[0026] Below, with reference to the attached drawings, specific embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail. Obviously, not all possible embodiments of the present invention are described, but only examples thereof. All other embodiments obtained by specialists in the art based on the discussed embodiments of the present invention without creative efforts fall within the scope of legal protection of the present invention.

[0027] The terms used in the embodiments of the present invention are provided solely for the purpose of describing specific embodiments and should not be construed as limiting them. The singular terms in the embodiments of the present invention and the appended claims should be construed as also including the plural unless the context clearly indicates otherwise. It should also be noted that the expression "and / or" in this document indicates or includes any or all possible combinations of one or more corresponding elements listed in this manner.

[0028] In the embodiments of the present invention, expressions such as "first," "second," "third," or the like may be used to describe various types of information, but it should be understood that such expressions do not impose any limitations on the information being described. They are used solely to distinguish information of the same type from each other. For example, within the scope of the present invention, first information may also be referred to as second information, and vice versa, second information may also be referred to as first information. Depending on the context, the expression "if" in this document may be interpreted as "when" or "provided that," or as "in response to a determination that."

[0029] For brevity and simplicity, the expressions "greater than" and "less than" and "higher than" and "lower than" are used in this document when describing relationship between quantities. However, those skilled in the art should understand that the expression "greater than" can also mean "greater than or equal to," and the expression "less than" can also mean "less than or equal to." Similarly, the expression "higher than" can also mean "higher than or equal to," and the expression "lower than" can mean "lower than or equal to."

[0030] In one embodiment of the present invention, when a terminal needs to perform a certain operation, it can determine whether the identifier (ID) of the public land mobile network (PLMN) where the terminal is located belongs to a predetermined list of identifiers. If it is determined that the identifier (ID) of the PLMN where the terminal is located belongs to the predetermined list of identifiers, the terminal can perform the said operation; and if it is determined that the identifier (ID) of the PLMN where the terminal is located does not belong to the predetermined list of identifiers, the terminal may not perform the said operation.

[0031] The identifier list can store the identifier (ID) of the equivalent PLMN (also referred to as EPLMN), which is equivalent to the registered PLMN (also referred to as RPLMN). When the identifier (ID) of the PLMN where the terminal is located belongs to the specified identifier list, the PLMN where the terminal is located is an EPLMN equivalent to the RPLMN, and the terminal can determine that the condition is met and then perform the specified operation.

[0032] With the development of communications technology, non-public networks (NPNs) have emerged, as well as equivalent non-public networks based on non-public networks. Consequently, terminals must take non-public networks into account when performing certain operations.

[0033] Fig. 1 is a flow chart illustrating a method for determining an operation according to one embodiment of the present invention. The method for determining an operation illustrated in this embodiment of the present invention may be performed by a network device. The terminal includes, but is not limited to, communication devices such as a mobile phone, wearable devices, sensors, and Internet of Things (IoT) equipment. The terminal can communicate with the network device. The network device may include, but is not limited to, a network device in communication systems such as 4G, 5G, 6G. For example, the network device may be a base station, a core network device, etc.

[0034] According to the illustration of Fig. 1, the method for determining the operation may include the steps described below.

[0035] In step S101, information about the first non-public network is written into a report variable, and the information about the first non-public network is configured to determine by the terminal whether to perform the first operation.

[0036] According to embodiments of the present invention, the terminal can record information about the first non-public network in a report variable. Since the information about the first non-public network is configured for the terminal to determine whether to perform the first operation, the terminal can determine whether to perform the first operation according to the information about the first non-public network. Thus, in scenarios where non-public networks are used, the terminal can reliably determine whether to perform the first operation according to the information about the first non-public network.

[0037] It should be noted that the terminal's determination of whether to perform the first operation according to the first non-public network information can be set in the protocol, or the network device can provide the instruction about this.

[0038] For example, when a network device instructs a terminal to determine whether to perform the first operation according to information about a first non-public network, the terminal may determine whether to perform the first operation according to information about the first non-public network. For example, when a network device instructs a terminal not to determine whether to perform the first operation according to information about the first non-public network, the terminal may not determine whether to perform the first operation according to information about the first non-public network.

[0039] In one embodiment of the present invention, said first operation includes a self-organizing network (SON) operation and / or a minimization of drive tests (MDT) operation.

