Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to rocket and space technology and is used to deploy and fix an antenna; it can also be used in any branch of technology where a single deployment of an antenna is required.
[0002] A device for moving an antenna is known, described in a patent (RU No. 2610519 C1 dated 20.10.2015), containing an electric motor on a rotary base, a lead screw, which is connected to the shaft of the electric motor through a torsion spring, a thrust spring is located at the end of the shaft of the lead screw, a movable lead nut is pivotally connected to a two-link rotary lever of the output shaft of the drive and a plate for fixing the deviation of the position of the lead screw, the rotary antenna base is provided with a mechanism for disengaging from the output shaft of the drive and fixing the rotary antenna base on the housing.
[0003] The disadvantage of this device is its complex design, which is justified for directional antennas that form a narrow radiation pattern. The device's capabilities are excessive for an omnidirectional antenna.
[0004] The objectives of the proposed technical invention are to increase the reliability and manufacturability of the device by reducing the number of actuators of the mechanization, simplifying the design and minimizing it for rational implementation in the composition of the aircraft.
[0005] The stated problem is solved due to the fact that in the device for opening and fixing the antenna, containing a base, a rotating antenna with a holder mounted on a movable shaft, and a fixation unit, wherein the base has a pyrotechnic stopper made in the form of a spring-loaded rod with two projections and kinematically connected with an opening located on the spring-loaded shaft, secured in supports with rolling bearings and occupying the extreme position "open" after the operation of the pyrotechnic stopper, wherein the extreme position corresponds to an opening on the shaft for a pin-type fixation unit, excluding further movement of the antenna, and stops installed on the surface of the holder, limiting the maximum angle of rotation of the antenna.
[0006] The antenna is connected via a feeder cable, which is routed through a groove in the base directly through the holder, bypassing the actuators of the device due to their displacement on different sides of the holder: the elastic element on one side of the holder, the pyrotechnic stopper on the other.
[0007] Two holes are made on the spring-loaded shaft for the protruding parts of the fixing unit and the pyrotechnic stopper, made with an angular step corresponding to the angle of rotation of the antenna when the device is triggered, for fixed fixation of the antenna in the “closed” and “open” positions, respectively.
[0008] The essence of the invention is explained by the drawings:
[0009] - Fig. 1 - device for opening and fixing the antenna assembly (top view);
[0010] - Fig. 2 - device for opening and fixing the antenna with the protective covers removed (top view);
[0011] - Fig. 3 - device with a local section along the pyrotechnic stopper;
[0012] - Fig. 4 - antenna in the “closed” position (left view);
[0013] - Fig. 5 - antenna in the “closed” position (longitudinal section along the splined connection);
[0014] - Fig. 6 - shaft in section (antenna in the “closed” position);
[0015] - Fig. 7 - antenna in the “open” position (top view);
[0016] - Fig. 8 - antenna in the "open" position (front view); The antenna opening and fixing device contains:
[0017] - base 1, installed on the aircraft body;
[0018] - antenna 2 with holder 3, firmly fastened to shaft 4 through a splined connection in loops 5, wherein shaft 4 is located on rolling bearings 6, which are installed in walls 7 and 8 of base 1, wherein wall 8 is removable, shaft 4 has an opening 9 interacting with pyrotechnic stopper 10;
[0019] - torsion spring 11, threaded over shaft 4 and fixed with free ends in cavities 12 and 13 of base 1, kinematically connected to holder 3 by means of tightened screw 14 and ensuring, in the cocked state, rotation of antenna 2 in the direction of opening due to the torque arising as a result of preliminary elastic deformation of spring 11;
[0020] - pyrotechnic stopper 10, mounted on base 1, having nut 15, spring 16, mounted on spring-loaded rod 17 with projections 18 and 19, where 18 holds shaft 4 with the help of hole 9, and projection 19 has a cavity for placing a pyrotechnic cartridge with a powder charge, ensuring the operation of the device;
[0021] - locking unit 20, made in the form of a spring-loaded minor axis 21, the false operation of which is excluded by the design of shaft 4, having an opening 22, located perpendicular to the axis of shaft 4, interacting with the locking unit exclusively in the “open” position;
[0022] - protective covers 23, protecting elements from mechanical damage, located on the base 1;
[0023] - plates 24 (2 pcs.), eliminating axial displacement of shaft 4 and ensuring fixation of bearings 6 in the seat;
[0024] - feeder 25, provides electrical connection of the antenna with other elements of the antenna-feeder device.
[0025] In the initial position, the pyrotechnic stopper 10, by means of the spring-loaded rod 17 with two projections 18 and 19, holds the shaft 4, wherein the antenna 2 is located in a position parallel to the base 1 (the "closed" position, the angle between the device installation plane and the plane passing through the axis of the antenna 2 and the axis of the shaft 4, α=0°). Upon command from the control system, the pyrotechnic stopper 10 is triggered, the spring-loaded rod 17 with two projections 18 and 19 moves, releasing the opening 9 of the shaft 4, and, under the action of the torsion spring 11, the shaft 4 rotates the antenna 2 to the "open" position (α=90°). The spring-loaded minor axis 21 of the locking unit 20 engages with the shaft 4 through the opening 22, preventing the free rotation of the antenna under the influence of external factors. Stops 26, installed on the surface of holder 3, limit the angle of rotation of antenna 2.Additionally, a damping element 27 is installed on the lower surface of the stop 26 by means of an adhesive connection, which prevents the impact of the metal surface of the stop 26 on the base 1 in the event of failure of the fixation unit 20.
[0026] The device is installed on the aircraft by screwing in three captive screws 28 from the deployment device, access to which is provided by the design of the device, and does not require modification of the body elements of the aircraft except for making threaded holes for the fastening group and the presence of a flat mating surface for installing the body.
[0027] The proposed technical solution allows for a simplified design by eliminating the electromechanical rotation initiator in favor of a pyrotechnic one implemented in conjunction with locking elements, and for increased manufacturability due to a quick-release monoblock assembly solution that is easy to install, replace, maintain, and configure.
