.
[0051] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first quantity is determined based on a predetermined rule, or the first quantity is configured by the network device. For example, in cases where the resource unit in the frequency domain is an RB block, the first quantity may be 24.
[0052] For example, the terminal determines that the number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission is 10, that is, the second number is 10. Accordingly, the terminal determines that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to the smallest of {24, 10}, and / or estimates that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource will be no less than the smallest of {24, 10}, wherein the smallest of {24, 10} is 10, and therefore the terminal determines that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to 10, and / or estimates that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource will be no less than 10.
[0053] Alternatively, the terminal determines the CSI-RS resource according to a protocol agreement or according to configuration information of the network device, and receives the CSI-RS based on the CSI-RS resource, wherein the relationship between the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource and the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity is agreed upon by the protocol or determined by the network device, and does not necessarily require the participation of the terminal; for example, the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to the smallest of {24, 10}.In this case, the terminal does not need to perform one or more of the following operations: determining the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission; determining the number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the first frequency domain resource; establishing that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units for the CSI-RS is greater than or equal to the smallest of {24, 10}; and calculating that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units for the CSI-RS will be no less than the smallest of {24, 10}.
[0054] A first frequency domain resource that can be used for receiving a downlink transmission is described below using several embodiments of the present invention as an example.
[0055] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first frequency domain resource that can be used for receiving the downlink transmission includes at least one of the following: a downlink subband and a guard frequency interval.
[0056] In one embodiment of the present invention, the downlink subband includes at least one of the following: a frequency domain resource configured in a downlink slot other than an uplink subband; a frequency domain resource configured in a downlink slot other than an uplink subband and a guard frequency interval; a frequency domain resource configured in a flexible slot other than an uplink subband; a frequency domain resource configured in a flexible slot other than an uplink subband and a guard frequency interval; a downlink subband configured in an uplink slot; and a downlink subband configured in the flexible slot.
[0057] For example, a network device configures an uplink subband in a downlink slot for a terminal. Frequency domain resources from among the frequency domain resources corresponding to the downlink slot, other than the uplink subband, may be referred to as a downlink subband, and the terminal can receive a downlink transmission on the downlink subband. In this case, the first frequency domain resource that can be used to receive the downlink transmission includes frequency domain resources from among the frequency domain resources corresponding to the downlink slot, other than the uplink subband.
[0058] For example, a network device configures an uplink sub-band and a guard frequency interval in a downlink slot for a terminal. Frequency domain resources from among the frequency domain resources corresponding to the downlink slot, other than the uplink sub-band and the guard frequency interval, may be referred to as a downlink sub-band, and the terminal can receive a downlink transmission on the downlink sub-band. In this case, the first frequency domain resource that can be used to receive the downlink transmission includes frequency domain resources from among the frequency domain resources corresponding to the downlink slot, other than the uplink sub-band and the guard frequency interval.
[0059] For example, a network device configures an uplink subband in a flexible slot for a terminal. Frequency domain resources other than the uplink subband among the frequency domain resources corresponding to the flexible slot may be referred to as a downlink subband, and the terminal can receive a downlink transmission on the downlink subband. In this case, the first frequency domain resource that can be used to receive the downlink transmission includes frequency domain resources other than the uplink subband among the frequency domain resources corresponding to the flexible slot.
[0060] For example, a network device configures an uplink subband and a guard frequency interval in a flexible slot for a terminal. Frequency domain resources within the frequency domain resources corresponding to the flexible slot, other than the uplink subband and the guard frequency interval, may be referred to as a downlink subband, and the terminal can receive a downlink transmission on the downlink subband. In this case, the first frequency domain resource that can be used to receive the downlink transmission includes frequency domain resources within the frequency domain resources corresponding to the flexible slot, other than the uplink subband and the guard frequency interval.
[0061] For example, a network device configures a downlink subband in an uplink slot for a terminal. The terminal can receive a downlink transmission on the downlink subband. In this case, the first frequency domain resource that can be used to receive the downlink transmission includes the downlink subband in the uplink slot.
[0062] For example, a network device configures a downlink subband in a flexible slot for a terminal. The terminal can receive a downlink transmission on the downlink subband. In this case, the first frequency domain resource that can be used to receive the downlink transmission includes the downlink subband in the flexible slot.
[0063] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission includes continuous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission, and the channel state information reference signal resource includes continuous resource units in the frequency domain.
[0064] In other words, if the CSI-RS resource includes contiguous resource units in the frequency domain, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission may include contiguous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission.
[0065] In one embodiment of the present invention, if the first frequency domain resource that can be used by the terminal to receive the downlink transmission includes a downlink subband, the terminal may determine the downlink subband where the initial resource unit in the frequency domain is located as the first frequency domain resource.
[0066] For example, if only one downlink subband is in the activated BWP, the terminal may determine this downlink subband as the first frequency domain resource. According to the embodiment of the present invention, which is illustrated in Fig. 2, two downlink subbands are in the activated BWP, and these two downlink subbands are discontinuous. Therefore, if the CSI-RS resource includes continuous resource units in the frequency domain, one of these two downlink subbands may be the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission. Therefore, when there are multiple contiguous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission, considering the fact that the CSI-RS resource can only include contiguous frequency domain resources, the CSI-RS resource can be transmitted on only one of the contiguous frequency domain resources, and the terminal needs to designate one contiguous frequency domain resource as the first frequency domain resource.
[0067] Determining one continuous frequency domain resource as a first frequency domain resource from a plurality of continuous frequency domain resources capable of receiving a downlink transmission is described below using an example of several embodiments of the present invention.
[0068] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission includes: a continuous frequency domain resource that is capable of receiving the downlink transmission based on an initial resource unit in the frequency domain in the channel state information reference signal resource.
[0069] The network device may send CSI-RS resource configuration information to the terminal, and the terminal may determine the CSI-RS resource based on this configuration information. For example, the configuration information includes at least one of the following information: an initial resource unit in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource and the number of continuous resource units in the frequency domain.
[0070] Among the plurality of continuous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission, the terminal may allocate a continuous frequency domain resource that is capable of receiving the downlink transmission based on an initial resource unit in the frequency domain, designating it as the first frequency domain resource.
[0071] For example, the number of frequency domain resource units by which the starting frequency domain resource unit of the CSI-RS resource is offset from the starting resource unit of the common resource block CRB#0 may be a positive integer multiple of the first value.
