Description

[0001] The invention relates to the technique of converting light energy into electrical energy.

[0002] A known optocoupler with a semiconductor laser comprises a housing formed as a tube made of a dielectric material. A semiconductor laser is located at one end of the optocoupler housing, and a photovoltaic unit is located at the other end. The photovoltaic unit includes a housing, a photodetector element, a diverging lens, a reflective mirror, a coupling, an electrical connector, two contacts, and a light distributor. The photovoltaic unit housing is designed as a hollow cylinder with mirrored end surfaces. A solar cell array, coaxially mounted on the lateral inner surface of the photovoltaic unit housing, serves as the photodetector element. The light distributor is located on the axis of the photovoltaic unit housing and is designed as a glass tube coated with a thin reflective layer. One end of the glass tube is secured to the front end of the photovoltaic unit housing via a diverging lens, while the other end is covered by a reflective mirror and secured to the rear end of the photovoltaic unit housing. The technical result is an increase in the optocoupler's output power, improved electrical strength, and reduced energy loss.

[0003] (Patent of the Russian Federation 2 752 615 dated 01.02.2021)

[0004] This device has a low output power due to the use of a low-power radiation element in its composition - the maximum power of a semiconductor laser in continuous mode was achieved on an AlGaAs / GaAs heterostructure, it is 1695 mW at a current of 2350 mA at 25 ° C (I.S. Shashkin, Radiation characteristics of high-power semiconductor lasers (1060 nm) with a narrow mesa stripe contact based on asymmetric AlGaAs / GaAs heterostructures with a wide waveguide / / Physics and Technology of Semiconductors, 2020, Vol. 54, Issue 4. - pp. 408-413.)

[0005] This limits the output power of various devices built on the basis of such optocouplers, including optoelectronic transformers.

[0006] The technical result of the invention is to increase the output power of the optocoupler, its electrical strength, and reduce energy loss in it.

[0007] The problem, which the technical solution is aimed at solving, is achieved in that in the known device, comprising a housing, on the outer side surface of which there are potential distributors, a photoelectric unit including a housing, a photoreceiving element, which is a battery of solar cells, located coaxially on the lateral inner surface of the housing of the photoelectric unit, two contacts of solar cells and a light distributor, located on the axis of the housing of the photoelectric unit and made in the form of a glass tube, covered on top with a thin layer of a reflective coating, one end of the light distributor is fixed on the front end of the housing of the photoelectric unit, the second end on the rear end of the housing of the photoelectric unit, a second housing with potential distributors is additionally introduced, in the first housing with potential distributors, located on the left end of the photoelectric unit,a first elliptical mirror, a first spherical halogen lamp, and a first focon are sequentially mounted from left to right, optically connected, such that the spherical halogen lamp is located at the rear focus of the elliptical mirror, and the end face of the first focon, located on the left end of the light distributor, is at its front focus; in a second housing with potential distributors, a second elliptical mirror, a second halogen lamp, and a second focon are sequentially mounted from right to left, optically connected, such that the second spherical halogen lamp is located at the rear focus of the elliptical mirror, and the end face of the second focon, covered on top with a thin layer of reflective coating, is at its front focus, the optical axes of the first elliptical mirror, the first spherical halogen lamp, the first focon, the light distributor, the second elliptical mirror, the second halogen ball lamp, and the second focon are located on the same line;and the output contacts of the solar cells are located on the side surface of the photovoltaic block.

[0008] The figure shows a structural diagram with two elliptical mirrors.

[0009] An optocoupler with two spherical lamps comprises a photoelectric unit housing 1, a solar cell battery 2, a light distributor in the form of a glass tube 3, a mirror coating of the light distributor 4, a front end of the photoelectric unit 5, a rear end of the photoelectric unit 6, a first focon 7, a second focon 8, a first lamp 9, a second lamp 10, a first elliptical mirror 11, a second elliptical mirror 12, optocoupler terminals 13, 14, a first housing with potential distributors 15, a second housing with potential distributors 16. The arrows show the path of the light rays,

[0010] When there is no voltage on lamps 9, 10, there is no electric current at the output of solar cell battery 2.

[0011] When voltage is applied to the spherical lamps 9, 10, their radiation, passing through the optocoupler housing, made in the form of a hollow insulator 15 with potential distributors, hits the light distributor in the form of a glass tube 3 with a reflective side surface with a mirror coating 4. This radiation partially exits from it, simultaneously spreading in this tube, hits the battery of solar cells 2. In the battery of solar cells, the radiation of the spherical lamps is converted into electric current and then through two output contacts 13, 14 is transmitted to the consumer.

[0012] The proposed optocoupler with two spherical lamps provides higher output power than the prototype. This is achieved by using two spherical lamps (6) as the light source.

[0013] With two KGI 150 / 15 spherical xenon lamps, each rated at 150 W, and with a solar cell conversion efficiency of ~70%, the optocoupler output can produce ~210 W of electric current, accounting for losses during transmission of optical radiation from the spherical xenon lamp to the solar cell array. For this purpose, multilayer structures providing cascaded conversion of optical radiation can be used as solar cells. Three- and four-component compounds of elements from groups III and V of the periodic table can be used for these purposes. In addition, heterostructures with a variated base can be used, creating a wide-bandgap window at the output corresponding to the maximum spectral width of the converted radiation, and the base has a value that varies in depth (due to a smooth change in the composition, decreasing with depth).Such structures can be obtained using double, triple and quadruple compounds based on the components included in [Kirin I.G. Energy losses in secondary power sources with galvanic isolation systems “Source of optical radiation photoelectric converter” / Kirin I.G. / / Intelligence. Innovations. Investments. 2014. N 4. - P. 153-157].

[0014] Thus, compared to the prototype, the declared optocoupler has a higher output power.
