Abstract
Description
[0001] Field of technology to which the invention relates
[0002] The invention relates to mechanical engineering, namely to the field of metal forming, and can be used for the stamping of products with several rectangular cavities from sheet blanks, such as, for example, stainless steel kitchen sinks, food containers and trays with separate compartments, etc.
[0003] Technology Level
[0004] A known method for manufacturing products with two rectangular cavities involves forming them from a sheet metal blank through drawing and forming operations. In this method, the side walls between the cavities (the middle walls) are formed primarily by stretching the material (due to the forming operation). The remaining side walls of the cavities are formed mainly by moving the material from the flange, that is, by the drawing operation (Gu Jiawei, Evsyukov S.A., Artyukhovskaya T.Yu. Study of double-wash drawing / / Science, theory, practice of the aviation-industrial cluster of modern Russia. Proceedings of the IX All-Russian scientific and production conference dedicated to the Day of Russian Science and the 40th anniversary of JSC Ulyanovsk NIAT (Ulyanovsk, February 8, 2024): collection of scientific papers. - Ulyanovsk: UlSTU, 2024. - pp. 35-38).
[0005] A disadvantage of the known method is the limited depth of the resulting cavities. Material failure occurs in the forming zone. The middle sidewall requires less material to form than the other sidewalls, which involve the workpiece flange metal, making it more susceptible to failure.
[0006] Disclosure of the essence of the invention
[0007] The technical result achieved by using the invention consists in increasing the maximum permissible depth of the resulting rectangular cavities in the product without destroying the material.
[0008] The essence of the invention is that the method for drawing products with rectangular cavities includes forming at least two rectangular cavities from a sheet blank on a press by means of drawing and forming operations using a matrix, a punch and a clamp, the cavities are formed sequentially, first the first cavity completely, by means of one or more drawing operations, then the semi-finished product with the previously formed cavity is placed in a second stamp, which includes a matrix, a punch and a clamp, and an insert is installed in the previously formed cavity, the shape of which is equidistant from its internal contour, and drawing is carried out with the movement of the flange of the blank in a direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of the press slider together with the previously formed cavity and the insert installed in it.Preferably, for drawing a product that has more than two rectangular cavities, the actions that are performed when forming the second cavity are repeated the appropriate number of times, while the third and subsequent rectangular cavities can be located either in a line or at a right angle to those previously formed.
[0009] Brief description of drawings
[0010] The invention is illustrated by the following drawings:
[0011] Fig. 1 – diagram of a stamp for producing the first cavity (the first stamp consists of a matrix 1, a punch 2 and a clamp 3),
[0012] Fig. 2 – diagram of the stamp and the initial position of the workpiece for obtaining the second (subsequent) cavity (the second stamp includes a matrix 4, a punch 5, a clamp 6 and an insert 7),
[0013] Fig. 3 – diagram of the stamp and the final position of the workpiece when forming the second (subsequent) cavity (the second stamp includes a matrix 4, a punch 5, a clamp 6 and an insert 7),
[0014] Fig. 4 – approximate view of the workpiece after obtaining the first cavity,
[0015] Fig. 5 – approximate appearance of the product after obtaining the second cavity,
[0016] Fig. 6 – possible appearance of the product after receiving the third cavity in the line,
[0017] Fig. 7 – possible appearance of the product after forming the third cavity at an angle.
[0018] Implementation of the invention
[0019] The proposed method is carried out as follows.
[0020] To achieve the technical result, the proposed method increases the volume of material used to form the middle sidewall. This is achieved by forming rectangular cavities sequentially.
[0021] The sheet blank is placed in the first die to form the first cavity by drawing. The first die (in Fig. 1) consists of a matrix 1, a punch 2, and a clamp 3. Then, traditional drawing is performed until the required depth of the first cavity is reached. In this case, several drawing transitions may be required. In this case, additional dies similar to those shown in Fig. 1 will be required. The semi-finished product after the first drawing (with the previously formed cavity) is placed in the second die. The second die (Figs. 2 and 3) includes a matrix 4, a punch 5, a clamp 6, and an insert 7. The gap between the insert 7 and the walls of the previously formed cavity should not be large to prevent folds.
[0022] When punch 5 is inserted into the blank, the side walls are formed. The previously formed cavity, with insert 7 installed within it, moves in a direction perpendicular to the movement of the press ram (horizontally). Thus, at this stage, all the side walls of the cavity are formed using the material of the blank flange, i.e., by the drawing operation. After the side wall of the previously formed cavity rests against die 4, the formation of the side wall between the cavities by the drawing operation ceases. Further formation of this wall (and an increase in cavity depth) can occur through the molding operation, i.e., by thinning the material.
[0023] Next, the third cavity can be formed in a line or at an angle (Figs. 6 and 7). The depth and dimensions of subsequent cavities can either match or differ from the depth and dimensions of the first cavity.
[0024] The claimed method allows for the use of a larger volume of the blank (flange) material to form the side walls of subsequent cavities, thereby increasing their depth. The use of inserts 7 prevents the loss of stability and deformation of previously formed cavities.
[0025] As shown by the results of mathematical modeling, the proposed method allows for an increase in the maximum permissible depth of subsequent cavities by at least 20%. From 100 mm (as in the prototype) to 120 mm, as with the proposed method.