[0072] Fig. 4 is a diagram illustrating a first frequency domain resource according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0073] As shown in Fig. 4, which is based on the embodiment of the present invention shown in Fig. 2, two downlink sub-bands, namely, a downlink sub-band #1 and a downlink sub-band #2, may be defined in the activated BWP. If, based on the CSI-RS resource configuration information, the terminal determines that the initial resource unit in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is the downlink sub-band #1, the downlink sub-band #1 may be defined as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission.
[0074] If a frequency domain resource unit including RBs is taken as an example, as shown in Fig. 4, for example, the downlink sub-band #1 includes 12 RBs, and the downlink sub-band #2 includes 10 RBs. If the downlink sub-band #1 is used as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving downlink transmission, based on the above analysis, the second quantity will be equal to the number of RBs contained in the downlink sub-band #1, i.e., 12 RBs.Thus, the terminal determines that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain for the CSI-RS exceeds or is equal to the smallest of the values {24, 12}, and / or calculates that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain as part of the CSI-RS resource will be no less than the smallest of the values {24, 12}, wherein the smallest of the values {24, 12} is 12, and therefore the terminal determines that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain for the CSI-RS exceeds or is equal to the smallest of the values {24, 12}, and / or calculates that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain as part of the CSI-RS resource will be no less than 12.
[0075] Alternatively, the terminal determines the CSI-RS resource according to a protocol agreement or according to configuration information of the network device, and receives the CSI-RS based on the CSI-RS resource, wherein the relationship between the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource and the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity is agreed upon by the protocol or determined by the network device, and does not necessarily require the participation of the terminal; for example, the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to the smallest of {24, 12}.In this case, the terminal need not perform one or more of the following operations: determining a first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission; determining a number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the first frequency domain resource; establishing that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units for the CSI-RS is greater than or equal to the smallest of {24, 12}; and calculating that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units for the CSI-RS will be no less than the smallest of {24, 12}.
[0076] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that if the first frequency domain resource that can be used by a terminal to receive a downlink transmission includes a downlink subband and a guard frequency interval, the terminal may determine the downlink subband where the initial resource unit in the frequency domain is located and the guard frequency interval connected to the downlink subband as the first frequency domain resource.
[0077] For example, when the initial frequency domain resource unit in the CSI-RS resource is downlink subband #1 or guard frequency interval #1, the downlink subband #1 and guard frequency interval #1 connected to the downlink subband #1 can be defined as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving downlink transmission. The second quantity is equal to the sum of the number of RBs contained in the downlink subband #1 and guard frequency interval #1, i.e., 12 + 2 = 14.Thus, the terminal determines that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain for the CSI-RS exceeds or is equal to the smallest of the values {24, 14}, and / or calculates that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain as part of the CSI-RS resource will be no less than the smallest of the values {24, 14}, wherein the smallest of the values {24, 14} is 14, and therefore the terminal determines that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain for the CSI-RS exceeds or is equal to the smallest of the values {24, 14}, and / or calculates that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain as part of the CSI-RS resource will be no less than 14.
[0078] Alternatively, the terminal determines the CSI-RS resource according to a protocol agreement or according to configuration information of the network device, and receives the CSI-RS based on the CSI-RS resource, wherein the relationship between the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource and the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity is agreed upon by the protocol or determined by the network device, and does not necessarily require the participation of the terminal; for example, the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to the smallest of the values (24, 14}.In this case, the terminal need not perform one or more of the following operations: determining a first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission; determining a number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the first frequency domain resource; establishing that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units for the CSI-RS is greater than or equal to the smallest of {24, 14}; and calculating that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units for the CSI-RS will be no less than the smallest of {24, 14}.
[0079] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission includes: a contiguous frequency domain resource, among all the contiguous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission, that occupies the smallest number of resource units in the frequency domain.
[0080] When the terminal has a plurality of continuous frequency domain resources capable of receiving downlink transmission, the terminal may determine the number of resource units occupied by each continuous frequency domain resource and use the continuous frequency domain resource that occupies the smallest number of resource units in the frequency domain as the first frequency domain resource.
[0081] In one embodiment of the present invention, if the first frequency domain resource that can be used by the terminal for receiving the downlink transmission includes a downlink subband, the terminal may determine the number of resource units in the frequency domain occupied by each downlink subband and determine the downlink subband that occupies the smallest number of resource units in the frequency domain as the first frequency domain resource.
[0082] Fig. 5 is a diagram illustrating another first frequency domain resource according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0083] As shown in Fig. 5, which is based on the embodiment of the present invention shown in Fig. 2, two downlink sub-bands, namely, a downlink sub-band #1 and a downlink sub-band #2, can be defined in the activated BWP. Based on the CSI-RS resource configuration information, the terminal determines that the initial resource unit in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is the downlink sub-band #2, and therefore, the downlink sub-band #2 can be defined as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission.
[0084] If we take a frequency domain resource unit including RBs as an example, as shown in Fig. 5, for example, the downlink sub-band #1 includes 12 RBs, and the downlink sub-band #2 includes 10 RBs. Therefore, of these two downlink sub-bands, the downlink sub-band #2 occupies the smallest number of RBs. Therefore, the downlink sub-band #2 can be used as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving downlink transmission, and therefore the second number will be 10.Thus, the terminal determines that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain for the CSI-RS exceeds or is equal to the smallest of the values {24, 10}, and / or calculates that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain as part of the CSI-RS resource will be no less than the smallest of the values {24, 10}, wherein the smallest of the values {24, 10} is equal to 10, and therefore the terminal determines that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain for the CSI-RS exceeds or is equal to the smallest of the values {24, 10}, and / or calculates that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain as part of the CSI-RS resource will be no less than 10.
[0085] Alternatively, the terminal determines the CSI-RS resource according to a protocol agreement or according to configuration information of the network device, and receives the CSI-RS based on the CSI-RS resource, wherein the relationship between the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource and the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity is agreed upon by the protocol or determined by the network device, and does not necessarily require the participation of the terminal; for example, the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to the smallest of {24, 10}.In this case, the terminal need not perform one or more of the following operations: determining a first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission; determining a number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the first frequency domain resource; establishing that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units for the CSI-RS is greater than or equal to the smallest of {24, 10}; and calculating that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units for the CSI-RS will be no less than the smallest of {24, 10}.
