Description

[0001] The invention relates to radio engineering and can be used for shielding microwave sources of electromagnetic fields placed inside a gas pipeline.

[0002] A method for shielding an object is known, described in the electronic resource faraday.ruvelter.tech (date of access 11 / 10 / 2025), which includes placing an electromagnetic field around the object, leaking electromagnetic waves into the shielded object, creating a Faraday electromagnetic screen around the shielded object, making this screen continuous without holes and gaps from a metal with high conductivity.

[0003] The disadvantage of the known method is that it cannot provide shielding of the microwave source of the electromagnetic field placed inside the gas pipeline in such a way that electromagnetic waves from the microwave source do not propagate inside the gas pipeline, and the microwave source is purged with gas pumped through the gas pipeline.

[0004] The closest of the known technical solutions is the method of operation of a microwave oven (microwave oven), described in the electronic resource arghome.ruscience.mail.rujournal.citilink.ru, (date of access 11 / 10 / 2025), which contains the placement of a microwave source inside the shielded object, the spread of electromagnetic waves from the source of the electromagnetic field inside and outside the shielded object, and the leakage of electromagnetic waves beyond the shielded object.

[0005] The disadvantage of the known prototype method is that it cannot provide shielding of the microwave source of the electromagnetic field placed inside the gas pipeline in such a way that electromagnetic waves from the microwave source do not propagate inside the gas pipeline, and the microwave source of the electromagnetic field is blown through by the gas pumped through the gas pipeline.

[0006] It should be noted that the authors are not aware of any methods for shielding microwave sources of electromagnetic fields placed inside a gas pipeline and simultaneously being blown through by gas pumped through the pipeline.

[0007] The reason that prevents the achievement of the technical result specified below when using the known prototype method is the impossibility of purging with gas pumped through the gas pipeline.

[0008] The main task that the claimed object is aimed at solving is the creation of a method that allows for the shielding of a microwave source of an electromagnetic field placed inside a gas pipeline pipe, in such a way that the microwave source is purged with gas pumped through the gas pipeline, and electromagnetic waves from the microwave source do not propagate inside the gas pipeline pipe.

[0009] The technical result achieved by implementing the claimed method is to ensure shielding of the microwave source of the electromagnetic field placed inside the gas pipeline pipe, while purging the microwave source of the electromagnetic field with gas pumped through the gas pipeline, and the absence of propagation of electromagnetic waves inside the gas pipeline pipe from the microwave source of the electromagnetic field.

[0010] The said technical result is achieved by the fact that in the method of shielding a microwave source of an electromagnetic field inside a gas pipeline, which consists in placing the microwave source of an electromagnetic field inside the shielded volume, the scattering of electromagnetic waves from the microwave source of an electromagnetic field inside and outside the shielded volume, the possibility of insignificant leakage of electromagnetic waves beyond the shielded volume, while the shielded volume is located inside the gas pipeline pipe, the nearest short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line are placed to the left and to the right of the microwave source of an electromagnetic field, ensuring that at the left and right boundary of the shielded volume the values of the input resistance of the nearest short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line theoretically tend to infinity (in reality, more than a hundred kilo-ohms),the distant short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line are mirror-imaged to the left and right of the nearby short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line, the nearby and distant short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line, as well as the shielded volume, together with the microwave source of the electromagnetic field, are purged with gas pumped through the gas pipeline, the internal volume of the gas pipeline along the length of the distant short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line is converted into an absorber of electromagnetic wave energy, after which complete shielding of the microwave source of the electromagnetic field inside the gas pipeline is performed.

[0011] Introduction of new significant operations: location of the shielded volume inside the gas pipeline pipe, placement of the near short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line to the left and right of the microwave source of the electromagnetic field, ensuring that the input resistance values of the near short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line at the left and right boundaries of the shielded volume theoretically tend to infinity (in reality, more than a hundred kilo-ohms), purging the near and far short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line, as well as the shielded volume together with the microwave source of the electromagnetic field with gas pumped through the gas pipeline, the product of mirror placement of the far short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line to the left and right behind the near short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line,The transformation of the internal volume of the gas pipeline along the length of the distant short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line into an absorber of electromagnetic wave energy, the implementation of complete shielding of the microwave source of the electromagnetic field inside the gas pipeline allows for the shielding of the microwave source of the electromagnetic field inside the gas pipeline when pumping gas through the microwave source of the electromagnetic field and the prevention of the propagation of electromagnetic waves inside the gas pipeline pipe from the microwave source of the electromagnetic field.

[0012] The essence of the invention is explained by a drawing, where Figure 1 shows a diagram of the sequence of operations implemented by the claimed method.

[0013] The method of shielding a microwave source of electromagnetic field inside a gas pipeline is carried out as follows. The microwave source of electromagnetic field is placed inside the shielded volume, the electromagnetic waves from the microwave source of electromagnetic field scatter inside and outside the shielded volume, insignificant leakage of electromagnetic waves beyond the shielded volume, the shielded volume is located inside the gas pipeline pipe, the nearest short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line are placed to the left and right of the microwave source of electromagnetic field, it is ensured that the input resistance values of the nearest short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line at the left and right boundaries of the shielded volume tend theoretically to infinity (in reality, more than a hundred kilo-ohms),the distant short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line are mirror-imaged to the left and right of the nearby short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line, the nearby and distant short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line, as well as the shielded volume, together with the microwave source of the electromagnetic field, are purged with gas pumped through the gas pipeline, the internal volume of the gas pipeline along the length of the distant short-circuited quarter-wave sections of the coaxial line is converted into an absorber of electromagnetic wave energy, and the microwave source of the electromagnetic field is completely shielded inside the gas pipeline.

[0014] Based on the above, a technical result is achieved, namely: ensuring shielding of the microwave source of the electromagnetic field, located inside the gas pipeline pipe, when the microwave source of the electromagnetic field is purged with gas pumped through the gas pipeline, and the absence of propagation of electromagnetic waves inside the gas pipeline pipe from the microwave source of the electromagnetic field.