[0040] In one embodiment of the present invention, said first operation includes at least one of the following:

[0046] In one embodiment of the present invention, said first operation may include SON measurement and / or MDT measurement. The terminal may perform SON measurement and / or MDT measurement in case of determining that the first operation should be performed according to the information about the first non-public network; the terminal may not perform SON measurement and / or MDT measurement in case of determining that the first operation should not be performed according to the information about the first non-public network.

[0047] In one embodiment of the present invention, said first operation may include recording a SON measurement and / or an MDT measurement result. The terminal may record the SON measurement result and / or the MDT measurement result in case of determining that the first operation should be performed according to the information about the first non-public network; and the terminal may not record the SON measurement result and / or the MDT measurement result in case of determining that the first operation should not be performed according to the information about the first non-public network.

[0048] In one embodiment of the present invention, said first operation may include transmitting an indication of the availability of the SON measurement result and / or an indication of the availability of the MDT measurement result to the network device. The terminal may transmit an indication of the availability of the SON measurement result and / or an indication of the availability of the MDT measurement result to the network device in case of determining that the first operation should be performed according to the information about the first non-public network; and the terminal may not transmit an indication of the availability of the SON measurement result and / or an indication of the availability of the MDT measurement result to the network device in case of determining that the first operation should not be performed according to the information about the first non-public network.

[0049] In one embodiment of the present invention, said first operation may include transmitting an indication of the availability of the SON measurement configuration and / or an indication of the availability of the MDT measurement configuration to the network device. [0050] In one embodiment of the present invention, said first operation may include transmitting a SON measurement result and / or an MDT measurement result to a network device. The terminal may transmit the SON measurement result and / or the MDT measurement result to the network device in case of determining that the first operation should be performed according to the information about the first non-public network; and the terminal may not transmit the SON measurement result and / or the MDT measurement result to the network device in case of determining that the first operation should not be performed according to the information about the first non-public network.

[0051] In one embodiment of the present invention, said report includes at least one of the following:

[0052] radio link failure (RLF) report;

[0053] Successful Handover Report (SuccessHO-Report, SHR);

[0054] Random access report (RA);

[0055] connection establishment failure (CEF) report; and

[0056] Mobile Minimization Test (MDT) report.

[0057] In one embodiment of the present invention, the terminal may record information about the first non-public network in a radio link failure report variable, such as a VarRLF-Report variable.

[0058] In one embodiment of the present invention, the terminal may record information about the first non-public network in a success handover report variable, VarSuccessHO-Report.

[0059] In one embodiment of the present invention, the terminal may record information about the first non-public network in a random access report variable, for example, VarRA-Report.

[0060] In one embodiment of the present invention, the terminal may record information about the first non-public network in a connection establishment failure report variable, for example, VarConnEstFailReport.

[0061] In one embodiment of the present invention, the terminal may record information about the first non-public network in a mobile test minimization report variable, for example, VarLogMeasReport.

[0062] In one embodiment of the present invention, said first non-public network includes at least one of the following:

[0063] stand-alone non-public network (SNRN); and

[0064] Public network integrated into the public network (PNI-NRN).

[0065] In one embodiment of the present invention, said information about the first non-public network includes at least one of the following:

[0066] SNPN identifier;

[0067] PNI-NPN ID;

[0068] network identifier (NTD); and

[0069] Closed access group (CAG) identifier.

[0070] For example, if the first non-public network is a SNPN, the information about the first non-public network includes the NID, and this NID is associated with the existing PLMN identifier (ID) so that they jointly identify the SNPN. Alternatively, the information about the first non-public network may include the PLMN identifier (ID) and the NID.

[0071] For example, if the first non-public network is a PNI-NPN, the information about the first non-public network includes a CAG identifier, and this CAG identifier is associated with the existing PLMN identifier (ID) so that they jointly identify the PNI-NPN. Alternatively, the information about the first non-public network may include both the PLMN identifier (ID) and the CAG identifier.

[0072] In one embodiment of the present invention, said first non-public network includes at least one of the following:

[0073] Selected NPN of the terminal, in case the report recording is initiated;

[0074] Non-public registration network (Registered NPN) of the terminal, in case the report recording is initiated; and

[0075] At least one non-public network (equivalent to NPN) of the terminal, equivalent to the non-public network of registration of the terminal, in the case where the report recording is initiated.

[0076] In one embodiment of the present invention, if said first non-public network is an SNPN, the first non-public network may include an SNPN of the terminal, in the case where the report recording is initiated, and / or at least one SNPN equivalent to the SNPN of the terminal, in the case where the report recording is initiated.