[0086] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that if the first frequency domain resource that can be used by a terminal to receive a downlink transmission includes a downlink subband and a guard frequency interval, the terminal may determine a downlink subband that occupies the smallest number of resource units in the frequency domain and a guard frequency interval connected to this downlink subband as the first frequency domain resource.
[0087] For example, of the number of frequency domain units occupied by the downlink sub-band #1 and the guard frequency interval #1 connected to the downlink sub-band #1, and the frequency domain units occupied by the downlink sub-band #2 and the guard frequency interval #2 connected to the downlink sub-band #2, the number of frequency domain units occupied by the downlink sub-band #2 and the guard frequency interval #2 connected to the downlink sub-band #2 will be the smallest. Downlink subband #2 and guard frequency interval #2 connected to downlink subband #2 can be defined as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving downlink transmission. The second quantity is equal to the sum of the number of RBs contained in downlink subband #2 and guard frequency interval #2, i.e., 10 + 2 = 12.Thus, the terminal determines that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain for the CSI-RS exceeds or is equal to the smallest of the values {24, 12}, and / or calculates that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain as part of the CSI-RS resource will be no less than the smallest of the values {24, 12}, wherein the smallest of the values {24, 12} is 12, and therefore the terminal determines that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain for the CSI-RS exceeds or is equal to the smallest of the values {24, 12}, and / or calculates that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain as part of the CSI-RS resource will be no less than 12.
[0088] Alternatively, the terminal determines the CSI-RS resource according to a protocol agreement or according to configuration information of the network device, and receives the CSI-RS based on the CSI-RS resource, wherein the relationship between the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource and the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity is agreed upon by the protocol or determined by the network device, and does not necessarily require the participation of the terminal; for example, the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to the smallest of {24, 12}.In this case, the terminal need not perform one or more of the following operations: determining a first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission; determining a number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the first frequency domain resource; establishing that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units for the CSI-RS is greater than or equal to the smallest of {24, 12}; and calculating that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units for the CSI-RS will be no less than the smallest of {24, 12}.
[0089] It should be noted that determining one continuous frequency domain resource as the first frequency domain resource from among the plurality of continuous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission is not limited to the method described in the embodiments of the present invention disclosed above. For example, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission includes: a continuous frequency domain resource from among all the continuous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission that occupies the largest number of frequency domain units;for example, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission includes: a contiguous frequency domain resource, from among all the contiguous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission, that is designated by the network device (for example, the network device may designate an identifier of the frequency domain resource, a frequency domain range, etc.); for example, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission includes: a contiguous frequency domain resource, from among all the contiguous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission, occupying a number of frequency domain units that is an integer multiple of the first value (for example, 4). If there are multiple such resources, other conditions (such as an identifier and a starting resource unit in the frequency domain) may be combined for determination;For example, a contiguous frequency domain resource corresponding to the smallest identifier that satisfies the above condition may be determined as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission; for example, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission includes: a contiguous frequency domain resource, among all the contiguous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission, whose identifier is a predetermined identifier (for example, the smallest or the largest identifier).;
[0090] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission includes a discontinuous frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission, and the channel state information reference signal resource may include discontinuous resource units in the frequency domain.
[0091] In other words, in cases where the CSI-RS resource may include discontinuous resource units in the frequency domain, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission may include a discontinuous frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission. It should be noted that this does not mean that the first frequency domain resource cannot include a continuous frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission, but rather that the first frequency domain resource may include both a continuous frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission and a discontinuous frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission.
[0092] In one embodiment of the present invention, if a first frequency domain resource that can be used by a terminal to receive a downlink transmission includes a downlink subband, the terminal may determine the number of resource units in the frequency domain occupied by all of the downlink subbands as the first frequency domain resource.
[0093] For example, if only one downlink subband is in the activated BWP, the terminal may determine this downlink subband as the first frequency domain resource. According to the embodiment of the present invention, which is illustrated in Fig. 2, two downlink subbands are in the activated BWP, and these two downlink subbands are discontinuous. Therefore, if the CSI-RS resource includes discontinuous resource units in the frequency domain, these two downlink subbands may serve as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission.
[0094] Taking Fig. 5 as an example, based on the embodiment of the present invention shown in Fig. 2, a terminal may determine two downlink subbands, namely, a downlink subband #1 and a downlink subband #2. The terminal may determine the downlink subband #1 and the downlink subband #2 as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving downlink transmission.
[0095] If we take a frequency domain resource unit including RBs as an example, as shown in Fig. 5, for example, the downlink sub-band #1 includes 12 RBs, and the downlink sub-band #2 includes 10 RBs. The total number of RBs contained in the two downlink sub-bands is 22.Thus, the terminal determines that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain for the CSI-RS exceeds or is equal to the smallest of the values {24, 22}, and / or calculates that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain as part of the CSI-RS resource will be no less than the smallest of the values {24, 22}, wherein the smallest of the values {24, 22} is 22, and therefore the terminal determines that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain for the CSI-RS exceeds or is equal to the smallest of the values {24, 22}, and / or calculates that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain as part of the CSI-RS resource will be no less than 22.
[0096] Alternatively, the terminal determines the CSI-RS resource according to a protocol agreement or according to configuration information of the network device, and receives the CSI-RS based on the CSI-RS resource, wherein the relationship between the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource and the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity is agreed upon by the protocol or determined by the network device, and does not necessarily require the participation of the terminal; for example, the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to the smallest of {24, 22}.In this case, the terminal need not perform one or more of the following operations: determining a first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission; determining a number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the first frequency domain resource; establishing that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units for the CSI-RS is greater than or equal to the smallest of {24, 22}; and calculating that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units for the CSI-RS will be no less than the smallest of {24, 22}.
[0097] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that if the first frequency domain resource that can be used by the terminal to receive the downlink transmission includes a downlink subband and a guard frequency interval, the terminal may determine a discontinuous frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission, which includes the downlink subband and the guard frequency interval, as the first frequency domain resource.
[0098] For example, the discontinuous frequency domain resource includes a downlink sub-band #1, a downlink sub-band #2, a guard frequency interval #1, and a guard frequency interval #2. The downlink sub-band #1 and the guard frequency interval #1 connected to the downlink sub-band #1, and the downlink sub-band #2 and the guard frequency interval #2 connected to the downlink sub-band #2 can be determined as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving downlink transmission. The second quantity is equal to the sum of the number of RBs contained in downlink subband #1, downlink subband #2, guard frequency interval #1, and guard frequency interval #2, i.e. 12+2+10+2=26.Thus, the terminal establishes that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain for the CS1-RS exceeds or is equal to the smallest of the values {24, 26}, and / or calculates that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain as part of the CSI-RS resource will be no less than the smallest of the values {24, 26}, wherein the smallest of the values {24, 26} is 24, and therefore the terminal establishes that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain for the CSI-RS exceeds or is equal to the smallest of the values {24, 26}, and / or calculates that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain as part of the CSI-RS resource will be no less than 24.
[0099] Alternatively, the terminal determines the CSI-RS resource according to a protocol agreement or according to configuration information of the network device, and receives the CSI-RS based on the CSI-RS resource, wherein the relationship between the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource and the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity is agreed upon by the protocol or determined by the network device, and does not necessarily require the participation of the terminal; for example, the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to the smallest of {24, 26}.In this case, the terminal need not perform one or more of the following operations: determining a first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission; determining a number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the first frequency domain resource; establishing that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units for the CSI-RS is greater than or equal to the smallest of {24, 26}; and calculating that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units for the CSI-RS will be no less than the smallest of {24, 26}.
[0100] In one embodiment of the present invention, the second quantity is an integer multiple of the first value; wherein the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain in the channel state information reference signal resource is greater than or equal to the second quantity.
[0101] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that although the terminal does not assume that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is less than the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity, and / or the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device is not less than the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity, the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device may be greater than or equal to the second quantity.
[0102] When the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device exceeds the second number, in order to ensure that the CSI-RS resource actually used for transmitting the CSI-RS does not exceed the frequency domain range in which the terminal can receive the CSI-RS, the terminal may set the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource to be equal to the second number, that is, the number of frequency domain resource units contained in the CSI-RS resource actually used for transmitting the CSI-RS to be equal to the second number.
[0103] Since the number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the CSI-RS resource must be a positive integer multiple of the first value, taking the frequency domain resource unit being the RB block and the first value being 4 as an example, the number of RB blocks occupied by the CSI-RS resource must be 4n, where n is a positive integer. Therefore, the terminal may determine that the second quantity is an integer multiple of the first value, and / or the terminal may assume that the second quantity is not a number other than an integer multiple of the first value. Thus, the second quantity is an integer multiple of the first value, for example, 4n, thereby ensuring that the number of frequency domain resource units contained in the CSI-RS resource actually used to transmit the CSI-RS is a positive integer multiple of the first value, and the CSI-RS resource actually used to transmit the CSI-RS does not exceed the frequency domain range in which the terminal can receive the CSI-RS.
[0104] For example, the second quantity is 8, which is 2x4. The number of frequency domain resource units contained in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device is 12, which is greater than 8. In this case, the terminal can determine that the number of frequency domain resource units contained in the CSI-RS resource actually used for CSI-RS transmission is 8.
[0105] Fig. 6 is a flowchart illustrating another resource determination method according to one embodiment of the present invention. The resource determination method according to this embodiment of the present invention can be implemented by a terminal. As shown in Fig. 6, this resource determination method further includes performing the step described below.
[0106] Stage S601: determining the number of frequency domain resource units contained in the channel state information reference signal resource to be the maximum value (among integer multiples of the first value) that is less than or equal to the second number; wherein the number of configurable frequency domain resource units contained in the channel state information reference signal resource is greater than or equal to the second number.
[0107] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that although the terminal does not assume that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is less than the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity, and / or the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device is not less than the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity, the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device may be greater than or equal to the second quantity.
[0108] When the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device exceeds a second number, the terminal may determine the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource to be a maximum value (among integer multiples of the first value) that is less than or equal to the second number; that is, the number of frequency domain resource units contained in the CSI-RS resource that is actually used for transmitting the CSI-RS is a maximum value (among integer multiples of the first value) that is less than or equal to the second number.
[0109] Since the number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the CSI-RS resource must be a positive integer multiple of the first value, if we take the frequency domain resource unit that is the RB block and the first value is 4 as an example, the number of RB blocks occupied by the CSI-RS resource must be 4n, where n is a positive integer. If the second quantity has a value other than an integer multiple of the first value, the terminal may set the number of frequency domain resource units contained in the CSI-RS resource as a maximum value (among integer multiples of the first value) that is less than or equal to the second quantity, thereby ensuring that the number of frequency domain resource units contained in the CSI-RS resource that is actually used to transmit the CSI-RS is a positive integer multiple of the first value, and the CSI-RS resource that is actually used to transmit the CSI-RS does not exceed the frequency domain range in which the terminal can receive the CSI-RS.
[0110] When the number of resource units in the frequency domain in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device exceeds a second quantity, and the second quantity is an integer multiple of the first value, the terminal may determine that the number of RBs occupied by the CSI-RS resource is equal to the second quantity.
[0111] When the number of resource units in the frequency domain in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device exceeds a second quantity, and the second quantity is not an integer multiple of the first value, the terminal may determine values equal to an integer multiple of the first value from among values that are less than the second quantity; select a maximum value (for example, 4) from the values equal to an integer multiple of the first value; and then determine that the number of RBs occupied by the CSI-RS resource is equal to this maximum value.
[0112] For example, the second quantity may be 8, and this number is a positive integer multiple of 4. The number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device is 12, which is greater than 8. In this case, the terminal can determine that the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is 8.
[0113] For example, the second quantity may be 10, and this number is not a positive integer multiple of 4. The number of resource units in the frequency domain in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device is 12, which is greater than 10. In this case, the terminal can determine values equal to 4n from among the values less than 10, which are 4 and 8; select the maximum value, which is 8, from among the values 4 and 8; and then determine that the number of RBs occupied by the CSI-RS resource is 8.
[0114] Fig. 7 is a flowchart illustrating another resource determination method according to one embodiment of the present invention. The resource determination method according to this embodiment of the present invention can be implemented by a terminal. As shown in Fig. 7, this resource determination method further includes performing the step described below.
[0115] Stage S701: determining that the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the channel state information reference signal resource is equal to the second number, when the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the channel state information reference signal resource exceeds the second number.
[0116] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that although the terminal does not assume that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain in the CS1-RS resource is less than the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity, and / or the number of resource units in the frequency domain in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device is not less than the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity, the number of resource units in the frequency domain in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device may be greater than or equal to the second quantity.