[0077] In one embodiment of the present invention, the non-public network of the terminal may include a non-public network in which the terminal is located.

[0078] In one embodiment of the present invention, the terminal may record information about a selected non-public network in a report variable when a report recording is initiated, wherein the information about the selected non-public network is configured to determine whether the terminal should perform the first operation. For example, the terminal may determine whether to perform the first operation according to the information about the selected non-public network.

[0079] In one embodiment of the present invention, the terminal may record information about a non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network in a report variable in the case where a report recording is initiated, wherein the information about the non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network are configured for the terminal to determine whether to perform a first operation. For example, the terminal may determine whether to perform the first operation in accordance with the information about the non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network.

[0080] In one embodiment of the present invention, in a case where a report recording is initiated and the terminal has stored information about a non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network, the terminal may record the information about the non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network in a report variable, wherein the information about the non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network is configured for the terminal to determine whether to perform the first operation.

[0081] When the terminal does not have stored information about a non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network, the terminal may record information about the selected non-public network in a report variable, wherein the information about the selected non-public network is configured to determine whether the terminal should perform the first operation. For example, the terminal may determine whether to perform the first operation according to the information about the selected non-public network.

[0082] In one embodiment of the present invention, information about a non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network is determined based on non-access stratum (NAS) signaling.

[0083] In one embodiment of the present invention, after receiving information about a non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network from the NAS signaling, the terminal may store information about the non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network.

[0084] In one embodiment of the present invention, when a terminal registers in a non-public network, the access and mobility management function (AMF) in the core network may indicate to the terminal a non-public network equivalent to the non-public network in which the terminal has registered, for example, by communicating with the terminal through non-access layer signaling. After receiving the non-access layer signaling, the terminal may determine information about the non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network, according to the non-access layer signaling.

[0085] Fig. 2 is a flowchart illustrating another method for determining an operation according to one embodiment of the present invention. This method can be performed by a terminal. According to the illustration in Fig. 2, the method for determining an operation further includes the following steps.

[0086] In step S201, it is determined whether to perform the first operation in accordance with the relationship between the information about the second non-public network in which the terminal is located and the information about the first non-public network.

[0087] It should be noted that the embodiment of the present invention shown in Fig. 2 can be implemented independently or in combination with at least one of the other embodiments of the present invention, depending on specific requirements and without limiting the present invention in this regard.

[0088] In one embodiment of the present invention, in the case of determining whether to perform the first operation, the terminal may determine information about the second non-public network, and then determine whether to perform the first operation, according to the relationship between the information about the second non-public network and the information about the first non-public network.

[0089] In one embodiment of the present invention, the second non-public network is the non-public network in which the terminal is located when determining whether to perform the first operation. For example, the second non-public network may be the non-public registration network in which the terminal is located when determining whether to perform the first operation.

[0090] In one embodiment of the present invention, determining whether to perform the first operation in accordance with the relationship between the information about the second non-public network in which the terminal is located and the information about the first non-public network includes at least one of the following:

[0091] In the case where the information of the first non-public network includes information of the second non-public network, determining that the first operation should be performed; or

[0092] In the case where the information of the first non-public network does not include the information of the second non-public network, determining that the first operation should not be performed.

[0093] In one embodiment of the present invention, when determining whether to perform the first operation, the terminal may determine information about a second non-public network in which the terminal is located, and then determine whether the information about the first non-public network includes information about the second non-public network. In response to determining that the information about the first non-public network includes information about the second non-public network, the terminal may perform the first operation. In response to determining that the information about the first non-public network does not include information about the second non-public network, the terminal does not perform the first operation.

[0094] In one embodiment of the present invention, the fact that the information about the first non-public network includes information about the second non-public network may mean that the information about the first non-public network is identical to the information about the second non-public network. In this case, the terminal performs the first operation in response to the fact that the information about the second non-public network is identical to the information about the first non-public network.

[0095] In one embodiment of the present invention, the fact that the information about the first non-public network includes information about the second non-public network may mean that a portion of the information about the first non-public network is identical to the information about the second non-public network. In this case, the terminal performs the first operation in response to the fact that the information about the second non-public network is included in the information about the first non-public network.

[0096] In one embodiment of the present invention, information about the first non-public network may be written to a report variable in the form of a list or in another form.

[0097] For example, a list storing information about the first non-public network may include the non-public network of registration of the terminal and at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public network of registration, when a report recording is initiated. When determining whether to perform the first operation, the terminal may determine information about the second non-public network in which the terminal is located, and then determine whether the list storing information about the first non-public network includes information about the second non-public network.