[0117] When the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device exceeds a second number, the terminal may determine that the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is equal to the second number, thereby ensuring that the CSI-RS can be transmitted by the network device and received by the terminal in the range of the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission, in order to prevent the network device from sending a CSI-RS signal outside the range of the first frequency domain resource capable of ensuring that the terminal receives the downlink transmission that the terminal cannot receive.
[0118] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that from a number of values that are less than or equal to the second number, the terminal can determine values that are equal to an integer multiple of the first value; and from a number of values that are equal to an integer multiple of the first value, select a maximum value (for example, 4). After this, the terminal can determine that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain for the CSI-RS is greater than or equal to the minimum value of the first number and this maximum value, and / or assume that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain for the CSI-RS will be not less than the minimum value of the first number and this maximum value.
[0119] For example, the first value is 4, the first quantity is 24, and the second quantity is 10. Among the values that are less than or equal to the second quantity, the terminal may select values that are an integer multiple of the first value, such as 8 and 4, with 8 being the maximum value. Therefore, the terminal may determine that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain for the CSI-RS is greater than or equal to the smallest of {24, 8}, and / or assume that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain within the CSI-RS resource will be no less than the smallest of {24, 8}=8.
[0120] In one embodiment of the present invention, the second quantity is greater than or equal to the first quantity, and the quantity of configurable resource units in the frequency domain within the CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to a minimum value of the first quantity and a third quantity, wherein the third quantity is a quantity of resource units in the frequency domain occupied by the BWP in which the first private domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission is located; and / or the terminal does not assume that the second quantity is less than the first quantity, and also does not assume that the quantity of configurable resource units in the frequency domain within the CSI-RS resource is less than a minimum value of the first quantity and the third quantity. When the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device exceeds the third number, the terminal may determine that the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is equal to the second number.
[0121] For example, the minimum value of the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is the smallest of {the first quantity, the third quantity}, and the number of RBs occupied by the first frequency domain resource that can support the reception of the downlink transmission by the terminal is the second quantity. Since the third quantity is greater than or equal to the second quantity, under the condition that the second quantity is greater than or equal to the first quantity, it can be determined that the third quantity is greater than or equal to the first quantity, and therefore the minimum value of the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource can be the first quantity; in this case, the third quantity is greater than or equal to the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource. Therefore, it is possible to ensure compliance with the condition that the minimum value of the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain within the CSI-RS resource is the smallest of the {first quantity, third quantity}, and the minimum value (first quantity) of the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain within the CSI-RS resource lies within the range of the number of resource units in the frequency domain (second quantity) occupied by the first frequency domain resource capable of ensuring the reception of the downlink transmission by the terminal. Accordingly, the network side can configure the corresponding CSI-RS resource based on satisfying the said conditions so that the frequency domain resource units configured for the CSI-RS resource lie within the range of the first frequency domain resource, ensuring the possibility of receiving the CSI-RS signal by the terminal within the frequency domain range available for reception.
[0122] In one embodiment of the present invention, the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to the minimum value of the first quantity and the third quantity, wherein the third quantity is the number of resource units in the frequency domain occupied by the BWP in which the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission is located and / or the number of resource units in the frequency domain occupied by the downlink BWP where the terminal is located. Alternatively, the terminal does not assume that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is less than the minimum value of the first quantity and the third quantity. When the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device exceeds a second number, the terminal may determine that the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource equals the second number. The second number is determined based on the embodiments of the present invention disclosed above, and the description of which is not repeated hereinafter.
[0123] Fig. 8 is a flow chart illustrating a resource determination method according to one embodiment of the present invention. The resource determination method according to this embodiment of the present invention can be implemented by a network device. The network device can communicate with a terminal. The network device can be, among other things, base stations in various communication systems, such as 4G base stations, 5G base stations, 6G base stations, etc. The terminal can be, among other things, mobile phones, tablets, wearable devices, sensors, Internet of Things devices, and other communication devices.
[0124] As shown in Fig. 8, this method of determining a resource may include performing the step described below.
[0125] Stage S801: determining, based on the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity, the minimum value of the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the channel state information reference signal resource configured for the terminal, wherein the second quantity is the number of resource units in the frequency domain occupied by the first frequency domain resource capable of ensuring reception of the downlink transmission by the terminal.
[0126] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that when configuring a CSI-RS resource for a terminal, a network device may first determine a first frequency domain resource available for receiving a downlink transmission by the terminal and a second number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the first frequency domain resource. Then, based on the minimum value of the first number and the second number, a minimum value of the number of frequency domain resource units in the resource configured for the terminal is determined. Thus, the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device will be no less than (i.e., greater than or equal to) the minimum value of the first number and the second number.Accordingly, this will provide a positive effect in ensuring consistent perception of the CSI-RS resource by the network device and the terminal, which will guarantee high quality of subsequent data transmission between the network device and the terminal.
[0127] Accordingly, the terminal may determine a first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission and determine the number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the first frequency domain resource, which is referred to as, for example, the second quantity. Alternatively, the terminal may not assume that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource will be less than the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity.
[0128] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first quantity is determined based on a predetermined rule, or the first quantity is configured by the network device. For example, in cases where the resource unit in the frequency domain is an RB block, the first quantity may be equal to 24.
[0129] For example, the terminal sets that the number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the first frequency domain resource capable of supporting the reception of the downlink transmission by the terminal is 10, that is, the second number is 10. Therefore, the minimum value of the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device is the smallest value of {24, 10}, where the smallest value of {24, 10} is 10, and therefore the minimum value of the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal is 10.
[0130] In one embodiment of the present invention, a first frequency domain resource that can be used to receive a downlink transmission includes at least one of the following: a downlink subband and a guard frequency interval.
[0131] In one embodiment of the present invention, the downlink subband includes at least one of the following: a frequency domain resource configured in a downlink slot other than an uplink subband; a frequency domain resource configured in a downlink slot other than an uplink subband and a guard frequency interval; a frequency domain resource configured in a flexible slot other than an uplink subband; a frequency domain resource configured in a flexible slot other than an uplink subband and a guard frequency interval; a downlink subband configured in an uplink slot; and a downlink subband configured in the flexible slot.
[0132] For example, a network device configures an uplink subband in a downlink slot for a terminal.
[0133] For example, a network device configures an uplink sub-band and a guard frequency interval in a downlink slot for a terminal.
[0134] For example, a network device configures an uplink subband in a flexible slot for a terminal.
[0135] For example, a network device configures an uplink subband and a guard frequency interval in a flexible slot for a terminal.
[0136] For example, a network device configures a downlink subband in an uplink slot for a terminal. The terminal can receive a downlink transmission on the downlink subband. In this case, the first frequency domain resource that can be used to receive the downlink transmission includes the downlink subband in the uplink slot.
[0137] For example, a network device configures a downlink subband in a flexible slot for a terminal. The terminal can receive a downlink transmission on the downlink subband. In this case, the first frequency domain resource that can be used to receive the downlink transmission includes the downlink subband in the flexible slot.
[0138] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission includes continuous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission, and the channel state information reference signal resource includes continuous resource units in the frequency domain.
[0139] In other words, if the CSI-RS resource includes contiguous resource units in the frequency domain, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission may include contiguous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission.
[0140] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that if the first frequency domain resource that can be used by the terminal for receiving the downlink transmission includes a downlink subband, then the network device may determine the downlink subband where the initial resource unit in the frequency domain is located as the first frequency domain resource.
[0141] For example, if only one downlink subband is in the activated BWP, the network device may determine this downlink subband as the first frequency domain resource. Therefore, when there are multiple contiguous frequency domain resources capable of receiving downlink transmission, considering the fact that a CSI-RS resource can only include contiguous frequency domain resources, the CSI-RS resource can be transmitted on only one of the contiguous frequency domain resources, and the network device needs to designate one contiguous frequency domain resource as the first frequency domain resource.
[0142] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission includes a continuous frequency domain resource that is capable of receiving the downlink transmission based on an initial resource unit in the frequency domain in the channel state information reference signal resource.
[0143] The network device may send CSI-RS resource configuration information to the terminal, and the terminal may determine the CSI-RS resource based on this configuration information. For example, the configuration information includes at least one of the following information: an initial resource unit in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource and the number of continuous resource units in the frequency domain.
[0144] A network device may allocate a continuous frequency domain resource that is capable of receiving the downlink transmission based on an initial resource unit in the frequency domain from a plurality of continuous frequency domain resources capable of supporting the terminal to receive the downlink transmission, and designate it as a first frequency domain resource.
[0145] For example, the number of frequency domain resource units by which the starting frequency domain resource unit of the CSI-RS resource is offset from the starting resource unit of the common resource block CRB#0 may be a positive integer multiple of the first value.
[0146] As shown in Fig. 4, two downlink sub-bands, namely, downlink sub-band #1 and downlink sub-band #2, can be defined in the activated BWP. Based on the CSI-RS resource configuration information transmitted to the terminal, the network device determines that the starting resource unit in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is downlink sub-band #1, and therefore, downlink sub-band #1 can be defined as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving downlink transmission.
[0147] If a frequency domain resource unit including RBs is taken as an example, as shown in Fig. 4, for example, the downlink sub-band #1 includes 12 RBs, and the downlink sub-band #2 includes 10 RBs. If the downlink sub-band #1 is used as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving downlink transmission, based on the above analysis, the second quantity will be 12, which is equal to the number of RBs contained in the downlink sub-band #1, that is, 12 RBs.The network device may then determine that the minimum value of the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal is equal to the smallest of {24, 12}, wherein the smallest of {24, 12} is 12, and therefore the minimum value of the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal will be equal to 12.
[0148] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that if the first frequency domain resource that can be used by the terminal for receiving the downlink transmission includes a downlink subband and a guard frequency interval, then the network device can determine the downlink subband where the initial resource unit in the frequency domain is located and the guard frequency interval connected to this downlink subband as the first frequency domain resource.
[0149] For example, when the initial frequency domain resource unit in the CSI-RS resource is downlink subband #1 or guard frequency interval #1, the downlink subband #1 and guard frequency interval #1 connected to the downlink subband #1 can be defined as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving downlink transmission. The second quantity is equal to the sum of the number of RBs contained in the downlink subband #1 and guard frequency interval #1, i.e., 12 + 2 = 14.Thus, the network device may determine that the minimum value of the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal is equal to the smallest of the values {24, 14}, wherein the smallest of the values {24, 14} is 14, and therefore the minimum value of the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal will be equal to 14.
[0150] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission includes: a contiguous frequency domain resource, among all the contiguous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission, that occupies the smallest number of resource units in the frequency domain.
[0151] When the terminal has a plurality of continuous frequency domain resources capable of receiving downlink transmission, the network device may determine the number of resource units occupied by each continuous frequency domain resource and use the continuous frequency domain resource that occupies the smallest number of resource units in the frequency domain as the first frequency domain resource.
[0152] In one embodiment of the present invention, if the first frequency domain resource that can be used by the terminal for receiving the downlink transmission includes a downlink sub-band, the network device may determine the number of resource units in the frequency domain occupied by each downlink sub-band and determine the downlink sub-band that occupies the smallest number of resource units in the frequency domain as the first frequency domain resource.
[0153] As shown in Fig. 5, two downlink sub-bands, namely, downlink sub-band #1 and downlink sub-band #2, can be defined in the activated BWP. Based on the CSI-RS resource configuration information transmitted to the terminal, the network device determines that the starting resource unit in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is downlink sub-band #2, and therefore, downlink sub-band #2 can be defined as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving downlink transmission.
[0154] If we take a frequency domain resource unit including RBs as an example, as shown in Fig. 5, for example, the downlink sub-band #1 includes 12 RBs, and the downlink sub-band #2 includes 10 RBs. Therefore, of these two downlink sub-bands, the downlink sub-band #2 occupies the smallest number of RBs. Therefore, the downlink sub-band #2 can be used as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving downlink transmission, and therefore the second number will be 10.Thus, the network device may determine that the minimum value of the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal is equal to the smallest of the values {24, 10}, wherein the smallest of the values {24, 10} is 10, and therefore the minimum value of the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal will be equal to 10.
[0155] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that if the first frequency domain resource that can be used by the terminal for receiving the downlink transmission includes a downlink subband and a guard frequency interval, then the network device may determine the downlink subband that occupies the smallest number of resource units in the frequency domain and the guard frequency interval connected to this downlink subband as the first frequency domain resource.