[0098] In the case where the list in which information about the first non-public network is recorded includes information about the second non-public network, that is, the second non-public network is the non-public registration network of the terminal or at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network, in the case where the report recording is initiated, the terminal can perform the first operation.

[0099] In the case where the list in which the information of the first non-public network is recorded does not include the information of the second non-public network, that is, the second non-public network is not the non-public registration network of the terminal or at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network, in the case where the report recording is initiated, the terminal does not perform the first operation.

[0100] Fig. 3 is a flowchart illustrating another method for determining an operation according to one embodiment of the present invention. This method can be performed by a terminal. According to the illustration in Fig. 3, the method for determining an operation further includes the step described below.

[0101] In step S301, in the case where the information about the first non-public network does not include the information about the second non-public network, the information included in the report variable is deleted.

[0102] It should be noted that the embodiment of the present invention shown in Fig. 3 can be implemented independently or in combination with at least one of the other embodiments of the present invention, depending on specific requirements and without limiting the present invention in this regard.

[0103] In one embodiment of the present invention, since the terminal is currently in the second non-public network, when the terminal determines that the information about the first non-public network does not include the information about the second non-public network, the information about the first non-public network has little significance for the terminal and can be deleted. Accordingly, when the information about the first non-public network does not include the information about the second non-public network, the terminal can delete the information included in the report variable and thereby delete the information about the first non-public network recorded in the report variable, in order to save memory.

[0104] Fig. 4 is a flowchart illustrating a method for instructing an operation according to one embodiment of the present invention. The method for instructing an operation illustrated in this embodiment of the present invention may be performed by a network device. The network device may communicate with a terminal. The network device may include, but is not limited to, a base station in a communication system, such as a 4G base station, a 5G base station, or a 6G base station. The terminal includes, but is not limited to, communication devices such as a mobile phone, wearable devices, sensors, and Internet of Things (IoT) equipment.

[0105] Referring to the illustration of Fig. 4, the method for instructing an operation may include the steps described below.

[0106] In step S401, the terminal is instructed to determine or not determine whether to perform the first operation, according to the information about the first non-public network recorded in the report variable.

[0107] According to this embodiment of the present invention, the network device can instruct the terminal to determine whether to perform the first operation according to the information about the first non-public network recorded in a report variable. Accordingly, the terminal can record the information about the first non-public network in the report variable and determine whether to perform the first operation according to the information about the first non-public network. Thus, in scenarios where non-public networks are used, the terminal can reliably determine whether to perform the first operation according to the information about the first non-public network.

[0108] It should be noted that the determination by the terminal whether to perform the first operation according to the information about the first non-public network may be specified in the protocol, or the instruction about this may be provided by the network device, which is described in the embodiment of the present invention shown in Fig. 4.

[0109] In one embodiment of the present invention, said first operation includes a self-organizing network (SON) operation and / or a mobile test minimization (MDT) operation.

[0110] In one embodiment of the present invention, said first operation includes at least one of the following:

[0111] measurement, such as SON measurement and / or MDT measurement;

[0112] Record the measurement result, such as SON measurement result and / or MDT measurement result;

[0113] transmitting an indication of the availability of a measurement result to a network device, for example, transmitting an indication of the availability of a SON measurement result and / or an indication of the availability of a MDT measurement result to a network device;

[0114] transmitting an indication of the availability of the measurement configuration to the network device, for example, transmitting an indication of the availability of the SON measurement configuration and / or an indication of the availability of the MDT measurement configuration to the network device; and

[0115] Transmit the measurement result to the network device, such as transmitting the SON measurement result and / or MDT measurement result to the network device.

[0116] In one embodiment of the present invention, said first operation may include SON measurement and / or MDT measurement. The network device may instruct the terminal to determine or not to determine whether to perform SON measurement and / or MDT measurement, according to information about the first non-public network.

[0117] The terminal may perform SON measurement and / or MDT measurement in case of determining that the first operation should be performed according to the information of the first non-public network; the terminal may not perform SON measurement and / or MDT measurement in case of determining that the first operation should not be performed according to the information of the first non-public network.

[0151] In one embodiment of the present invention, if said first non-public network is an SNPN, the first non-public network may include an SNPN of the terminal, in the case where the report recording is initiated, and / or at least one SNPN equivalent to the SNPN of the terminal, in the case where the report recording is initiated.