[0156] For example, of the number of frequency domain units occupied by the downlink sub-band #1 and the guard frequency interval #1 connected to the downlink sub-band #1, and the number of frequency domain units occupied by the downlink sub-band #2 and the guard frequency interval #2 connected to the downlink sub-band #2, the number of frequency domain units occupied by the downlink sub-band #2 and the guard frequency interval #2 connected to the downlink sub-band #2 will be the smallest. Downlink subband #2 and guard frequency interval #2 connected to downlink subband #2 can be defined as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving downlink transmission. The second quantity is equal to the sum of the number of RBs contained in downlink subband #2 and guard frequency interval #2, i.e., 10 + 2 = 12.Thus, the network device may determine that the minimum value of the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal is equal to the smallest of the values {24, 12}, wherein the smallest of the values {24, 12} is 12, and therefore the minimum value of the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal will be equal to 12.
[0157] It should be noted that determining one continuous frequency domain resource as the first frequency domain resource from among the plurality of continuous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission is not limited to the method described in the embodiments of the present invention disclosed above. For example, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission includes: a continuous frequency domain resource from among all the continuous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission that occupies the largest number of frequency domain units;for example, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission includes: a contiguous frequency domain resource, from among all the contiguous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission, that is designated by the network device (for example, the network device may designate an identifier of the frequency domain resource, a frequency domain range, etc.); for example, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission includes: a contiguous frequency domain resource, from among all the contiguous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission, occupying a number of frequency domain units that is an integer multiple of the first value (for example, 4). If there are multiple such resources, other conditions (such as an identifier and a starting resource unit in the frequency domain) may be combined for determination;For example, a contiguous frequency domain resource corresponding to the smallest identifier that satisfies the above condition may be determined as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission; for example, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission includes: a contiguous frequency domain resource, among all the contiguous frequency domain resources capable of receiving the downlink transmission, whose identifier is a predetermined identifier (for example, the smallest or the largest identifier).;
[0158] In one embodiment of the present invention, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission includes a discontinuous frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission, and the channel state information reference signal resource may include discontinuous resource units in the frequency domain.
[0159] In other words, in cases where the CSI-RS resource may include discontinuous resource units in the frequency domain, the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission may include a discontinuous frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission.
[0160] In one embodiment of the present invention, if the first frequency domain resource that can be used by the terminal for receiving the downlink transmission includes a downlink sub-band, the network device may determine the number of resource units in the frequency domain occupied by all the downlink sub-bands as the first frequency domain resource.
[0161] For example, if only one downlink subband is in the activated BWP, the network device can determine this downlink subband as the first frequency domain resource. According to the embodiment of the present invention, which is illustrated in Fig. 2, two downlink subbands are in the activated BWP, and these two downlink subbands are discontinuous. Therefore, if the CSI-RS resource includes discontinuous resource units in the frequency domain, these two downlink subbands can serve as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving downlink transmission.
[0162] Taking Fig. 5 as an example, the terminal may determine two downlink sub-bands, namely, downlink sub-band #1 and downlink sub-band #2. The terminal may determine downlink sub-band #1 and downlink sub-band #2 as the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving downlink transmission.
[0163] Taking a resource unit in the frequency domain including RB blocks as shown in Fig. 5, for example, as an example, the downlink sub-band #1 includes 12 RB blocks, and the downlink sub-band #2 includes 10 RB blocks. The total number of RBs contained in the two downlink sub-bands is 22, and therefore the second number is 22. Thus, the network device can determine that the minimum value of the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal is equal to the smallest of {24, 22}, wherein the smallest of {24, 22} is 22, and therefore the minimum value of the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal will be equal to 22.
[0164] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that if the first frequency domain resource that can be used by the terminal to receive the downlink transmission includes a downlink subband and a guard frequency interval, then the network device may determine a discontinuous frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission and including the downlink subband and the guard frequency band as the first frequency domain resource.
[0165] For example, the discontinuous frequency domain resource includes a downlink sub-band #1, a downlink sub-band #2, a guard frequency interval #1, and a guard frequency interval #2. 12+2+10+2=26.Thus, the network device may determine that the minimum value of the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal is equal to the smallest of the values {24, 26}, wherein the smallest of the values {24, 26} is equal to 24, and therefore the minimum value of the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal will be equal to 24.
[0166] In one embodiment of the present invention, the method for determining the resource further comprises: determining that the second quantity is an integer multiple of the first value; wherein the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain in the channel state information reference signal resource is greater than or equal to the second quantity.
[0167] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that although the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device is not less than the minimum value of the first number and the second number, the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device may be greater than or equal to the second number.
[0168] When the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device exceeds a second number, the terminal may determine that the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource is equal to the second number, thereby ensuring that the CSI-RS signal actually used for transmitting the CSI-RS does not exceed the frequency domain range in which the terminal can receive the CSI-RS; in other words, the number of frequency domain resource units contained in the CSI-RS resource actually used for transmitting the CSI-RS is equal to the second number.
[0169] Since the second quantity of frequency domain resource units occupied by the CSI-RS resource must be a positive integer multiple of the first value, taking the frequency domain resource unit being the RB block and the first value being 4 as an example, the number of RB blocks occupied by the CSI-RS resource must be 4n, where n is a positive integer. Therefore, the terminal may determine that the second quantity is an integer multiple of the first value, and / or the terminal does not assume that the second quantity is a number other than an integer multiple of the first value. Thus, the second quantity is an integer multiple of the first value, for example, 4n.The network device also needs to determine that the second quantity is an integer multiple of the first value, thereby ensuring that the terminal and the network device have a consistent perception regarding the number of frequency domain resource units contained in the CSI-RS resource actually used to transmit the CSI-RS, which is a positive integer multiple of the first value, and regarding that the CSI-RS resource actually used to transmit the CSI-RS does not exceed the frequency domain range in which the terminal can receive the CSI-RS.
[0170] For example, the second quantity is 8, which is 2x4. The quantity of resource units in the frequency domain contained in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device is 12, which is greater than 8. In this case, the terminal can determine that the quantity of resource units in the frequency domain contained in the CSI-RS resource actually used for transmitting the CSI-RS is 8; and the network device also determines that the quantity of resource units in the frequency domain contained in the CSI-RS resource actually used for transmitting the CSI-RS is 8.
[0171] In one embodiment of the present invention, the method for determining the resource further comprises: determining the number of resource units in the frequency domain contained in the channel state information reference signal resource as a minimum value (from among integer multiples of a first value) that is less than or equal to a second number; wherein the number of configured resource units in the frequency domain in the channel state information reference signal resource is not equal to an integer multiple of the first value.
[0172] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that although the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device is not less than the minimum value of the first number and the second number, the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device may be greater than or equal to the second number.
[0173] When the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device exceeds a second number, the terminal may determine the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource to be a maximum value (among integer multiples of the first value) that is less than or equal to the second number; that is, the number of frequency domain resource units contained in the CSI-RS resource that is actually used for transmitting the CSI-RS is a maximum value (among integer multiples of the first value) that is less than or equal to the second number.
[0174] Since the number of frequency domain resource units occupied by the CSI-RS resource must be a positive integer multiple of the first value, if we take the frequency domain resource unit being the RB block and the first value being 4 as an example, the number of RB blocks occupied by the CSI-RS resource must be 4n, where n is a positive integer. If the second quantity has a value other than an integer multiple of the first value, the network device may set the number of resource units in the frequency domain contained in the CSI-RS resource as a maximum value (among integer multiples of the first value) that is less than or equal to the second quantity, thereby ensuring that the number of resource units in the frequency domain contained in the CSI-RS resource that is actually used to transmit the CSI-RS is an integer positive multiple of the first value, and the CSI-RS resource that is actually used to transmit the CSI-RS does not exceed the frequency domain range in which the terminal can receive the CSI-RS.
[0175] When the number of resource units in the frequency domain in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device exceeds a second quantity, and the second quantity is an integer multiple of the first value, the terminal may determine that the number of RBs occupied by the CSI-RS resource is equal to the second quantity.
[0176] When the number of frequency domain resource units in the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device exceeds a second quantity, and the second quantity is not an integer multiple of the first value, the terminal may determine values equal to an integer multiple of the first value from among the values that are less than the second quantity; select a maximum value (for example, 4) from the values equal to an integer multiple of the first value; and then determine that the number of RBs occupied by the CSI-RS resource is equal to this maximum value. The network device may also determine that the number of RBs occupied by the CSI-RS resource is equal to this maximum value, thereby ensuring that the terminal and the network device have a consistent perception regarding the number of frequency domain resource units contained in the CSI-RS resource actually used for transmitting the CSI-RS, which is this maximum value.
[0177] For example, the second quantity may be 8, and this number is a positive integer multiple of 4. The number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device is 12, which is greater than 8. In this case, the terminal can determine that the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is 8, and the network device can also determine that the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is 8.
[0178] For example, the second quantity may be 10, and this number is not a positive integer multiple of 4. The number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device is 12, which is greater than 10. In this case, the terminal may determine values equal to 4n from among the values less than 10, which are 4 and 8; select the maximum value, which is 8, from among the values 4 and 8; and then determine that the number of RBs occupied by the CSI-RS resource is 8. The network device may also determine that the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is 8.
[0179] In one embodiment of the present invention, the method for determining a resource further comprises: determining that the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the channel state information reference signal resource is equal to a second number, when the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the channel state information reference signal resource exceeds the second number.
[0180] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that although the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device is not less than the minimum value of the first number and the second number, the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device may be greater than or equal to the second number.
[0181] When the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device exceeds a second number, the terminal may determine that the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is equal to the second number, and the network device may also determine that the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is equal to the second number, and this ensures that the network device can send a CSI-RS signal to the terminal in the range of the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission, thereby preventing the network device from sending a CSI-RS signal outside the range of the first frequency domain resource capable of ensuring that the terminal receives the downlink transmission that the terminal cannot receive.
[0182] In one embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that, from the number of values that are less than or equal to the second number, the network device can determine the values that are equal to an integer multiple of the first value; and, from the number of values that are equal to an integer multiple of the first value, select the maximum value (for example, 4). After this, the network device can determine that the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain as part of the CSI-RS resource will be no less than the minimum value of the first number and this maximum value.
[0183] For example, the first value is 4, the first quantity is 24, and the second quantity is 10. From the values less than or equal to the second quantity, the network device can allocate values equal to an integer multiple of the first value, such as 8 and 4, with 8 being the maximum value. The network device can then determine that the number of configurable frequency domain resource units within the CSI-RS resource will be no less than the smallest of the values {24, 8}=8.
[0184] In one embodiment of the present invention, the second quantity is greater than or equal to the first quantity, and the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is greater than or equal to the minimum value of the first quantity and the third quantity, wherein the third quantity is the number of resource units in the frequency domain occupied by the BWP in which the first private domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission is located. When the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device exceeds the second quantity, the terminal can determine that the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is equal to the second quantity.
[0185] For example, the minimum value of the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is the smaller of {the first quantity, the third quantity}. Since the third quantity is greater than or equal to the first quantity, the minimum value of the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource may be the first quantity; in this case, the third quantity is greater than or equal to the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource. Therefore, it is possible to ensure compliance with the condition that the minimum value of the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is the smallest of the values {the first quantity, the third quantity}, and the minimum value (the first quantity) of the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource lies within the range of the number of resource units in the frequency domain (the second quantity) occupied by the first frequency domain resource capable of ensuring the reception of the downlink transmission by the terminal. In this case, a situation cannot arise where the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource exceeds the second quantity, which guarantees the reception of the CSI-RS signal by the terminal within the frequency domain range available for reception.
[0186] In one embodiment of the present invention, the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource exceeds or is equal to the minimum value of the first quantity and the third quantity, wherein the third quantity is the number of resource units in the frequency domain occupied by the BWP in which the first frequency domain resource capable of receiving the downlink transmission is located. When the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource configured for the terminal by the network device exceeds the second quantity, the terminal can determine that the number of resource units in the frequency domain of the CSI-RS resource is equal to the second quantity.
[0187] Embodiments of the present invention also provide a method for determining a resource implemented by a communication system, wherein the communication system includes a terminal and a network device.
[0188] wherein the terminal is configured to receive a reference signal of channel state information, where the number of configurable resource units in the frequency domain in the resource of the reference signal of channel state information exceeds or is equal to the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity, and the second quantity is the number of resource units in the frequency domain occupied by the first resource of the frequency domain, capable of receiving the transmission on the downlink.
[0189] The network device is configured to determine, based on the minimum value of the first quantity and the second quantity, the minimum value of the number of resource units in the frequency domain in the resource of the reference signal of the channel state information configured for the terminal, wherein the second quantity is the number of resource units in the frequency domain occupied by the first resource of the frequency domain, capable of ensuring the reception of the downlink transmission by the terminal.
[0190] Based on the embodiments of the resource determination method described above, the present invention also provides embodiments of a resource determination device.