[0152] In one embodiment of the present invention, the non-public network where the terminal is located may refer to the non-public network in which the terminal is registered.

[0153] In one embodiment of the present invention, a network device may instruct a terminal to determine whether to perform the first operation based on information about a selected non-public network. The terminal may record information about the selected non-public network in a report variable when a report recording is initiated, wherein the information about the selected non-public network is configured to determine whether the terminal should perform the first operation. For example, the terminal may determine whether to perform the first operation based on information about the selected non-public network.

[0154] In one embodiment of the present invention, the network device may instruct the terminal to determine or not determine whether to perform the first operation, according to the information about the non-public registration network and / or the information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network. The terminal may record the information about the non-public registration network and / or the information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network in a report variable, in the case where the report recording is initiated, wherein the information about the non-public registration network and / or the information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network are configured for the terminal to determine whether to perform the first operation.For example, the terminal may determine whether to perform the first operation in accordance with information about a non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network.

[0155] In one embodiment of the present invention, in a case where a report recording is initiated and the terminal has stored information about a non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network, the terminal may record the information about the non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network in a report variable, wherein the information about the non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network are configured for the terminal to determine whether to perform the first operation.

[0156] When the terminal does not have stored information about a non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network, the terminal may record information about the selected non-public network in a report variable, wherein the information about the selected non-public network is configured to determine whether the terminal should perform the first operation. For example, the terminal may determine whether to perform the first operation according to the information about the selected non-public network.

[0157] In one embodiment of the present invention, information about a non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network is determined based on communication with a core network.

[0158] In one embodiment of the present invention, when a terminal registers in a non-public network, the access and mobility management function (AMF) in the core network may indicate to the terminal a non-public network equivalent to the non-public network in which the terminal has registered, for example, by communicating with the terminal via non-access layer signaling. After receiving the non-access layer signaling, the terminal may determine information about the non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network, according to the non-access layer signaling.

[0159] The core network may also transmit information about a non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network to the network device. Thus, the network device can determine information about the non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network based on communication with the core network.

[0160] In one embodiment of the present invention, after receiving information about a non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network from the non-access layer signaling, the terminal may store information about the non-public registration network and / or information about at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network.

[0161] Fig. 5 is a flowchart illustrating another method for instructing an operation according to one embodiment of the present invention. The proposed method can be executed by a network device. According to the illustration of Fig. 5, instructing the terminal to determine or not determine whether to perform the first operation according to the information about the first non-public network recorded in the report variable includes the step described below.

[0162] In step S501, the terminal is instructed to determine or not to determine whether to perform the first operation, according to the relationship between the information about the second non-public network in which the terminal is located and the information about the first non-public network.

[0163] It should be noted that the embodiment of the present invention shown in Fig. 5 can be implemented independently or in combination with at least one of the other embodiments of the present invention, depending on specific requirements and without limiting the present invention in this regard.

[0164] In one embodiment of the present invention, the network device may instruct the terminal to determine or not to determine whether to perform the first operation, in accordance with the relationship between information about the second non-public network in which the terminal is located and information about the first non-public network.

[0165] In the case of determining whether to perform the first operation, the terminal may determine information about the second non-public network, and then determine whether to perform the first operation, according to the relationship between the information about the second non-public network and the information about the first non-public network.

[0166] In one embodiment of the present invention, the second non-public network is the non-public network in which the terminal is located when determining whether to perform the first operation. For example, the second non-public network may be the non-public registration network in which the terminal is located when determining whether to perform the first operation.

[0167] In one embodiment of the present invention, instructing the terminal to determine or not to determine whether to perform the first operation in accordance with the relationship between the information about the second non-public network in which the terminal is located and the information about the first non-public network includes at least one of the following:

[0168] instructing the terminal to perform the first operation in the case where the information of the first non-public network includes the information of the second non-public network; or

[0169] Instruct the terminal not to perform the first operation when the information of the first non-public network does not include the information of the second non-public network.

[0170] In one embodiment of the present invention, the network device may instruct the terminal to perform the first operation in the case where the information about the first non-public network includes the information about the second non-public network; and the network device may instruct the terminal not to perform the first operation in the case where the information about the first non-public network does not include the information about the second non-public network.

[0171] When determining whether to perform the first operation, the terminal may determine information about a second non-public network in which the terminal is located, and then determine whether the information about the first non-public network includes information about the second non-public network. Upon determining that the information about the first non-public network includes information about the second non-public network, the terminal may perform the first operation. Upon determining that the information about the first non-public network does not include information about the second non-public network, the terminal does not perform the first operation.

[0172] In one embodiment of the present invention, the fact that the information about the first non-public network includes information about the second non-public network may mean that the information about the first non-public network is identical to the information about the second non-public network. In this case, the terminal performs the first operation in response to the fact that the information about the second non-public network is identical to the information about the first non-public network.

[0173] In one embodiment of the present invention, the fact that the information about the first non-public network includes information about the second non-public network may mean that a portion of the information about the first non-public network is identical to the information about the second non-public network. In this case, the terminal performs the first operation in response to the fact that the information about the second non-public network is included in the information about the first non-public network.

[0174] In one embodiment of the present invention, information about the first non-public network may be recorded in a report variable in the form of a list or in another form.

[0175] For example, a list storing information about the first non-public network may include the non-public network of registration of the terminal and at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public network of registration, when a report recording is initiated. When determining whether to perform the first operation, the terminal may determine information about the second non-public network in which the terminal is located, and then determine whether the list storing information about the first non-public network includes information about the second non-public network.

[0176] In the case where the list in which information about the first non-public network is recorded includes information about the second non-public network, that is, the second non-public network is the non-public registration network of the terminal or at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network, in the case where the report recording is initiated, the terminal can perform the first operation.

[0177] In the case where the list in which the information of the first non-public network is recorded does not include the information of the second non-public network, that is, the second non-public network is not the non-public registration network of the terminal or at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public registration network, in the case where the report recording is initiated, the terminal does not perform the first operation.

[0178] Fig. 6 is a flowchart illustrating another method for instructing an operation according to one embodiment of the present invention. The proposed method can be executed by a network device. According to the illustration of Fig. 6, the method for instructing an operation further includes the step described below.

[0179] In step S601, the terminal is instructed to delete the information included in the report variable in the case where the information about the first non-public network does not include the information about the second non-public network.

[0180] It should be noted that the embodiment of the present invention shown in Fig. 6 can be implemented independently or in combination with at least one of the other embodiments of the present invention, depending on specific requirements and without limiting the present invention in this regard.

[0181] In one embodiment of the present invention, since the terminal is currently in the second non-public network, when the terminal determines that the information about the first non-public network does not include the information about the second non-public network, the information about the first non-public network has little significance for the terminal and can be deleted. Therefore, the network device can instruct the terminal to delete the information included in the report variable when the information about the first non-public network does not include the information about the second non-public network. When the information about the first non-public network does not include the information about the second non-public network, the terminal can delete the information included in the report variable and thereby delete the information about the first non-public network recorded in the report variable for the purpose of saving memory.

[0182] Fig. 7 is a block diagram illustrating interaction between a terminal and a network device according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0183] According to the illustration of Fig. 7, the network device may instruct the terminal to determine or not determine whether to perform the first operation according to the information of the first non-public network recorded in the report variable. If it is determined that the network device instructs the terminal to determine whether to perform the first operation according to the information of the first non-public network recorded in the report variable, the terminal may determine whether to perform the first operation according to the information of the first non-public network recorded in the report variable.

[0184] In one embodiment of the present invention, said first non-public network includes at least one of the following:

[0185] the selected non-public network of the terminal, in case the report recording is initiated;

[0186] the non-public network of registration of the terminal, in case the report recording is initiated; and

[0187] at least one non-public network equivalent to the non-public network of the terminal registration, in the case where the report recording is initiated.

[0188] In one embodiment of the present invention, the network device may instruct the terminal to determine or not to determine whether to perform the first operation, in accordance with the relationship between information about the second non-public network in which the terminal is located and information about the first non-public network.

[0189] For example, the network device may instruct the terminal to perform the first operation in the case where the information about the first non-public network includes the information about the second non-public network; and the network device may instruct the terminal not to perform the first operation in the case where the information about the first non-public network does not include the information about the second non-public network.

[0190] In the case of determining that the network device instructs the terminal to determine whether to perform the first operation in accordance with the relationship between the information about the second non-public network in which the terminal is located and the information about the first non-public network, the terminal may determine whether to perform the first operation in accordance with the relationship between the information about the second non-public network in which the terminal is located and the information about the first non-public network.

[0191] For example, in the case where the information of the first non-public network includes the information of the second non-public network, the terminal determines that the first operation should be performed; and in the case where the information of the first non-public network does not include the information of the second non-public network, the terminal determines that the first operation should not be performed.
